Vampire's Bride: Forbidden love

Chapter 2: Chapter 1: A New Student

Vampire's Bride: Forbidden love.

The sleek black sedan glided to a stop in front of Silvermist Academy, its tinted windows reflecting the morning sun like a mirror. The student body couldn't help but stare, whispers spreading like wildfire.

"Who's that?"

"Transfer student?"

"Looks like a celebrity!"

Sophomore Jessica Thompson, a self-proclaimed social media influencer, hastily snapped photos. "OMG, I need to get his name!" she squealed.

Xavier Valois stepped out of the sedan, his piercing blue gaze scanning the surroundings. His raven-black hair was perfectly styled, and his tailored black pants accentuated his lean physique. The crowd parted, mesmerized.

"Capturing my likeness won't reveal my secrets," Xavier said, his voice low, smooth, and mysterious, as he locked eyes with Jessica.

Aria, a junior at Silvermist Academy, navigated the crowded hallways, lost in thought. Her best friend, Emily, caught up with her.

"Hey, have you heard about the new guy?" Emily asked, nodding toward the entrance.

Aria raised an eyebrow. "Which new guy?"

Emily's eyes sparkled. "Xavier Valois. Rumors say he's from a crazy-rich family."

Aria's curiosity piqued, she glanced over her shoulder. Xavier's gaze met hers, and for a fleeting moment, they connected.

In their shared English Literature class, Aria observed Xavier from afar. He participated in discussions, showcasing his intellect and commanding attention.

As class ended, Aria gathered her belongings, her fingers brushing against Xavier's as they reached for the same book.

"Oh, sorry!" Aria exclaimed, her cheeks flushing.

Xavier's eyes locked onto hers, his gaze intense. "No harm done," he said, his voice low and soothing.

Their hands touched, sending a shiver down Aria's spine.

As the school day drew to a close, Aria couldn't shake off the feeling that Xavier was watching her. She glanced around, but he was nowhere to be seen.

The sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the academy's grounds. Aria packed her books, her heart whispering: "Who is this guy? What does he want?"

Xavier's gaze found hers across the room, their eyes locking in a silent understanding.

And then, he vanished into the crowd.

Aria's phone buzzed, breaking the spell. She glanced at the screen, her heart racing as she read the mysterious text:

"Welcome to Silvermist Academy, Aria. You're now a part of our world. Be careful, for secrets can be deadly."

Aria's eyes scanned the room, searching for the sender. But everyone seemed oblivious, lost in their own worlds.

The message lingered, a haunting whisper in her mind.

As Aria walked out of the school building, she felt an eerie presence watching her. She quickened her pace, her heart pounding in her chest.

Suddenly, a figure emerged from the shadows. It was Xavier.

"Hey," he said, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "I was wondering if you'd like to grab lunch with me."

Aria's heart skipped a beat. Was Xavier asking her out?

But before she could respond, a group of girls swooped in, surrounding Xavier and vying for his attention.

Aria felt a pang of disappointment, but she refused to let it get her down. She smiled, waving at Xavier as she walked away.

"I'll catch you later," she said, her voice light and carefree.

Xavier's eyes locked onto hers, a spark of connection flashing between them.

"I'm counting on it," he said, his voice low and smooth.

As Aria walked away, she felt a sense of excitement. She had no idea what lay ahead, but she was ready for whatever came next.

But as she turned the corner, Aria stumbled upon a shocking sight. A group of students were gathered around a locker, their faces pale and frightened.

Aria's heart skipped a beat as she pushed her way to the front of the crowd. What she saw made her blood run cold.

Scrawled across the locker in bold, red letters was a message:

"Aria, you're next."

Aria's eyes scanned the crowd, searching for the person who had written the message. But everyone seemed just as shocked and frightened as she was.

Suddenly, a hand touched her shoulder, making her jump. Aria spun around, her heart racing, and found herself face to face with Xavier.

"What's going on?" he asked, his eyes locked onto the message.

Aria shook her head, feeling a sense of fear creeping in. "I don't know," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Xavier's eyes narrowed, his jaw clenched in anger. "I'll take care of this," he said, his voice low and menacing.

But as Xavier turned to leave, Aria caught his arm. "Wait," she said, her voice urgent. "What do you mean?"

Xavier's eyes locked onto hers, a spark of connection flashing between them.

"I mean that I'll protect you," he said, his voice low and smooth. "No matter what it takes."

Aria's heart skipped a beat as she looked into Xavier's eyes. She saw something there, something that made her feel safe and protected.

But as she looked deeper, Aria saw something else, something that made her feel a sense of unease.

A darkness, a secret that Xavier was hiding.

And Aria was determined to uncover it.

As the crowd began to disperse, Aria felt a sense of unease. Who could have written that message? And what did they want from her?

Xavier's hand was still on her arm, his touch sending shivers down her spine.

"Let's get out of here," he said, his voice low and smooth. "I'll take you to lunch."

Aria hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to do. But as she looked into Xavier's eyes, she felt a sense of trust.

"Okay," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

As they walked out of the school building, Aria felt a sense of excitement. She had no idea what lay ahead, but she was ready for whatever came next.

But as they walked across the parking lot, Aria noticed something strange. A black SUV was following them, its tinted windows reflecting the sun like a mirror.

Aria's heart skipped a beat as she felt a sense of fear creeping in.

"Xavier," she said, her voice urgent. "I think we're being followed."

Xavier's eyes narrowed, his jaw clenched in anger.

"Don't worry," he said, his voice low and smooth. "I've got this."

But as they approached the SUV, Aria felt a sense of unease. Who was following them? And what did they want?

The SUV screeched to a halt, its doors opening with a loud creak.

Aria's heart was racing as she waited to see what would happen next.

And then, a figure emerged from the shadows.

A figure that Aria knew all too well.

"Aria," the figure said, its voice low and menacing. "We've been waiting for you."

Aria's heart skipped a beat as she realized who was standing in front of her.

It was her brother, Ethan.

But something was off. Ethan's eyes seemed darker, his smile twisted and sinister.

Aria felt a sense of fear creeping in as she realized that something was very wrong.

And then, everything went black.

To be continued...
