[VRMMO] Chaos Doctor

With little to no next choice, our forces were forced to retreat, leaving behind just the conquered city.

This obviously hit our soldiers' morale and stuff, but still, it's better than getting wiped out.

However, there is an obvious side effect.

The elves are now able to fortify their line of defense back to their original state.

But…. Well, I wanted to say "fuck you", so I suggested to set the entire city on fire and let it burn down.

This will weaken the elven defenses and make it harder for them to repair the damage…. But on the other hand, it's also wounding us, since we needed a base at the frontlines and now we have lost a base that would be both an easy target as well as a perfect location.

Still, the benefits outshine the downsides, since we cannot let the enemy reinforce their line of defense.

And this is not the end of bad news.

Thanatos was forced to run away.

The elves had finally known her pattern, and they are now keeping extremely strict watch over food supplies.

The enemy is also suspicious of any unknown elves as well as animals that just appear to the point you could call them "paranoid" …. But that paranoia had saved them a few times already, which makes things annoying for us, especially for me.

The great forest is currently our biggest and most annoying concern that stands in our way of conquering the elven nation, as well as getting to their capital city.

However, the problem is obvious, their defenses.

And as for me? I'm out of ideas.

I miscalculated big time.

I wasn't expecting the elven race who is known for their low defensive stats, to be so good at defending.

The corpse plague virus had screwed over elves big time…. But these elves aren't useless like the rest of their kind for fuck sake!

And their queen, by the looks of things, is not as useless as the pope or the dwarven king.

The question is…. How do we deal with the elves?

Right now, we are focusing on the recovery, and by the looks of things, so are the elves.

It is a perfect chance to strike…. But with what army? An army of the half-dead wounded soldiers?

If I have my factories set up, I could probably produce a somewhat small army…. But I don't think it would work. I would need my tanks for the support to destroy the forest…. But would that really work?

We have a giant ass dragon lizards known as drakes that are straight up fantasy world tanks.

Damn. This is annoying.

I can't think of anything.

Assassination of the queen would go to… But even with Thanatos' skills, it would be a hard if not impossible task.

Spreading the plague inside the capital city would also be impossible, since apparently the security there is tight as hell, according to the elven players who are playing in that kingdom as well as with some of the players that are fighting on the other side.

"We need to have direct support from the organization and I mean an army of the enslaved invaders if you want to continue charging forward." – said the Doctor as he met up with the earth dragon general as well as his advisor.

"An army?" – asked the muscular lizardman.

"Can the organization provide us with something like that?"

"Wait, are you talking about borrowing an army from one of our allies?"

"No. I mean, the organization owns a private army." -said Doctor.

"An army of the enslaved angels, demons and spirits that had been turned into weapons that live only to serve the organization."

"They will not betray you and they will be forced to follow any commands, even if it means their death or killing their own kin."

"…"

"What is the cost?" – asked the general.

"!?"

"General?!" – asked the confused and alarmed lizardman.

"I know! I know! But the more time our enemy have, the harder it will be for us to push forward!" – said the dragon general as he grabbed his head in annoyance.

"Our reinforcement will come, but will it be enough? We need a lot of "power" at once if we wish to break through and completely destroy their defensive lines."

"…"

"But I cannot call the shots here… The only one who can decide that would be the earth dragon king, who put me in charge of this operation."

"…"

*Sigh*

"I will….. I will contact our king…. I will inform you all once the decision has been made."

"I understand." – said Doctor before standing up and then leaving the tent.

(Well, considering the current situation, the earth dragon king will have no choice but to accept my proposal if he wishes to completely destroy the elven kingdom and find out what happened to the stolen eggs.) – though Phantasia as he walked through the village.

(Still, how long would it take for the organization to send those enslavement haoles our way?)

("Kid" said that using these halos is a good idea, but it should be only used where the goal is to eliminate the otherworld invaders.)

(But besides that, they should never be used for the personal goals that are above the "elimination goal" …. "Kid" also didn't wanted to rely on the halos at all if possible during the last war as well…. Is there some sort of "price" for using them? I mean, they are giving us an army of soldiers and monsters for our disposal and stuff.)

(However, the current situation is in our favor and we should obtain the halos, since this kingdom does possess the World Tree, a giant parasite that the organization wants to be completely exterminated.)

(But it also all depends on the earth dragon king response.)

[Sometime later.]

"I've contacted the king and had already explained the situation to him." – said earth dragon general.

"And? Did he agreed?" – asked Doctor.

"…"

"Well…. Yes…. Honestly, he didn't wanted to do it at all, but after I explained to him in the details the current situation as well as the fact that the enemy have already done something to the eggs by now…. He agreed… He was bit pissed off, but he agreed." – said the general.

"!"

"Then that means- "

"We don't know yet. He said that he will negotiate with the organization, so it's not like I was given an answer regarding the subject." – said the dragon general before the lizardman could finish his question.

"Well, considering the circumstances, the organization should be able to provide you with the enslaved army." – said Doctor.

"The elves are definitely planning something shady right now AND these very same elves are the worshipers of the spirits, alongside the fact that the World Tree is in this kingdom, which is one of the organization's goals to exterminate."

"But we need to worry more about the earth dragon king negotiation skills."

"Right now, a small army of the enslaved monsters from heaven and hell won't work. We need a BIG army."

"If the organization does not provide us with a big enough army, then we could be in trouble."

The time went by, and we have been contacted back by the earth dragon king.

The negotiation had been successful and the organization had decided to send us some of their enslavement halos... But…. Not enough to create a big army.

The earth dragon king explained that the organization has been…. Running low on the halos recently.

Reason?

The members of the organization have been active pretty much everywhere, and there is also that massive war going on between 3 factions right now….. Yea…Fuck.

This isn't ideal.

We weren't promised a small amount of soldiers by no means…. But not enough either.

Welp, shit.

We can probably now break through the enemy defensive lines, but the biggest problem is the capital city of the elven kingdom where also the World Tree is located. That place will be fortified high as fuck and to make matters worse, the spirits are getting a buff if they are close to the World Tree… Which is obviously bad for us.

Dammit.

I can make some monsters, but not power enough with the stuff I have right now on the hand without any proper factories.

We don't have a big enough army to take down the enemy right now and if we don't do this in one go, then the enemy will restore their defenses….. Fuck me. The situation turned extremely pathetic for us.

The only other option would be to wait for the more earth dragon clan army to arrive and support us, but that would obviously give the elves more time to reinforce their defenses….

And I'm still out of ideas about the whole thing.

Was I by any chance overconfident since I made the whole corpse plague virus?

Maybe I should have brough these tanks with me instead of trying to get here as fast as possible…. Ah… I rushed it like an idiot and now I find myself without any means of moving forward.

….

Great…..

Now I won't be surprised at all if we were to lose this war.
