Chapter 6: Chapter 6: Birth of the predator
Onto the next hunt
Let the hunt begins
The Dreadfang Stalkers (Elite Corrupt Beasts)
After his brutal victory over the four corrupt monsters, Void God attracts the attention of something far more dangerous — a pack of Dreadfang Stalkers. These beasts thrive on hunting powerful prey and have sensed the rising Void energy around him. They descend upon him just as he's catching his breath, forcing him into an even deadlier fight.
Dreadfang Stalker (Elite) — Level 20
Attack: 1800
Defense: 900
Health: 10,000
Speed: 400 (Blindingly fast, their true strength lies in agility)
Skills:
Shadow Rend (A Rank): A slashing attack that leaves a lingering wound, draining health over time.
Nightstep (S Rank): Instantaneous movement through shadows — they can appear and disappear without warning.
Pack Tactics (B Rank): When near other Stalkers, their attacks become more coordinated and lethal.
The pack attacks in perfect synchronization — vanishing into shadows and striking from unexpected angles. Void God's Abyssal Insight (SS Rank) lets him barely keep up, reading their movements a split second ahead of time. Using Void Step (S Rank), he blinks out of harm's way, his sword carving through empty air until — finally — he starts predicting their patterns.
But their speed and teamwork push him to the edge. Shadow Rend tears through his defense, leaving wounds that bleed his health away. It's only when he uses Presence of the Abyss (S Rank) at full power that the tide shifts — the overwhelming stillness of the Void slows their movements, weakening their coordination.
With ruthless efficiency, he turns their own speed against them — forcing them into each other's attacks and striking with Void Piercer (B Rank), his thrusts distorting space and impaling them even as they try to escape into shadow. When the last Stalker falls, the battlefield is silent… except for the notification of his incredible level-up.
Level Up: +8 Levels (Level 13)
After defeating such high-level enemies solo, the system rewards him massively. The gap between his level and theirs, combined with his skill use and combat performance, earns him a flood of experience.
Stat Gains:
Attack: 3500 (+1400 increase)
Defense: 1100 (+500 increase)
Health: 12,500
Mana: 7000
Stamina: 6500
Luck: 7
His presence in Briarstead County is no longer a rumor. The Void God's rise has begun — and now, everyone is starting to take notice.
Current Stats (Level 13):
Attack: 3500
Defense: 1100
Health: 12,500
Mana: 7000
Stamina: 6500
Luck: 7
Reputation: Unknown (But that'll change soon)
The southern part of Briarstead County is still overrun with corrupt monsters far beyond his level — and there's no beginner-friendly area in sight. He's stuck in hostile territory, but that's exactly the kind of pressure where he thrives.
Let's go deeper may I will encounter something fruitful, is that a boss monster.
Boss Name: Blight-Touched Titan
Level: 25
Type: Corrupt Beast
Health: 10,000
Attack Power: 800
Defense: 500
Abilities:
Corruption Aura (Passive): A constant aura around the boss that deals 100 damage per second to all enemies within 10 meters. The more the boss is hit, the stronger the aura becomes.
Blight Slam (A Rank): A heavy, ground-shaking attack where the boss slams its fists onto the ground, sending out shockwaves that deal 200 damage and stun for 1.5 seconds in a 5-meter radius.
Rotting Charge (B Rank): The boss charges forward at high speed, knocking enemies back and inflicting Corruption for 5 seconds. Deals 300 damage on impact.
Dark Breath (C Rank): The boss breathes out dark, poisonous mist in a cone-shaped area in front of it, inflicting 250 poison damage over 5 seconds to any enemies caught in the blast.
Blight-Touched Titan begins the fight with its Corruption Aura active. It lumbers slowly forward, swinging its massive fists with the intent to crush the Void God.
Blight Slam (A Rank) is used often to disrupt the Void God's movements. The Corruption Aura continuously drains health as the Void God gets close.
The Void God must move quickly and avoid direct contact to minimize damage from the aura and slam.
---
Void God's Strategy:
1. Presence of the Abyss (S Rank): The Void God uses his aura to slow the boss's movements, making it easier to dodge its attacks and land precise strikes.
2. Void Step (S Rank): The Void God teleports behind the boss to avoid the slam attack and land an early strike with Sword Entropy (A Rank).
---
Enemy Response: The Blight-Touched Titan becomes more aggressive, trying to corner the Void God with its Blight Slam. As it gets damaged, its Corruption Aura strengthens, causing more damage over time.
---
Phase 2 (60% - 30% HP):
The Blight-Touched Titan grows angrier as its health depletes, increasing its aggression and attack speed.
Rotting Charge (B Rank) is used more frequently as the boss charges at the Void God, forcing the Void God to dodge or block.
