I was puzzled to why he looked surprised maybe a person cannot really tell the emotions of a creature with only a mouth. I admitted that I was wrong and did not ask any further.

"Last question before I go."

"Go on."

"Will I get by in time to warn the people who are outside the village."

" Do not worry. Everything here happens at the speed of a thought, We have not been in here for more than a minute if we compare it to your world's time."

It had been more than an hour since I got there. I had heard that there was a dimension which had a reversible time. If it was the same for that one maybe by chance I could have arrived a few minutes before the invasion. That was what I had in mind when I was asking the question.

I woke up in the late afternoon inside a cave which was somewhere in the forest. My body was moving like a rusty old metal joint which hasn't taste grease in a while. It was showing signs that I had been sleeping for a while.

"How did I get here."

"Did he lie to me about getting here in time, what else did he lie about maybe I don't even have an ability." I mumbled to myself

However, as I became more settled and relaxed I noticed the changes in my body. My brown skin was gone and it had became white as a cloud. This was not the real skin, it was a cloth like thing that was sent to me to be my new skin. I did not understand how that worked, I expected to be skinless only person after doing the deal but only the outer skin that was the sense of touch was gone. Inside the body I felt something very light moving together with my blood throughout the body and I also felt the weight of carrying something equivalent to the weight of two nails.

The cave was made out of a blue coloured shining rock, with stalactites hanging from the ceiling of the cave. It was so warm and cozy and interesting to look at. Their was left over burnt wood, it hadn't passed that much time since the fire was on.

I stood up getting out of the cave to get to the outside where I could test was my ability was. He told me that I was going to be an UMBRAMANCER with one of his nine abilities. He did not have the power to chose which ability I could get. After the chants he said I had an ability which allowed me to blend with the shadows. Only two Umbramancer abilities were of such kind [ Shadow Cloaking ] and [ Shadow Teleportation ]. [ Shadow Cloaking ] allowed the caster to become a shadow while [ Shadow Teleportation ] just as it sounds was a shadow spatial ability.

Both of them would be tested in the same way only that the former could just hold a person at the same position and the later was going to teleport a person. The sensations in my body felt different as I walked towards the a shadow which was large enough for me to fit, whatever was inside me was being attracted towards it hence faintly pulling body.

I stepped with only my right leg only, I had to be careful not to put my whole body first, if it was going to be the latter ability who knew where I would have ended up. The leg was kept going on until I felt like I had stepped on a tree. I stumbled four times and I cold feel the tree vibrating. If it had been [ Shadow Cloaking ] their would be no vibration coming from the thing I was stumping on plus I was hearing a tree shaking on my left side as I was stumping. I looked in the direction of the rustling sound where I saw my leg coming down a shadow which was in the tree. I removed my my leg and retried, this time it was coming from the ground hanging like a plant. The results were unsatisfying and I redid up to twenty more times to get the satisfying results. I had managed to make the upper part come from the ground and my lower body come from the shadows above.

I kneeled down and put my head into the shadow. I could see perpendicular to the bottom of the trees. It was super weird to see my own body without it head. Controlling how I came out gave me the courage to dive with my whole body. After diving I came out from the ground but into a very different location, somehow I had end up in a super duper weird intricate room. It was so small as the size of my bed plus a few centimeters. Of coarse you don't know the size of my bed, it was a two meters by a half meter room. It's walls was made up of what seemed like rubber and had two magically made lights in the opposite sides of the length. There was a tool box which had tools that had a bit of a different design from the tools I was used to.

I had explored every bit of the forest before and that room was not a part of. It could have made sense if the room was somewhere outside the forest but withe the level I was at, teleporting that far was impossible. After surpassing the Bariath one became a MASTER and the range was between ten to seventeen. That is the best I could teleport was seventeen meters. It was so far even for the TITANS to make it since their maximum range was 100 meters. What made sense was to conclude that the room was underground the forest with no idea who constructed it and why.

The room did not have any doors, what was more confusing was that the room did not cast a shadow large enough for me to have entered there. I questioned how did I end up there?
