Vampire Revenge: Blood, Sex & Violence

Chapter 34: 34

The situation was complicated, although the seal had worked Pablo was now a simple human, he did not have the iron will of a vampire, if he took too long to come to the girl's aid it was possible that he would not be able to resist the influence of that offspring for long.

The easiest thing would have been to take the fight outside the bathroom, but then the security guards would intervene, and even the rest of the slaves or the other two vampires. There were few options left and there was no time to reason with the corrupt minds of those guys who blindly obeyed the master.

Pablo's hands moved faster than the others expected, they were not used to encountering resistance nor did they have great training or a remarkable physique. Grabbing the "lucky" guy by the shoulder and his left wrist, and with a sharp turn of his body the guy flew against the back of the bathroom, he did not hit the urinals but it was close.

The other problem Pablo had was that he couldn't kill those guys there, in the nightclub, they would recognize him and put him in jail, that was obvious, he had to play his cards right. The second of the slave thugs was already charging towards him, his punch was so obvious, open and predictable that when Pablo took advantage of his inertia to keep turning, face him again and hit him with his elbow in the temple, the boy fell down with his arm still extended.

The third tried to turn around to flee to warn his master, but the hands of the pseudo vampire had grabbed him by the clothes and tripped him and threw him to the bathroom floor as well. The stomp on his sternum was strong enough to knock his breath out of his chest but not to kill him or cause serious injuries.

Pablo stormed out of the bathroom, while this was happening on the dance floor it was clear that the conflict had started, Julen was on the floor holding his stomach while Marcel was unconscious. The vampire had Gisela by the wrists while she resisted and her friends were separated from her by the rest of the corrupted slaves.

"I told you to come, don't resist bitch!"

"Fuck off! Who the fuck do you think you are? I told you I'm not interested in you, bastard!"

The vampire was clearly frustrated that his mark had failed and that a prey was resisting so much. Never in his twenty years of non-life had he encountered anything like this, a human who resisted his powers. He couldn't kill her or make the situation worse, he had already beaten the other two boys for intervening in the capture, he was drawing too much attention.

At that moment the big guy who must have been busy in the bathroom appeared, grabbing him by the wrist and freeing Gisela's hand. The vampire was much stronger than that boy with muscles, but on the boy's hand there were many silver rings that were biting into his skin.

"Let her go now if you don't want trouble"

"Who the fuck are you to give me orders?"

The vampire's cold gaze tried to impose a halo of fear around him and especially on that new boy, but he only looked him in the eyes and smiled.

"Don't you know that no means no or are you just stupid?"

The provocation was clear, the vampire could not let the fact go so as not to lose all his authority, but he could not let loose in public either. He was about to throw his fist to knock down that impertinent brat too when the security guards appeared.

"Everyone stay still, you the new one, I want you out of here right now, and the rest who accompany him also to the fucking street"

Pablo took the opportunity to grab Gisela who, as the pressure of the seal loosened against the vampire's will, felt on the verge of fainting. Julen and Pablo also picked up Marcel, Ariadna and Ceci accompanied them while they did not stop insulting everyone.

Gisela seemed about to fall over. Pablo turned to Julen, Marcel who were regaining consciousness and the other two girls.

"You girls take Gisela to your house, it seems that she is not feeling well, Julen take Marcel"

"Aren't we going to file a complaint? What are you going to do?"

"Relax, I'll go home."

Julen knew that for some reason Pablo was lying to him, but they had just been beaten and the situation with those creepy guys had gotten out of control, his fear and his not wanting to get mixed up with them were stronger than his sense of honor and not leaving the boy alone.

They all got into the first taxis they saw and left Pablo on the sidewalk, but he didn't take any taxi, he started walking down the street as if nothing had happened. He knew that those three wouldn't leave it there, it wasn't like a predator to let himself be humiliated. Also, the fact that the girl resisted the charms of a vampire was strange.

