Villain's Valor: A Noble Fantasy Resurrection

Chapter 274 Survive

Anthony watched with curiosity as the cracks in the young man's body closed, the faint glow in them disappearing slowly. "Not a drop of blood," Anthony reflected. "It's like there's no flesh beneath that skin. It's quite interesting." With a smile, he sat down next to him, waiting until the young man fully recovered. After a few minutes, Anthony also closed his eyes. "Matías's aspect is quite unique.

Mirror body, basically. It allows him to turn his body into crystal. But the cracks in his body are evidence that he can't fully control it. A double-edged sword. In places with enough reflections, he's almost unstoppable."

"My name is Matías, nice to meet you," Matías said wearily. His body was full of vitality, but his mind was exhausted. Anthony listened in silence. "Do you want power?" he asked, looking at the girl still lying on the ground. He snapped his fingers, and his body was engulfed in dark flames.

Anthony decided to get straight to the point; after all, that was why he came. The fight a few moments ago was etched in his mind. He couldn't save the girl, and his own aspect was killing him from the inside. So it was better to get straight to the point. Matías's body trembled a bit, his eyes widening slightly. "Your aspect is your worst enemy," Anthony continued.

"If you continue like this, you won't achieve your revenge. You'll die on the way." Matías opened his eyes wide. His greatest weakness was supposed to be known only to himself, and now this random young man was leaving him incredulous.

But he was still curious about what he had to say. Just remembering that he couldn't save the girl made his sensitive mind chaos-ridden. What the white-haired youth said was true. He remembered the first time he activated his aspect; he almost broke into pieces. The pressure was too much for his current self. He thought that if he became much stronger, this problem would go away.

But it was a sweet lie he told himself. As he grew stronger, his aspect grew with him, increasing the danger of shattering like a mirror. He felt that something was missing, something that was vital to controlling his aspect, but he didn't know what it was. This only increased the pressure on him over the years. He wanted his revenge; he wanted to kill that whole cult.

But his own power was preventing him from doing so. Enjoy exclusive adventures from My Virtual Library Empire

A glimmer of hope shone in Matías's eyes. Anthony looked at him in silence. He had investigated him before. Matías was a commoner, blaming himself for the death of his parents. He saw them die. That day, a bitter feeling blossomed in his heart.

He trained until the cracks in his body showed. He was desperate. If he continued like this, he would die on the way. This was almost a sin for someone consumed by revenge.

Matías clenched his fists and looked determinedly at the young man. "What's your name?" Matías wanted to make sure he wasn't being lied to and deceived by a false promise. The boy smiled. "My name is Anthony Von Valeriano," Matías's eyes widened. Just as he was about to say something, Anthony interrupted, "So, do you want power or not?" Matías looked at himself.

In his mind, he imagined the same situation with the girl, but in her place would be Rose. His heart trembled; he couldn't accept that. "Alright, what do I have to do?" he said with determination.

Anthony remembered the artifact from Zone 8, "Broken Mirror." Mainly, this mirror wasn't broken; it was a completely normal mirror at first glance. The one who found this mirror was my father, Noah, on one of his expeditions to Zone 8. According to his report, he found it in a place where the reflections were so potent that they could disintegrate the body of a mythical-ranked person.

The mirror was at the bottom of a beautiful lake. My father felt that this mirror was not normal, so he carefully brought it back with him.

Different experiments were conducted with it, with the cultists they had trapped. The first thing they found out was that touching the crystal was deadly; it absorbed their soul, and their body crystallized instantly. The second thing they noticed was that the reflection was equally powerful, causing disintegration on the spot.

The mirror was oval-shaped, and at its ends, the decorations were made of a new metal unknown to the empire. But one day, the mirror broke. Its smooth surface shattered, and cracks appeared on it. It was the same day as the death of Matías's parents. They didn't know exactly what happened, but one thing was clear: the mirror represented the emotions of its owner.

Since that day, the mirror remained broken.

Anthony looked at him. "Survive until the middle of the second year," he said with a smile. Anthony's figure turned black and disappeared. Matías remained still in shock. Anthony's words could only be interpreted one way: he wouldn't make it alive. He stood still for a few moments and looked up at the sky; he felt extremely tired.

Closing his eyes, he let his mind calm down.

The reason he said to survive until the middle of the second event was very simple. Just that day, the empire would be besieged by creatures, and likewise, the empire. That was the day when humanity would know the terrible power of the seven deadly sins. That day, billions would die, and the lively streets of the empire would be stained red.

Even the students of the academy would be affected, as well as the deaths of the four chosen and the death of Professor Athena. Anthony's eyes were extremely serious. Whatever happened, he wouldn't let any of the five die. But the worst wasn't there. The problem was that on that day, he himself had the possibility of dying. It would definitely be a dangerous day for everyone.

But he would do everything in his power to prevent it. After all, he had grown fond of this wonderful world. The shadows around him thickened as he disappeared into the depths of the forest.
