Chapter 445: Unexpected Visitor?
As the Second Bose-Fermi War reached a fever-pitch.
The battlefield descended into chaos, with nearly 20,000 Bose Alliance and Fermi Alliance Battle Stars clashing vehemently, each fighting their own fights, meleeing into a tangled mess, colorful Energy Weapons firing intermittently, occasionally punctuated by dazzling explosions!
From the perspective of the universe, the chaotic battlefield spanning about five light-years below looked like a precise circuit board, each Battle Star a component on that board, their energy beams akin to the electrically charged connections between components, and random explosions resembling sudden flashes of LED lights on the board. On a macro level, it all seemed to follow certain rules, but on a micro level, it was utterly lawless, filled with a contradictory beauty.
Due to the unprecedented scale of war efforts by both sides, this war endured as long as the lifespan of a circuit board.
In the blink of an eye, the Second Bose-Fermi War had lasted for over a decade, yet neither the Bose Alliance nor the Fermi Alliance had any intentions of retreating or compromising, both still engaged in a life-and-death struggle, aware that this could very well be their last war; a decisive victory was essential, for the winner would be able to securely enjoy the delightful prize of the Heavenly Nebula.
However, victory was not easy, especially between two equally matched civilizational alliances.
Up to now, both the Bose Alliance and Fermi Alliance had paid a heavy price for victory in this war, each losing nearly three thousand Battle Stars during the prolonged conflict of more than ten years. But given their manufacturing technology, producing one Battle Star would take more than a hundred years; the rate of destruction far exceeded that of production, leading to substantial losses for both sides.
Luckily among the misfortunes, most of the lost three thousand Battle Stars were weaker, subsidiary civilizations' Battle Stars, and those that survived the brutal war were either exceptionally powerful or incredibly fortunate—cruel, yet such is survival, and such is war.
As the war evolved into a brutally intense close-combat stage, the sacrifices from both sides would continue to increase.
This also meant that both the Bose Alliance and Fermi Alliance must change their strategies, or else continuing the struggle would lead to mutual devastation.
Such a simple truth was clearly understood by these Level 4 Civilizations of the Bose Alliance and Fermi Alliance, particularly after confronting each other for countless ages and growing exceedingly familiar with one another. Consequently, when the war reached a deadlock, both the Bose Alliance and Fermi Alliance made changes.
The Bose Alliance decided to deploy Celestial Civilization into the conflict, and, coincidentally, the Fermi Alliance also decided to dispatch their Celestial Civilizations.
Perhaps a coincidence, but also inevitable, given the current state of the war where, besides their Mother Stars, almost all other Battle Stars from both the Bose and Fermi Alliances had been mobilized. Thus, if they wanted to break the current deadlock, naturally, only the Celestial Civilizations were left to join the fight.
Regarding Celestial Civilizations, both the Bose Alliance and Fermi Alliance had extremely rich reserves.
A Life Community is now the longest-lasting and most mainstream civilizational model in the universe, so of course, both the Bose Alliance and Fermi Alliance are also Life Communities.
Among them, the real leader of the Bose Alliance is the black hole at the center of the Bose Nebula, respectfully referred to as Black Hole Tian Bo by the members of the Bose Alliance; whereas the real leader of the Fermi Alliance is the black hole at the center of the Fermi Nebula, referred to as Tian Fermi by the members of the Fermi Alliance.
Besides Tian Bo and Tian Fermi, these two life communities respectively possess twelve Constant Star Celestial Civilizations, ten White Dwarf Celestial Civilizations, and five Neutron Star Celestial Civilizations, collectively constituting a tremendously formidable combat force and represented the strongest might of the Bose Alliance and Fermi Alliance.
Thunderous roars!
Once the mightiest forces from both sides entered the battle, the intensity of the Second Bose-Fermi War escalated to a new level, where beams of energy weapons exceeding millions of kilometers in Energy Level burst forth intermittently. When these terrifying Energy Weapons collided and exploded, they produced Energy Waves comparable to a Supernova Explosion!
This also caused the battlefield to instantly expand from the original five light-years to a vast expanse of ten light-years.
