The priest that tried to report the situation to the guards outside the tend had sudden stopped in his tracks as soon as he tried to leave, confusing the young paladin and making him look over, only to see the guards lifeless corpses.

And as soon as the young paladin was distracted, Thanatos rushed in and tried cutting the paladin in half.

"[Holy Cross Slash]!" - the young paladin instantly swinged his sword once, creating an slash attack in the shape of the cross that collided with the Thanatos scythe, blocking, before moments later the young paladin rushed in, trying to stab Thanatos who easily dodged the attack by dodging to the side and quickly getting around the paladin, before then slashing him across his back.

"Tch!" - the paladin swinged his sword around, hitting Thanatos scythe and countering before the assassin could deal another blow to the paladin.

However surprising Thanatos backed away and quickly took out several knifes before throwing them at the paladin, alarming him and making deploy an [Light Shield] to protect himself from the knifes.

The knifes were blocked by the barrier, however these were not normal knifes, they were bomb knifes created by Phantasia that upon hitting the target would explode, and that caused the paladin barrier to get instantly destroyed and even hit with the chain blast of explosion, while also covering his vision.

The paladin backed away, but as soon as he did an scythe emerged from the smoke underneath.

The scythe rose up, aiming at the man head from below and in the last moment the young paladin managed to knock back the scythe before it would had pierced his head, but the young paladin wasn't unharmed from that attack as the scythe managed to slash the man face.

"[AKIMA GLORY]!" -paladin unleashed the wave of holy fire around himself, resulting in his tent getting completely destroyed.

"Move! Quicky!" - said the priest that was in the tent before, now leading an group of soldiers that ran towards the explosion of holy fire.

"..." - the nervous young paladin looked around, searching for the Thanatos.

"GENERAL?! ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!" - shouted the priest as he and several soldiers arrived to assist the young paladin.

"CAREFULL!" - shouted the young paladin.

"The enemy isn't dead yet! It can also hide in the shadows!" - said the young general as he looked around, only to realize something grim.

"Attack your shadows, NOW!" - shouted the young general in panic.

"What?" - said the confused priest.

"I SAID NOW!" - shouted nervous general.

The soldiers upon hearing the general desperate scream had instantly began attacking their own shadows with magic or with their while the general observed, trying to see if any of the shadows would react.

However, the one thing that nobody noticed was the seated tent column with the bit of cloth attached to it that had its own shadow.

The shadow came to the life and from it, Thanatos leaped out of it while carrying an small barrel.

"There!" - shouted the paladin that spotted Thanatos.

Thanatos twisted the top of the device she was holding, before then throwing it at the group of the soldiers while Thanatos leaped backwards.

Moments later after being thrown, the device opens up and began instantly spreading an yellowish green smoke that trapped all of the soldiers inside of it.

At first there was nothing but moments later the screams of the soldiers could be heard.

Blood coming out from their eyes and mouth while their skin melted.

(What the hell is this gas?!) - thought the panicking young general as he covered his mouth and held his breath.

The general began running thought the thick smoke, ramming though the soldiers that were on his way, before then finally getting out of the smoke.

However, as soon as the paladin tried breaking upon leaving the smoke, he saw in the corner of his eye Thanatos, before moment later the giant scythe was swinged and the young man head was send flying, before then it started rolling on the ground.

"...Mission completed." - said Thanatos before picking the young man head.

*COUGH* *COUGH* *COUGH*

"F-fuck! The hell is this?!" - shouted paladin upon leaving the deadly smoke as he and other people that were trapped were escaping to the safety.

"General? General! Where is the general?!" - shouted the worried priest as he walked around, trying to find the young paladin, only to suddenly stop after feeling something near his feet.

"Oh shit." - said the priest with his eyes wide open as he stared at the headless corpse of the young general, with his head missing and the shadow assassin nowhere in sight.

Thanatos managed to assassinate the church general and successfully escaped, all right underneath the church army nose.

And while the church army were still not aware of the general assassination, their forces were pushing though into the defenders, before finally forcing the defenders to fight head on with the church army.

And while all of that was happening outside the city, inside the Doctor alongside his giant gorilla chimera were dealing with the rampaging holy beast.

The giant bird monsters was setting the area around it with the holy fire while also breathing and using it to attack the gorilla chimera that was forced to defend itself.

However, while the bird creature was focused on the chimera, it did not noticed the Doctor falling down and impaling it second wing with the giant demonic nail, causing the creature to scream in pain.

"AGAIN!? I FUKING GOT YOU AGAIN WITH THE SAME THING?!" – shouted the Doctor.

"You not only look like an fuking bird, you even have an fuking bird brain!"

The giant bird began unleashing an wave of holy fire in all directions, trying to hit the Doctor who just kept his distance, before then firing the [Metal Javelins] and the [Poison Shards] at the holy beast, bombarding it and making it scream in pain.

(Huh…. I though…. I though this would be somewhat hard?) – though Phantasia as he dodged and blocked the incoming holy fire projectiles.

(But this bird is dumb as fuck and the only annoying thing about it its damage over time it does as well as the regenerative ability it possess… But beside that? I'm somewhat dominating the entire fight?)

The bird rushed at the Doctor who picked up an random remains of the house before then throwing at the creature, hitting it in the face, before then leaping at it, grabbing the creature head.

The bird like creature began unleashing the holy fire, setting the Doctor on fire.

You are fuking disappointing." – said Doctor as he transformed his right arm into the railgun and stabbed its tip right into the monster eye, before then firing the gun inside the creature head, unleashing an wave of energy that went straight into the creature head and made it grow, before then blowing it up with the large explosion.

The Doctor got send flying before crushing down on the ground, while the holy fire that made out of the creature flesh had started dispersing, before then disappearing, leaving only the armor like body parts behind.
