Chapter 1422: Family Meeting
-----
"Y-You can set a portal? Wait, like teleportation magic?!" My father asked. "Blake how did you even learned that?"
"It's part of my new abilities," I explained. "I went to one of the Tower of Trials and completed a very hard trial, gaining even more power as I became worthy of ascension."
"A-Ascension? I didn't even know that was a thing…" My father said. "But that's amazing!"
"Tower of Trials? I have never heard of such a place either…" Mother muttered. "Wow…"
"Incredible… Blake, every time you come back, you're always surprising us, hohoh," Grandmother laughed.
"Big bro is the best!" Anna nodded.
"Yeah!" Allan agreed with her.
"Well I am not the only one that helped a lot, without Erika or Elizabeth's help, the Yggdrasil Tree back in that continent wouldn't have been healed fully, and the entire continent could have lost all of its nature and life," I explained.
"A-Ah, well, we did our best…" Erika nodded.
"It was hard, Eleanora, Saphira, and the rest of the Spirits helped as well," Elizabeth said.
"Fafnir had several children, each one very powerful, but we were able to contain them and secure Yggdrasil's revival while Blake took care of Fafnir," Eleanora said.
"Wow… every time you describe these things; I just can't imagine them in my little head…" Father said. "But well, I'm glad things worked out at the end… Although every time you say these things I also get a bit scared, don't go charging reckless, you hear me son?"
"Of course, I only fight when I know there's a high chance of winning," I nodded with a confident smile. "And well, there's something else we have to tell you… Uh, I hope you accept it."
My parents glanced at me with curiosity, and so did my grandmother and my siblings.
"I'm engaged with Erika, Elizabeth, and Eleanora…" I said. "And we'll get married, likely, by the end of the year."
The entire family remained in silence for a moment, as all three of my brides-to-be became flustered, growing red and embarrassed.
"Wow, so you're marrying all three?! That's great!" Anna interrumpted the silence.
"Big brother is amazing…" Allan nodded.
"W-Well, it sure was surprising!" My father said. "This is the first time in our family that there's someone that marries more than one person but… well! We really didn't expect you to just choose one of them, they all love you after all."
"I-Indeed! It was just surprising, but I am really happy for you three, girls!" My mother said. "I suppose you're all of age by now… Oh, how the years pass! I still remember when you were all little children playing around."
"I'm glad for you three as well, you're lucky girls, Blake was able to love all three of you, and you get along quite well as well…" nodded Grandmother. "Usually only nobles get more than one bride, though they're concubines or something, right? Or mistresses… I don't remember the naming. Anyway, now that Blake will be a noble, I suppose that's just the norm?"
"We wouldn't have had it any other way, heheh," Erika giggled.
"W-Well… Um, yeah," Elizabeth was embarrassed.
"I-It's still quite… awkward to talk about it out loud," Eleanora confessed.
"Well, well, you'll get used to it eventually, hohoho!" Grandmother laughed. "Anyway, let's talk about your wedding! Where will it be? What do you plan to do? What about your dresses! We have a lot to discuss, especially with three brides at that."
"We discussed about it and planned a classic wedding by the Holy Spirit Church, there'll be a Ceremony and everything," Elizabeth said. "I had gone to the church to discuss that with the priests there, and while crying out of happiness I was getting married, they agreed to helping us set up everything."
"So you're getting married here, huh? I suppose that's only fair then," nodded Father. "But then… well, should we even move to that continent? We'll be leaving behind all our friends… I mean, I'm in! But still…"
"My friend parents might also come along," I said. "I told them all that they would have vast territories for themselves and their families, becoming important Lords of my territory. I plan to convince more citizens as well, eventually, I would hope we could bring the entire village if possible."
"T-The entire village?! That's quite something…" father said. "And is that an empty land? No villages right?"
"No, the land was destroyed, and it has only recently recovered," I explained. "However, there'll be natives we'll work together with, Lizardmen and Elves will likely move in once we build a big enough village, and then perhaps a city… but that's for much later."
"It wouldn't be good if we didn't support you…" My mother sighed. "I'll go, if that's what you want, son."
"Yeah," nodded father. "I was tired of this Kingdom anyway. And well, exploring and colonizing new lands has always been one of my dreams!"
"Yes, of course, I'll go as well," Grandmother said.
"We're in!" Anna and Allan nodded at the same time.
"Alright, thanks a lot for everything," I sighed in relief. "It's not happening any time soon, likely by next year though, so you'll have plenty of time to prepare."
"Oh, I can't believe we're really moving to our own land, to our own house! Hehehe!" Erika giggled happily.
"You're really happy…" Her mother smiled. "I'm glad you could find someone that loves you as much as Blake, my dear… Although, um, are you really okay with being only one of three?" She whispered to her pointy ears.
"Mom Elizabeth and Eleanora aren't strangers, you know?! They're my best friends and like sisters to me! I wouldn't like it if they weren't by my side and happy… if they were sad because Blake only choose me, I would hate it!" Erika said, pouting.
"A-Ah, of course… of course," nodded Cattalina, she accepted everything but still didn't like that I took three wives that much. It's only natural I suppose, it's not something commonly done.