Just as he could track them by their scent, he could also be located, the fact of walking was not to flee, but to look for a good place, out of the attention that could be there if they started a fight of that type in the city.

With his long strides and with the vampires unable to use their powers, Pablo kept a distance of three blocks from them. At one point, when they saw that the boy was not stopping and that he seemed to be walking aimlessly, they began to run after him.

At that moment, Pablo began to sprint as fast as his legs would allow; he was not staggering; he knew exactly where he was going. The pavilions of the Fira de Barcelona began to become only fleeting images; as he ran, he could hear the footsteps and runs of his pursuers. Some security guard looked out, but what he saw was only a group of goths running and fooling around.

Jumping up the steps two at a time, Pablo began to climb the stairs that led to Montjuic. When he was halfway up, seeing that the small wooded areas had already opened up on the slope, he entered one of them. There were no cameras there, but he didn't just sit there waiting. He broke one of the branches of a nearby tree and split it into three pieces with his knee.

There was some truth to the myths that said that to kill a vampire you had to drive a stake through its heart. Physically, it was useless to pierce a dead heart that didn't beat. Well, it didn't beat like it did with the living. Vampires used their immense body and muscle control to pump blood, the whole body was transformed into a large heart that was much more powerful in reality. But what did happen if a vampire was pierced in the heart was that they lost some of their magical powers, especially those of dematerialization and many others associated with it.

Pablo put one of the improvised stakes behind his back, held by his pants, and threw the other two on the ground before the mob arrived. Vampires weren't idiots, they wouldn't easily stain their hands with blood if they had slaves who could do their dirty work for them, but this case was a personal matter, a matter of the predator who had been insulted by the food.

The minions stayed along the stairs, watching that no one intervened to help the boy, and also in case the guy tried to escape to dissuade him. It was a trap, the rat had gotten himself into trouble by going there.

"Even I wouldn't have chosen such a good place, don't you think Karen?"

The vampire stayed behind, it was clear that she was the superior of the other two although they didn't exactly share the same lineage, they weren't her offspring, just younger brothers and from another master.

"Finish him off and let's go home, don't waste our whole night."

"As you wish."

Pablo hadn't spoken, his left hand was held back, his legs slightly open, his right fist clenched in a strange way. It looked like a strange and pompous Kung Fu stance. The vampire launched himself at full speed, almost disappearing in the blink of an eye.

But in the eyes of the ancient vampire trapped in a human body in front of them, these guys could barely be called vampires. How had they tolerated the lineage to dilute so much, how had they allowed weak offspring to breed offspring that would be even weaker? Even so, the vampire's speed was four or five times that of a human and he closed the twenty meters of distance in a breath, Pablo only had time to move his forward leg back, gaining a meter of margin.

The vampire woman and the other companions watched the scene amused, however something strange was happening, their companion had stopped dead, and they could see a silver glow crossing the air.

In that second that it took the vampire to cover the distance, Pablo had not retreated, he had set his trap. Superior speed was not always an advantage if one did not have the experience or skill to stop or correct course. What the vampire found was a rough wooden stake that pierced his heart before he could stop. The silver knife cut his throat.

Neither of the two wounds would have been enough to stop a vampire of his time. The first would only take away part of his innate abilities. The cut in the throat was not intended to bleed him out, as in a human, but to cut his vocal cords so that he could not recite a spell or use external magic.

In his time, a real vampire would have beaten the human with his superior strength until he killed him, plain and simple. Then he would pull out the stake, and in time he would cut the edges of the infected silver wound so that they would regenerate in his next meal.

But for this neophyte it was the worst damage he had ever received since he transformed, he was left in shock, wounded and not knowing how to react. The next kick to Pablo's chest drove the stake into the Vampire's body until it stuck out from his back.

The other two were horrified but furious, the man immediately jumped on top of Pablo who had already launched himself rolling down the slope. Why hadn't they dematerialized and reappeared instead of using the same absurd tactic as their companion? The woman advanced with more caution but with her gaze determined to kill that boy and devour him.
