Wanda Maximoff Multiversal Harem Hunter

Chapter 44: The Crates Of Destiny

The heavy metal door groaned open, revealing a cavernous room dimly lit by hanging bulbs. Wanda Maximoff and Natasha Romanoff stepped inside cautiously, their eyes sweeping over the stacks of crates that filled the space. The crates bore a familiar logo—Stark Enterprises.

Wanda froze, her crimson eyes narrowing. "Stark Enterprises? Why would their weapons be here?"

Natasha's expression hardened as she approached one of the crates. "This doesn't make any sense. Talia would never allow her weapons to end up in the hands of terrorists."

Before Wanda could reply, Fracture's voice echoed in her mind, tinged with amusement. **"Wanda, your destiny truly is an intriguing one. Even when you don't intend it to, destiny leads you to your future partners."**

Wanda blinked, taken aback. "What are you talking about, Fracture?" she said aloud, drawing Natasha's curious gaze. "I am not obsessed with love."

**"Oh, Scarlet Witch,"** Fracture replied with a laugh. **"You may not be obsessed with love yet, but that won't stop others from being obsessed with you. Men and women alike will flock to you, but only you can choose who to embrace."**

Wanda groaned, her cheeks flushing slightly. "Enough with your cryptic nonsense," she muttered.

Natasha raised an eyebrow. "Something I should know about?"

Wanda shook her head quickly. "Just Fracture being... Fracture."

**"You'll see,"** Fracture added with a chuckle. **"You always do."**

Natasha turned her attention back to the crates, prying one open with a crowbar she'd found nearby. Inside were rows of neatly packed weapons—guns, grenades, even advanced missile launchers.

"I don't get it," Natasha said, her voice tinged with frustration. "Talia would never allow this. She's too careful, too meticulous about who gets access to her tech."

Wanda stepped closer, examining the logo on one of the weapons. "Then how do you explain this?"

Natasha sighed, running a hand through her hair. "I can't. But I know Talia, and she's not the type to look the other way. Something's off here."

Wanda nodded, her expression thoughtful. "Then we need to find out how these ended up here. And maybe Talia can help us."

Natasha glanced at Wanda, her green eyes narrowing. "You're suggesting we go to Talia directly?"

"Why not?" Wanda replied. "If she's as meticulous as you say, she'll want to know about this."

Fracture's voice chimed in, her tone playful. **"Ah, yes. Talia Ivory Stark. A pivotal piece of your destiny, Wanda. You must seek her out."**

Wanda frowned. "Fracture, enough."

**"Just guiding you along your path,"** Fracture said innocently.

Natasha crossed her arms. "You and Fracture having a lovers' spat over there?"

Wanda sighed, exasperated. "Let's just focus on the task at hand."

The sound of footsteps echoed from the corridor, interrupting their conversation. Natasha's stance shifted immediately, her pistols raised. Wanda turned toward the sound, her chaos magic crackling to life.

"They're coming," Natasha said, her tone sharp.

The door burst open, and a wave of Ten Rings members poured into the room, their assault rifles blazing.

"Perfect timing," Wanda muttered, dodging behind a crate as bullets ricocheted around them.

Natasha smirked, returning fire with precision. "Nothing like a little chaos to keep things interesting."

"You say that like it's a good thing," Wanda replied, blasting one of the attackers with a surge of crimson energy.

Natasha shrugged, her grin widening. "Hey, best date ever, right?"

Wanda paused mid-attack, turning to Natasha with a raised eyebrow. "Seriously? You're calling this a date?"

Natasha flushed slightly but covered it with a smirk. "Well, taking out terrorist trash isn't exactly conventional, but it has its charm."

Wanda rolled her eyes, a small smirk tugging at her lips. "You're unbelievable."

"Maybe," Natasha replied, her voice light. "But you're having fun, aren't you?"

The battle intensified, the confined space forcing them to adapt quickly. Wanda ducked behind another crate, her chaos magic swirling as she deflected a grenade.

"This stash is too good to waste," Wanda said suddenly, her gaze falling on a nearby bazooka.

Natasha followed her line of sight, her eyes widening. "Maximoff, don't even think about it—"

But Wanda was already moving, grabbing the bazooka and aiming it at the group of attackers. With a mischievous smirk, she fired.

The explosion was deafening, the force of it sending debris flying in all directions. The attackers were blown apart, their remains scattering like confetti.

Wanda lowered the bazooka, a satisfied grin on her face. "I can see why Eska likes to blow things up now."

Natasha pinched the bridge of her nose, shaking her head. "You're impossible."

"Thanks for noticing," Wanda replied, setting the bazooka down.

As the dust settled, Wanda accidentally knocked over a crate, its contents spilling onto the floor. Among the weapons and ammunition were several documents, their edges singed but intact.

"What's this?" Wanda muttered, picking up one of the papers.

Natasha leaned over her shoulder, her expression darkening as she read the words. "Project Rebirth?"

Wanda's eyes narrowed, her gaze scanning the document. The words "The Mandarin" and "Immortal—Do Not Cross" were scrawled in bold letters, along with Hydra symbols etched into the margins.

"Hydra," Wanda said, her voice cold.

Natasha nodded, her jaw tightening. "Looks like the Ten Rings and Hydra have more in common than we thought."

Wanda's grip on the paper tightened, her crimson energy sparking faintly. "Whatever they're planning, it ends here."
