Using entries to cultivate immortality in chaotic times

Chapter 281: "Today is the day to exterminate the Devil Clan!

"Prince Wei Mansion?"

The woman's voice fell, and a shocked murmur arose from the crowd. It wasn't that the force was that significant; in fact, this power was just a small and rather insignificant force in the Fifth Grade Immortal Realm.

It was somewhat noteworthy when the old Family Head was still alive.

But the old Family Head had died, leaving behind only a junior. Under these circumstances, Prince Wei Mansion had weakened significantly, especially since there were rumors that it was caught in a struggle with another power, in a state of mutual hostility.

During such times, Prince Wei Mansion dared to stand out.

This...

Was purely emotional. Should there be the slightest mistake, there would be no need for the Devil Clan to counterattack; the power battling with Prince Wei Mansion would take the opportunity to swallow it up.

But... it hadn't ended yet!

Soon, another hoarse voice echoed from the crowd.

"I am but a Loose Cultivator. Though I can't contribute much strength, I'm also willing to lend Ba Dan a helping hand."

In the crowd, an elder stepped forward looking at Ba Dan, who had fallen to the ground, and said with a smile, "Old friend Ba Dan, do you still remember me?"

"Remember, remember."

Ba Dan, sitting on the ground, with his eyes slightly reddening, grinned and said, "Back in the day, you said you wanted to be a Loose Cultivator for life. I haven't seen you for so many years; I didn't expect you really did stay a Loose Cultivator all your life."

"And me!"

Out of nowhere, hundreds of flying cranes appeared in the sky, their wings unfolded, and the man standing on the leading white crane, a middle-aged man adorned with a bamboo flute at his waist, looked graceful and had a stability and charm that young men lacked.

"How could my 'White Crane Valley' miss such a lively occasion?"

"The Devil Clan has been domineering for thousands of years. Isn't it time for a turn of fortune today?"

More and more people stood up.

Endless Flying Boats and all kinds of mounts steadily arrived. Most of these were old friends of Ba Dan. For a moment, the scales of victory began to tip overwhelmingly in Ba Dan's favor.

Among them, some had started to call on friends to rally support as soon as Ba Dan began to fight, desiring to strengthen Ba Dan's forces.

Others stood out after Ba Dan showed his strength, suffered Mutual Injury with the Demon Clan Leader, and seemed to have a slight chance of winning, especially seeing that many stood by his side.

Yet others wanted to help their old friend all along but feared the Demon Clan's retribution. Seeing a significant number standing up and the scales of victory seemingly tipping in Ba Dan's favor, they took the chance to join.

The common point was that each person here had feelings for Ba Dan.

The difference, however, was the cost they were willing to pay for this relationship.

But...

That was enough.

Friends who have done so much, what more could one possibly ask for? Everyone has their life, and it's not feasible for everyone to abandon everything they have, forsake their family, to help their friend.

To stand up upon seeing a chance of victory, and never to have kicked Ba Dan when he was down.

If such beings cannot be called friends, then what is a friend?

And as more and more people stood up, the Kang Family Head, standing on the deck of a Flying Boat, an ancient who had lived through countless vicissitudes, now tearfully looked down towards Ba Dan with a hoarse voice that rang out loudly.

"Ba Dan, everyone... has come!"

"Next, let's counterattack!"

He was the first to stand out. When Ba Dan accepted that wisp of Yin Emperor's Fortune from an unknown powerful being, he rushed back to gather all the members of the Kang Family to come and assist, and for the sake of momentum, he even brought along some Flying Boats used for cargo.

The first to stand out needed greater courage and paid a higher price. If they could not thoroughly crush the Demon Clan Leader today, what followed would be the endless reprisals from the Devil Clan.

But...

Someone had to be the first to stand out. His thoughts were simple; he had done his best to remain rational, but to watch his old brother die in humiliation before him, he just couldn't do it.

When he was weaker, Ba Dan always stood in front of him, protecting him.

Now that he had become a Clan Leader and had his little power, though incomparable to the Devil Clan or the Barbarian Tribe and not on the same level as a large clan, he still had his strength. If he just stood by and watched now...

This would become his Heart Demon, tormenting him forever.

He remembered what Ba Dan once told him, "If cultivation doesn't follow the heart's desires, then what's the point of cultivating at all."

The words were crude, but he found them reasonable, at least at this moment.

So he came... he brought along all the members of the Kang Family.

...

"You wish to rebel?!"

The Barbarian Tribe Leader, suspended high in the air, looked down with an extremely ugly expression at the tens of thousands of Barbarian giants, each towering at least a hundred meters tall, imposing as they gathered, and said in a deep, resonating voice, "All Barbarian tribesmen should retreat immediately; I will not pursue this matter."

"Otherwise, after this incident, all Barbarian tribesmen involved and their descendants will be demoted to slaves."

"Heh."

The leading Barbarian giant fearlessly met the Barbarian Tribe Leader's gaze, revealing a corner of his armor to show the mark engraved in stone, and sneered, "It seems our leader has quite the short memory, my lord, I was born a slave."
