Chapter 21: Chapter 21
Chapter 21 Bloody Flower
puff!
The sound resonated like a multitude of flowers blossoming!
At that moment, the pirates melted into blood.
This blood coalesced into a crimson Higanbana, casting its reflection upon the Wild Wolf Pirate Ship.
Even the pirate flag was transformed into sanguine petals.
Like a flower emerging from the depths of hell, it tainted the entire vessel with blood.
"hiss! "
"What kind of power is this, Captain? It is truly horrifying! "
"Did you observe how those pirati instantly became blood and were transfigured into this flower? "
The marines had a clear view from the deck.
They were all engulfed in a chill of fear.
This ability appears strange outwardly, yet it undoubtedly expends significant energy internally.
In this instance, most of Bruch's blood energy was depleted, and the return did not justify the expenditure.
Fortunately, the blood that has been consumed can be restored after a brief period of rest, although he is left quite weakened.
Regarding the rationale behind this act. . .
There exists a legend within their vampire lineage.
According to this legend, the blood-colored flower possesses the power to confine sinful souls. They metamorphosed their forms into crimson flowers to permanently anchor their souls and avert reincarnation.
This serves as eternal torment.
The Wolf Pirates are to atone for their transgressions and confront the repercussions of their actions.
While the veracity of the legend remains uncertain, as Bruch cannot perceive souls,
At the very least, this action offers him some sense of satisfaction.
Within that 61 branch, he continues to sense an atmosphere steeped in despair, lamentation, and agony.
Whether in his former life as the Grand Duke of the Blood Clan or as Bruch in this world, he has always despised those who massacre civilians the most.
He recalls that during his past life, his homeland was ravaged by the Sakura Kingdom for approximately six weeks in the bloody twelfth lunar month.
Upon learning of this, Bruch risked his life against the Mage of the Sakura Kingdom.
He sought to eliminate their Magic Tower and erase it from existence.
The officials responsible for the massacre were doomed to suffer; upon death, they would be barred from reincarnation and condemned to kneel for eternity. Their progeny would all be impaired and destined to perish before reaching thirty.
However, this pursuit resulted in serious injuries inflicted upon him by the Mage.
After returning, he required nearly a century to recuperate fully.
If not for these injuries, how could he allow himself to be surpassed by Bakar, who claims pure blood status? He is a vampire grand duke with a blood soul destined for divinity.
Fortunately, in this life, his blood soul is fully developed.
He merely awaits the complete evolution of his vampire form into that of a blood angel, merging it with his blood soul.
He will become the GOD of this world, and the sun and moon will revolve according to his command. The course of the world shall alter due to his influence.
He observed the bloody flower gradually descending into the depths of the ocean.

"Return. "
Bruch gestured for everyone to make their way back.
"Yes! "
The adjutant acknowledged the command and then proceeded to the deck.
Later, upon receiving the report from the adjutant, Bruch let out a slight sigh.
"Twenty-six lives were lost, thirty-one sustained serious injuries, and sixty-five suffered minor injuries. Sixteen fatalities were caused by Jacko, and twenty-three were severely injured by him! "
While his strength is indeed formidable on his own, it places him in a position of constant concern for his subordinates when acting solo.
Had the prowess of the great swordsman been utilized fully, the casualties would not have been as numerous.
"I am still somewhat restrained. "
Ultimately, aboard the vessel were not just pirates, but also naval personnel.
If he had unsheathed his sword and attacked indiscriminately, it is likely that numerous navy members would have met their demise by his hand.
It is important to note that this is not a game, and there are considerations to avoid harming allies.
Such is the nature of large-scale confrontations.
He then stored the information away and retrieved the collected blood, pouring it slowly into a wine glass.
He had requested this from the headquarters hospital, and obtaining approval was a challenging endeavor.
Had he not claimed it was a side effect of the Devil Fruit, it might not have received authorization.
He gradually consumed the blood, allowing it to flow smoothly down his throat.
A hint of sweetness entered his stomach gently.
Sweet!
Bruch remarked, "Indeed, this is the blood of a formidable person in this department. Surprisingly, there is a trace of energy concealed within such rare blood. "
"A person of such strength must be an uncommon find at the Navy Headquarters. Could it be. . . "
He appeared to speculate on the origin of this blood. It was worth noting that there were very few strong women within the Navy Headquarters, as she was the singular exception.
Gazing out at the azure sea from the window, the sea breeze caressed Bruch's cheeks, causing his hair to whip about.
Bruch seldom experienced a moment of tranquility.
Time passed swiftly.
Following the defeat of the Wild Wolf Pirates, the previously somber atmosphere among the navy on board suddenly lightened.
Consequently, there was no urgency for the warships to maintain high speeds.
Thus, they did not arrive back at the Navy Headquarters until noon the following day.
As soon as he disembarked, Bruch took his adjutant and proceeded to report to Sengoku.
Although Garp was technically his superior, Garp exhibited a lack of motivation and advised him to directly report to Sengoku regardless.
Uncertain if this aligned with the intentions of Fleet Admiral Sengoku, Bruch noted the silence permeating the entire headquarters.
He harbored some assumptions regarding this matter, but lacked certainty.
Knock׳~
Bruch tapped lightly on the door, only to hear Sengoku's voice emanating from within.
"Come in! "
Upon opening the door and stepping inside, Bruch executed a military salute.
"Fleet Admiral! "
Noticing it was Bruch, Sengoku casually responded, "No need for such formality, take a seat. "
"Yes! " Bruch complied and sat.
Sengoku set aside the document he was holding and inquired, "Bruch, what is the status of the situation with the Wild Wolf Pirates? "
"The Wild Wolf Pirates have been eliminated. "
"And what of Jacko from the Wolf Pirates? "
"Deceased," Bruch replied in a low tone.
"Indeed. "
Sengoku expressed a lengthy sigh of gratitude before looking at Bruch and stating, "Bruch, you performed exceptionally well in the Branch 61 incident! "
After a brief pause, Sengoku suddenly proposed, "What if you were tasked with rebuilding Branch 61? "
Bruch was taken aback by Sengoku's words.
Having only recently arrived at headquarters, he was being considered for the role of Captain of the North Blue branch before even mastering the Six Styles and Haki?
After careful consideration, Bruch declined, stating, "Fleet Admiral Sengoku, I must respectfully refuse your order. "
"Why is that? "
"Fleet Admiral Sengoku, I have just arrived at headquarters. I still have much to learn, and I do not possess any reliable subordinates in my vicinity. Therefore, it would be prudent to assign someone else to oversee the rebuilding of Branch 61. "
Upon hearing Bruch's reasoning, Sengoku fell into contemplative silence.
Truly, he had only recently joined the headquarters. Due to Bruch's significant strength, Sengoku had somewhat overlooked his recent arrival.
Nonetheless, Bruch, originating from North blue, was indeed a prime choice for the task of revitalizing the 61st branch.
After reflecting for a moment, Sengoku proposed, "Let's proceed in this manner. For the time being, you should train with Garp and set aside Branch 61's matters. I will arrange for someone else to handle it."
"Yes, Fleet Admiral. "
