Chapter 11: Chapter 11

Chapter 11 Start Training

A sharp whistle pierced the tranquility of dawn.

Subsequently, there was a clamor of individuals waking up and preparing themselves.

Bruch was the first to arrive among the team, closely followed by Kiora.

As they stood in place, others rushed in one after another. After all, it marked the initial day of training, and tardiness was not an option.

"Excellent! Your military standards are commendable. Moving forward, I will oversee all your training sessions! Next, complete ten laps around the headquarters! "

"Begin! "

In accordance with Hobison's command, the ten individuals commenced their training vigorously.

——————

"One two one, one two one."

An elderly, robust man passed by with a donut in his mouth. Upon noticing them, he inquired the adjutant trailing him:

"Are these Headquarters new recruits?"

The adjutant observed Bruch and the others engaged in training, then responded, "Vice Admiral Garp, they are navy personnel who arrived from various locations for training yesterday. "

"So, they aren't recruits! " Garl remarked, taking a bite of the donut, his eyes lighting up.

The adjutant experienced a sense of foreboding upon witnessing Garp's current demeanor.

He quickly urged, "Vice Admiral , it's preferable not to interrupt their training. After all, even branch navy from around the world may not be significantly stronger than new recruits! "

Before the adjutant could finish his warning, Garp vanished with a swift motion.

When he reappeared, he was already positioned next to Hobison!

While Hobison was managing the navy's training, he was startled by Garp's sudden appearance, nearly causing him to lose his composure!

Upon turning, he recognized it was Vice Admiral Garp.

Hobison exhaled a sigh of relief and resumed his training directives for the navy.

His heart abruptly quaked!

Garp? !

This is bad! ! !

Despite being lauded as a naval hero, Hobison held no admiration for him.

This was because every time he conducted navy training, Garp's presence seemed to herald misfortune.

Such was the case previously.

They were training smoothly until Garp materialized and took a special interest in a robust marine.

He insisted on applying the iron fist of love to others for practice.

Consequently, he struck the individual, resulting in hospitalization in the headquarters' ICU.

Afterward, he casually remarked:

"Your physique is far too weak! You need to strengthen it! I will return next time. "

With that, he departed without a trace of sincerity.

Only the navy operatives were left disheveled in the aftermath.

Next time?

Hobison subsequently reported the older gentleman to the Fleet Admiral.

Upon learning of the situation, Sengoku became incensed and mandated that Garp refrain from wandering about, causing disturbances at Hobison's location, and consuming donuts.

Unexpectedly, Garp fell asleep during the conversation!

Sengoku was infuriated to the point where he nearly lost his temper, yet in the end, the situation was resolved.

Now, the entire navy is aware that Garp is not in sync with others.

Nonetheless, this does not deter Garp from his fondness for his iron fist and his desire to teach or beat others.

~~~~~~~
Hobison gazed at Garp with a mix of sorrow and anger, particularly when he observed the ten marines below regarding Garp with admiration; this only intensified his feelings of sadness and anger!
Perhaps they are unaware of what lies ahead.
Yet, there is an unexpected twist.
That twist is Bruch.
Although the reason for Garp's presence here is unknown to him, he is not one of those marines who grew up hearing tales of Garp's legendary status as a naval hero.
Initially, he held no admiration for Garp; his interest was solely in his combat skills.
After all, in his previous life, he was regarded as a otaku. The most prevalent topic of discussion in forums was Garp's immense power.
Can he eliminate Akainu with a single blow?
Although he believed this to be implausible, it did not diminish his curiosity regarding Garp's strength.
————
"I was informed that you possess an animal-type fruit user; who is it? "
Garp inquired nonchalantly while chewing a donut and observing the ten individuals below.
Upon hearing Garp's inquiry, everyone's attention shifted towards Bruch.
Bruch felt perplexed; while it was acceptable for others to be inquisitive about Devil Fruits, why was Garp also interested in these abilities?
Following their gaze, he slowly approached and positioned himself nearest to the elevated platform where Garp stood.
"Vice Admiral Garl, it's me."
After executing a military salute, Bruch spoke with a serious demeanor, recognizing that he must show respect to a naval legend.
"Oh? "
Garp quickly devoured the donut in two bites.
Then, he leaped down from the platform.
With a thud, he landed before Bruch.
He looked down at Bruch, who had only just reached his rib level.
Despite Bruch's rapid growth to a height of approximately 2.2 meters, he still fell short of Garp's towering height of over 2.8 meters.
He gazed up at Garp. The pronounced muscular chest was particularly striking from Bruch's vantage point.
From his perspective, one could understand the meaning of oppression.
"Ah ha ha ha! Boy, are you the one with the animal fruit ability? A little bat, huh? "
After scrutinizing Bruch for a moment, Garp chuckled.
Bruch corrected him: "It's an animal-type, ancient species, blood bat form. "
Upon hearing Bruch's clarification, Garp scoffed and remarked, "Is it truly an ancient species? "
Bruch remained silent, patiently anticipating Garp's next words.
Garp continued: "Kid, would you like me to teach you my strongest move? "
Upon hearing this, Bruch's eyes brightened, and he asked, "The strongest move? "
"The strongest move! " Garp confirmed.
Noticing Bruch's evident excitement, Garp laughed.
Only Hobison's expression suddenly darkened as he stood behind them.
I fear that the Navy Headquarters will truly lose a valuable candidate.
The individual who was in the ICU previously eventually recovered but failed to meet the anticipated objectives during the evaluation due to an inability to keep pace with the training regimen.
He had to return to his original branch with a sense of regret.
While the situation was justifiable, Hobison could not provide him with individualized training for three months and could only assure him of a future opportunity to return to the Navy Headquarters for additional training.
However, time is unforgiving. If a person misses the optimal window for development, that opportunity is lost,even if they are later offered another chance.
He returned for a second time, did not even endure the first month's assessment and subsequently went back to his original branch.
It has been reported that he has been discharged from military service and has returned home.
Reflecting on this individual, Hobison felt a surge of anger.
Turning his gaze towards the enthusiastic Bruch, he could no longer contain his frustration and shouted, "Stop!"