Dark Breath (C Rank) is added to its rotation, filling the area in front of the boss with poisonous gas. This forces the Void God to avoid its front and maintain distance.
The Corruption Aura increases in intensity, causing up to 150 damage per second if the Void God stays in range too long.
---
Abyssal Insight (SS Rank): The Void God predicts the Rotting Charge and avoids it by teleporting behind the boss to get close for a heavy attack.
Abyssal Sword Skill: Void Rend (B Rank): At this point, the Void God delivers a precise strike, cutting deeply into the Titan's corrupted body. The sword's power begins to rot the boss from the inside, dealing additional decay damage over time.
---
The Blight-Touched Titan starts becoming erratic. With its Rotting Charge, it begins to charge recklessly toward the Void God. The Dark Breath becomes harder to dodge as the boss anticipates the Void God's movements.
The Blight-Touched Titan enters its final, desperate state. It begins spamming Blight Slam and Rotting Charge more rapidly. Its Corruption Aura now deals 200 damage per second.
Blight Slam (A Rank) occurs at a rapid pace, trying to catch the Void God off-guard.
Rotting Charge (B Rank) is used frequently to knock the Void God back, while Dark Breath (C Rank) is released with every other attack.
---
Voidborn Will (SS Rank): The Void God's unshakable will resists the pressure of the attacks and minimizes the effects of Corruption Aura. The Void God pushes forward despite the pain.
Sword Entropy (A Rank): The Void God's blade rips through the Blight-Touched Titan one last time. As he lands the final strike, decay accelerates inside the Titan's form, causing it to fall apart.
---
The Blight-Touched Titan becomes sluggish and disoriented, struggling to maintain its form. The rapid decay causes it to crumble from within, and it lets out one last roar of defiance before collapsing.
---
Blight-Touched Titan HP: 0 → Destroyed
Corruption Aura: Dispelled
---
With the Blight-Touched Titan destroyed, the surrounding area clears of corruption. The Void God stands victorious, the air still and silent.

I am already at Emberpine Woods, I will and see if I can uncover something,
"People from surrounding villages have been vanishing for weeks. The villagers report eerie sounds, flickering lights in the woods, and a creeping sense of dread. The local authorities have been unable to do anything, and rumors suggest something far darker is at play — whispers of an ancient force reawakening." And I have take upon myself to investigate
The Investigation:
Void God arrives at the Emberpine Woods, a vast, dark forest known for its towering pine trees and dense fog. At first glance, it appears calm, but the atmosphere is thick with unease. Using his Abyssal Insight (SS Rank), Void God begins to sense irregularities in the space itself. He's able to detect strange fluctuations in the mana around the woods, leading him to believe that the disappearances are not random but connected to a dark force.
Void God stumbles upon the remains of a campsite, recently abandoned. Some footprints lead deeper into the woods, disappearing at a certain point as if the ground itself swallowed the tracks. He can sense corruption lingering in the air, which matches the same presence that plagued the Blight-Touched Titan.
Further into the woods, Void God discovers an ancient, hidden shrine, overgrown with vines. The air is thick with a strange energy, as if the very fabric of reality bends around the shrine. At the heart of the shrine lies a dark ritual circle, carved into the stone floor. The corrupted essence emanating from the circle feels familiar — the same energy Void God encountered during his battles with the corrupted monsters.
It's here that he uncovers a journal, belonging to a long-forgotten cult of shadow worshippers who once dwelled in the woods. The cult had tried to summon a shadow deity but inadvertently unleashed a plague that began corrupting the forest and its creatures.
As Void God investigates further, the shadowy presence becomes undeniable. Suddenly, the Shadow Wraith, a powerful manifestation of the cult's failed summoning, reveals itself. It's a creature of pure darkness, feeding on fear and the lives of those who wander into its domain. The wraith reveals that it had been slowly gathering strength, absorbing the souls of the missing villagers to regain full power.
Void God, with his ability to manipulate Void energy, prepares for the showdown. The wraith is immune to regular physical attacks, so Void God uses his Void Piercer (A Rank) and Abyssal Strike (A Rank) to destabilize the wraith's essence, breaking its defenses and forcing it into the material realm where it can be destroyed.
---
Loot:
Shadow Wraith's Heart (Legendary): Can be used to craft shadow-based weapons or armor, offering protection against darkness and corruption.
Wraith Essence (Epic): Consumes to gain temporary invisibility or uses in stealth-based abilities.
Cursed Artifact (Rare): A piece of the ritual circle, with latent shadow magic that can be infused into a weapon.
Reputation:
Briarstead County: +500 (Grateful for Void God's actions, neutral to friendly reputation boost)
Corrupted Factions: +100 (The wraith's defeat weakens their influence, causing a slight shift in the power dynamic).
