Wandering in Omniverse

Very quickly, they arrived in front of the Palace. 

It was only after they entered the Palace that Zhou Weiqing finally saw other people – four youths dressed in light blue robes, standing at both sides of a large hall.

The decorations within the Palace were not very grand or resplendent, just a simple light blue color with a few gems embedded to complete the simple but beautiful look. 

Shangguan Longyin walked to the center of the large hall, lifting his right hand and a light blue gemstone appeared in it. Soon after, a light blue light shone forth from the gemstone, spreading out swiftly and instantly covering every nook and cranny of this thousand-metre large hall.

A magnificent sight accompanied the splendor of the blue light as it spread around the whole hall. The surrounding walls were ten meters tall, all with various gemstones inlaid. These gemstones seemed to be activated by the incoming blue light, and all of them burst forth with their own light as well. At that moment, the entire hall was filled with a cacophony of colors, strange yet beautiful.

On the floor, symbols and formations started to appear one after the other, with varied colors, from simple designs to complicated formations. The thick Heavenly Energy filling the entire hall caused Zhou Weiqing's shocked heart to reverberate once more.

Shangguan Longyin gestured towards Zhou Weiqing, signaling for him to follow behind, before turning and walking to one of the gold formations that had appeared in the midst of the hall floor.

Subconsciously, Zhou Weiqing followed suit.

Another gold ray of light appeared around them, and once again their surroundings seemed to blur.

Another teleportation!

Another flash of gold light and both Zhou Weiqing and Shangguan Longyin appeared in another space. It was another wide hall, but this time the coloring was all different; from the light blue of the previous hall to a light gold color.

On the inner side of the hall, there were three grand large chairs raised up slightly atop a platform. There were a few people in the area, and Zhou Weiqing realized that he recognized almost all of them.

Of the three chairs, two were filled, the center and left one, with the one on the right empty. 

Shangguan Longyin walked forward and stood below the left chair with a respectful expression.

Zhou Weiqing chuckled and happily waved his hand at the beautiful woman. "Mother-in-law, how are you doing? You haven't killed the stinky husband of yours yet!"

Shangguan Tianyue's face fell and he curled his lips in displeasure. But despite that he didn't dare to speak anything to the young man.

For the last few days, his lovely wife had pulled him straight, especially pulling his ears and threatening him to not say or do anything to her son-in-law or else this time she would take all three of her daughters and never let him see them again.

Tang Xian was a powerful mid-Heavenly God Tier powerhouse and Shangguan Tianyue was sure that she would definitely be capable of doing that.

Tang Xian giggled and placed her hand on Shangguan Tianyue's shoulder, tightening her grip. "Hehe... why should I? After all, have you forgotten the deal to marry my daughter!"

Zhou Weiqing's facial muscles twitched and he sighed. "Breaking a few bones of Bing'er's father, right?"

"Yep. It's good that you haven't forgotten it yet or else..."

It was Zhou Weiqing's turn to shudder now as he could imagine the point where she would refuse the marriage.

Shangguan Bing'er's mother was such a character and after joining the Heaven and Earth Sect, her character had turned even more brazen.

Shangguan Tianyue smiled bitterly and asked. "Xian'er, do you really want to see me get beaten by this little brat? Eek!"

Tang Xian tightened her grip further and even crushed his shoulder, asking with a dangerous smile. "What 'little brat!?' He is your son-in-law and if you don't want to sleep in a separate room for the rest of your life. You will treat him like that. Do! You! Get! That? Tianyue?!"

"Yes, Ma'am!" Shangguan Tianyue trembled like a poor lamb coming face to face with a ruthless carnivorous beast.

Shangguan Tianyang, the Palace Master of the Heavenly Expanse Palace, felt his facial muscles twitching at the exchange and coughed lightly, turning to Zhou Weiqing.

"Weiqing, before you actually become our Heaven's Expanse Palace son-in-law, I'll call you this first."

"Greetings, First Uncle. Since you're Bing'er's and Sister Xue'er's uncle then I will also call you that. I hope it will not be rude."

Hearing his words, both Shangguan Longyin and Shangguan Tianyue were dumbfounded while Tang Xian and Shangguan Xue'er couldn't help but reveal a smile on their faces.

'Such shamlessness! He is definitely his disciple!'

"You...!" Shangguan Tianyue realized that his usual control and composure were easily tested by this little rascal. He might have exploded on the spot if not for Tang Xian standing behind him closely.

Shangguan Tianyang took a moment to digest everything before he recovered his usual expression.

"You really are one of a kind. No one has ever addressed me like that."

"Hahaha... stop it. I have heard how sharp you are Senior Tianyang. And we all are family here so why bother putting up a facade? How about both of you don't try to test each other and get to the point, considering we all are very busy people."

Shangguan Tianyang flashed a shocked expression before nodding his head. "Then let me get to the point, Weiqing. I want you to not participate any further in the Heavenly Jewel Tournament. You being a Heavenly Emperor Powerhouse, it is not fair to other competitors."

"I understand your point, First Uncle. But life is never fair in the first place. Just look at it this way... Even though the Heavenly Expanse Palace is sitting in the first position among the Five Great Saint Lands, there is not a single Heavenly Jewel Master with a Saint Element. Isn't it because of your legendary 11-piece God Tier Equipment Set – Boundless Infinitum Set that you are able to ride other Saint Lands."

"How are the two things related?" Shangguan Tianyue muttered a little angrily as the little rascal poked them where it hurt.

Zhou Weiqing grinned and asked instead rather than answering. "What are the two conditions for participating in the Heavenly Jewel Tournament? Your Heavenly Expanse Palace starts it so you should be clear about it, right?"

Shangguan Tianyang caught his hidden meaning and nodded his head. "I understand. Then I want to ask, will you join our Heavenly Expanse Palace by marrying my niece?"
