VOIDBLADE: THE LAST SWORD OF THE END

Chapter 46: Chapter 47: The first strike 2

The night over Briarstead County was heavy with the scent of rain and the promise of blood. A storm brewed on the horizon — not of wind and water, but of violence and annihilation. And at its center stood two figures who would change everything.

Void God moved like a shadow through the war-torn outskirts, his steps silent on broken stone. The whispers of the Void coiled around him, unseen but felt, a weight pressing against the very air. Beside him, Jin — the Ghost Father — crackled with barely restrained power. Lightning danced along his fingertips, his new gear amplifying his magic until the air itself vibrated with his presence.

They had planned this well.

"The spies first," Void God said softly. His voice was calm — too calm. It was the stillness before destruction. "We can't let them warn the lords."

Jin nodded, his eyes gleaming with anticipation. "You find them — I'll handle the rest."

The first target was a warehouse on the outskirts of Greyhollow, one of the rival lords' strongholds. Void God's Abyssal Insight flared to life as they approached — and the world shifted. The walls bled whispers of movement, the air rippled with the breath of hidden enemies.

"There," he said, pointing without hesitation.

Jin didn't wait.

Tempest Cloak.

He blurred into motion, lightning trailing his steps. The guards barely had time to draw their weapons before the storm descended. The Arcstorm fell like judgment — blinding flashes, deafening thunder. When the light faded, nothing remained but scorched earth and silence.

Inside the warehouse, the air shifted — and the true fight began.

The first assassin lunged from the shadows, his daggers gleaming — but Void God was faster.

Void Step.

He reappeared behind the man, his sword cutting once. The assassin's body dissolved into nothingness before it hit the ground.

Two more came — but they never reached him.

Void Piercer.

The thrust distorted the air — and when it struck, both enemies crumbled, their forms unraveling as the Void consumed them.

Jin's laughter echoed from deeper inside. "Is that all they've got?"

But Void God knew better.

The real fight was still coming.

And when it did, the lords of Briarstead wouldn't know what hit them.
