Vampire Summoner's Rebirth: Summoning The Vampire Queen At The Start

Chapter 1428: Student Battle Tests

Patricia and Erdrich didn't waste any time, quickly walking away to the cafeteria to talk to just the two of us. I didn't really get upset about that, I knew Erdrich was aiming for her now, he most likely had already made up his mind about the entire situation, and didn't want to let go of this opportunity.

After all, even though we've achieved great things, Patricia is probably the only one, aside from us, that has shown genuine interest without discriminating against him for being a half-demon and doesn't even seem to care about that either.

She also seems to be his type, the reason why he never fell for other girls, especially Elizabeth whom he spends so much time with… it's because Erdrich has different tastes altogether, he likes big, strong-looking women, preferably with muscles.

So Patricia is just the ideal woman for him, I can tell why he has suddenly become more assertive with her.

"Well, there they go. I thought it would be something like that, yeah… Patricia wouldn't stop talking about Erdrich and wondering how he was doing… Sometimes, she would go to the director and ask him for any updates on your crusade over the Elven Continent," Ashen said with a gloomy smile, he was a short boy with gray hair and eyes, from what I remember, he was rather talkative and childish, and strangely murderous once he began to fight. However, he has become less childish and friendlier.

"Is that so…" I wondered. "Well, let's leave them on their own. I bet they're going to make up for the lost time pretty quickly."

"I was wondering where Elfriedden is, Blake… Is he alright?" Arthuria asked. A blonde girl with green eyes and a tall, beautiful body. From what I recall, she's a masterful swordswoman that merges her swordsmanship with magic. She's been mostly a lightly innocent knight-type girl, with a strong chivalrous heart.

"Yes he's fine," I nodded. "He's now the… elect King of the Elven Kingdom, so he couldn't come with us as he would be busy back home working on many things. However, I have a way to bring him here through a special magic item. So he will occasionally attend classes."

"He's a King now?" Arthuria and the rest of the students were shaken by this news.

"Well yes, a lot happened… I suppose we could talk about that until the night arrives and it's time for the festival," I said. "Sit tight, it's a long story."

"Hmm, I hope you don't mind me hearing some of that, I've also been rather curious about what could have happened there, as it is my home and all… I am rather grateful for what you've done for my people, student, thank you, sincerely," the gloomy Professor Umbra, who was in charge of Clarice's group, a black-haired elf with a gloomy expression, thanked me for my efforts.

"Ah, don't worry, I don't mind more people hearing, these news will spread in detail through the world soon enough either way," I shrugged.

Like that, we spent the majority of the day catching up and talking about what had happened with everyone. At some point I returned back to my room in the Academy and quickly opened the portal, where Elfriedden stepped through, he had just been relieved of his duties as a King and was able to come join us. With his arrival, he got bombarded with greetings and questions.

After that, the night quickly arrived, and Eleanora emerged amidst my shadows while I walked through the academy's corridors alone.

"It is as you feared, they are here."

"I see, do you think they want to go for it or?"

"They might be here just to spy on us for now. I don't know if they ever have planned an attack, but you're never too sure either way."

"Hm, that's right… Everyone else already knows what might happen, so let's wait and see…"

"But what about your spar with that hero?"

"It'll go as planned, don't worry. Let's simply pretend there's nothing wrong, and that everything is fine… for now."

"…Very well then."

As Eleanora quickly disappeared into my shadows once more, acting sneaky, Erika and the rest ran to my side, seeing that I was already on my way to the arena.

We took a small train there, and we arrived in just a couple of minutes, the arena was full of students and also of other citizens, even soldiers that had come here to relax from the battlefield.

There were several shops and food stalls, where people purchased all kinds of things, especially food, we walked towards an empty area, where the teachers were waiting for us, sitting there with plenty of food we picked up on the way.

"Hmm! These popcorns are really good and got lots of caramel!" Erika was devouring a huge bag of popcorn she purchased.

"I didn't expect the food to be this good," Elizabeth was eating grilled meat skewers covered on a sweet sauce. Despite what some may think of her as a Saintess, she actually liked eating a lot of meat.

"Hey Blake! Where's Eleanora and the rest of your Spirits? Shouldn't you invite them here?" Elfriedden asked. "I thought you were going to marry her, yet you seem to barely spend time with her sometimes."

"Don't worry, they're here… You just can't see them," I said with a smirk. "They're ready for anything, just in case."

"Just in case?" Elfriedden was confused, but I ignored him.

I looked around at everyone chatting together, noticing Erdrich and Patricia, they were getting along pretty well, with Patricia smiling and blushing while Erdrich talked with great confidence, he was definitely going to get the girl.

The student battles started between two students we already knew, Clarice against Gray, a surprising match which allowed me to see just how strong they've become. The battle started with Clarice going into the offensive, summoning her Lion Axe and swinging it down against Gray while unleashing a Skill.

Gray reacted by growing a pair of wings and flying away just in time, managing to evade her powerful blow, which impacted the floor, generating a strong impact that shattered it.

CRAAASH!
