Chapter 48: Chapter 48 : Pluto & Leo discussion
August 20,
In the dimly lit study of the William House, Leo leaned back From his work , the morning light filtering through the curtains. The polished mahogany desk in front of him was cluttered with papers and a half-empty cup of coffee.
Across from him, Pluto Flux stood, his presence unnervingly quiet.
Despite his outwardly calm demeanor, the vampire's sharp crimson eyes glinted with urgency as he began recounting his findings.
"I've been keeping a close watch on George and his father," Pluto started, his voice smooth yet cold.
"But something doesn't add up. Last night, I made a sweep of Mr. Everett's office. It seems someone was there recently—without his knowledge or consent."
Leo raised an eyebrow. "And? What did you find?"
Pluto reached into his pocket and pulled out a small plastic bag, tossing it onto the desk.
Inside were several strands of coarse, silvery-gray hair.
Leo frowned, picking up the bag and examining its contents.
"Wolf hair?"
Pluto nodded, crossing his arms.
"Exactly. That's not the only thing, though. When I searched the room further, I noticed faint claw marks on the wooden floor near the bookshelf. Whoever—or whatever—was there didn't bother to hide their traces completely."
Leo's expression darkened.
"You're telling me werewolves have been snooping around? That's bold, even for them. But why? What could they possibly want from Everett?"
"That's the question I've been asking myself," Pluto replied.
He began pacing the room, his movements fluid and deliberate.
"From George's demeanor, you'd think nothing Happened . The boy acts like everything is fine. But I know better. I've observed him closely, and there's something... off about him. It's almost as if he's hiding something. And Everett, his father—he's gone quiet, too quiet. If you ask me, the man's either been threatened or worse."
Leo sighed heavily, setting the bag of wolf hair back on the desk.
"So you're saying this family is somehow tangled up with werewolves? That's a dangerous accusation, Pluto."
Pluto smirked faintly, revealing a hint of his sharp fangs.
"I don't make accusations without proof. And the proof is right in front of you." He pointed to the bag.
"The question isn't whether they're involved—it's how deeply. And why."
Leo leaned forward, resting his elbows on the desk and interlacing his fingers.
"What else did you find?"
"I've been keeping tabs on George's father. I believe he might have been kidnapped, but it's hard to confirm. The man's absence is too sudden, and there's no logical explanation for it. Meanwhile, George himself shows no signs of concern. It's almost... unnatural. Like he knows something but refuses to let it show."
Leo frowned. "And you're certain about this?"
"Positive," Pluto said.
"But that's not all. During my investigation, I came across something unusual in George's father's office—an odd energy. I can't explain it, but it felt... powerful. Ancient, even. It's not something a mere human would possess."
Leo's gaze sharpened.
"Ancient energy, wolf hair, and claw marks. You're painting a picture of a family deeply entangled with forces beyond their control. But if that's the case, why haven't they sought help—or at least protection or Does *****?"
Pluto shrugged, his expression unreadable.
"Perhaps they think they can handle it on their own. Or perhaps they're too afraid to involve anyone else."
Leo tapped his fingers on the desk, deep in thought.
"This changes everything. If the wolves are involved, it means this isn't just a family feud. It's something far bigger. And if we don't act fast, we could all be caught in the crossfire."
Pluto nodded.
"Exactly. Which is why I'm recommending we keep a closer watch on George and his father. Whatever they're hiding, it's only a matter of time before it comes to light. And when it does, we need to be ready."
Leo leaned back in his chair, his expression grim.
"Agreed. But we can't afford to be reckless. If the wolves catch wind of us meddling, it could spark an all-out war. And the last thing we need is another conflict on our hands."
"Understood," Pluto said.
"I'll continue monitoring them from the shadows. My speed and ability to fly give me an advantage—normal cameras and security systems can't detect me. I'll keep digging until I uncover the truth."
Leo nodded, a hint of admiration in his eyes.
"Good. And be careful, Pluto. The wolves are dangerous, but so are the secrets they're guarding. If you're not careful, you could end up their next target."
Pluto smirked faintly.
"Let them try. I've faced worse."
---
As the two men continued discussing their strategy, the weight of the situation began to settle over them.
The William House had always been a place of power and influence, but now it was becoming clear that even they were not immune to the dangers lurking in the shadows.
For Leo, the thought of werewolves prowling around his home was both unsettling and infuriating.
He prided himself on maintaining control, and this intrusion was a direct challenge to his authority to help There Queen.
For Pluto, the mystery was a puzzle waiting to be solved.
As a vampire, he had spent centuries honing his skills and uncovering secrets. But this—this was something different.
The presence of ancient energy, combined with the wolves' boldness, suggested a plot far more intricate than anything he had encountered before.
Despite their differences, both men shared a common goal: to Destroy the William family and Return to there Land.
And as they prepared to face whatever challenges lay ahead, they knew that failure was not an option.
As the clock struck midnight, Pluto disappeared into the night, his figure blending seamlessly with the shadows. Leo watched him go, his jaw set with determination.
"Whatever game these wolves are playing,"
he muttered to himself,
"I think they Find out that Vampire Queen now officially intect with William Family that's why they are Targeting?"
Pluto said in his calm Voice, " Well, Maybe! "
---
"But how does George's family fit into this?" Leo pressed.
"What's the connection?"
Pluto hesitated before answering.
"I'm not entirely sure, but I've uncovered some... troubling clues. When I investigated George's father's office, I found traces of Lamas as well . It's possible that the Lamas are involved in this somehow as well, either they are enemies of Sarah. Our Queen. "
" It's No surprise that Lamas are helping Human. And the locket?" Leo said
"I don't know. Allthrough our Queen has one. And others Are maybe trying to take it form us " Pluto said.
" And again, something I said about Heart beat in George Chest right?" Pluto said
" About that, Yes?" Leo respond
"I can't get close enough to examine it, but I sense a powerful energy emanating from it. Whatever it is, it's significant Could be Locket? ."
Leo nodded, his mind piecing together the puzzle.
"So we have Queen manipulating the Josh, Natasha posing as Lisa to control the research, and George somehow tied to all of this. It's a tangled web, but it all comes back to NeuronPlus RX."
" Everyone think it's a medicine but we all Vampire, Wolves and lamas knew what it's really "