On both ends of the battlefield, two immense nebulas confronted each other: the Bose Nebula and the Fermi Nebula. Within the center of these nebulas, the Black Hole Tian Bo and Black Hole Tian Fermi did not join the fight but continued to maintain the operation of the nebulas. Although there were not many celestial civilization Battle Stars left within them, these nebulas held a massive amount of resources accumulated over the years; a preliminary estimate suggested that the total mass of these materials was at least fifty million times that of Constant Star Mass.
Boom!
In the midst of this intense war, a Fermi Battle Star suddenly fired a Fermi Dispersion Wave.
The Fermi Dispersion Wave is one of the ultimate weapons of the Fermi Alliance, targeting the spatial dimensions. It uses special space frequencies to disperse and eliminate objects within and outside the space, thereby restoring space to its original form. One could say that the Dispersion Wave weapon is a lower-energy version of Flow Base Disassembly. Although the Dispersion Wave's mechanism doesn't delve as deep as Flow Base Disassembly into the Information Sea level, it is still a fearsomely powerful weapon.
Such a high-level ultimate weapon was originally thought to be used by the Fermi Alliance in destroying enemy stars.
However, to everyone's surprise, that Fermi Battle Star actually fired the Fermi Dispersion Wave towards an empty space with nothing in it. It was puzzling—was it striking air?
However, there are generally three possibilities in such a scenario. The first is that the people on the Fermi Battle Star have gone mad, the second is that there was a malfunction in the equipment on the Fermi Battle Star, and the third is that this Fermi Battle Star had a special attack target or a tactical consideration in mind.
The mystery revolving around this maneuver was finally revealed to everyone when the Fermi Dispersion Wave reached the designated area and dispersed everything inside and outside the space. Under the impact of the Fermi Dispersion Wave, a very concealed Space Wormhole was disrupted and dispersed, forcing a Bose Battle Star navigating through the wormhole to hastily escape the collapsing Space Wormhole.
"Bose Civilization, you thought you could play tricks right in front of us, but you're not quite up to par yet!"
After the downfall of the Bose Alliance's plot, the Fermi Alliance sent out this taunting message, also increasing their detection capabilities to prevent the Bose Civilization from secretly entering the Heavenly Nebula.
"Really? Your Fermi Civilization isn't that crafty either; stop using such low-grade tactics, you hear me!"
While sending this message, the Mother Star of the Bose Civilization fired a Bose Dispersion Wave and, just like that Fermi Battle Star, aimed it towards an empty space. Surprisingly, the outcome was similar; another obscure Space Wormhole was dispersed, forcing a Fermi Battle Star that was within to rapidly escape.
Indeed, this was the actual strategic tactic of both the Bose Alliance and the Fermi Alliance.
Previously, their grand maneuvers of engaging the Celestial Civilizations in battle were merely superficial delay tactics, merely to make the opponent believe they were gearing up for an all-out battle to the death.
In reality, they had clandestinely arranged for some Battle Stars to quietly open Space Wormholes and enter the Heavenly Nebula, hoping to seize it while both parties were engaged in the fierce outer conflict.
After all, the reason for their conflict was to struggle over the Heavenly Nebula, of course by any means necessary.
Therefore, when both the Bose Alliance and the Fermi Alliance saw the war reaching a deadlock, they each realized that changes were needed to win. Thus, they both coincidentally thought of this covert strategy of sneaking troops in, which was indeed ironic.
However, because both had conceived of this strategy simultaneously, each had a heightened sense of caution and vigilance against the other. This enabled them to timely detect subtle space fluctuations during the war and perceive the opposing side's conspiracy.
When the final scheme was uncovered, both the Bose Alliance and the Fermi Alliance had no other choice but to fight openly. They battled fiercely while guarding against each other's attempts to use wormholes to enter the Heavenly Nebula, dispersing Space Wormholes whenever they detected the opponent's efforts to open one.
Thus, while fighting and defending simultaneously, the Bose Alliance and the Fermi Alliance fiercely contended, battling intensely until the sky darkened and the earth shattered!
However, suddenly, during the fierce battle, both parties simultaneously fired Dispersion Waves towards a certain empty space. After firing the Dispersion Waves, they realized—both sides had made their move. This suggested that the Space Wormhole wasn't theirs—then whose was it?
