The giant man's eyes flickered with suspicion, clearly not convinced. Moreover, upon arriving, he had caught a whiff of blood in the air.

Though he didn't know its source, it had to be nearby.

"What else could it be?" Ye Fei interjected.

The man's voice was booming, and his beloved Bai Yingshi was still asleep.

Naturally, he didn't want this guy to disturb her.

The giant man seemed to notice Ye Fei for the first time, his eyes narrowing as he asked, "Who are you?"

"He's my friend," Lan Yueying quickly answered.

Though she wished the man who had humiliated her would drop dead, her son was still in his hands, so she didn't want any conflict between them.

The giant man still looked skeptical. "Your friend? You never leave the house. Where did you get a friend?"

Ye Fei was almost amused by the guy's arrogance. "Who someone befriends is their own business, isn't it? Doesn't seem like it's any of your concern."

"Who says it's not my concern?" the giant man declared haughtily.

"As the guardian of this plateau, everything here—every blade of grass, every tree—falls under my jurisdiction, let alone people!"

"You think you're the emperor, huh?" Ye Fei sneered.

"Even an emperor doesn't get to dictate who people associate with."

The giant man, accustomed to being domineering, was infuriated by Ye Fei's words. He even forgot his original purpose for being there, glaring at Ye Fei and saying, "Kid, you've got a death wish!"

Ye Fei despised people like this—arrogant, self-righteous, and meddling in others' affairs just because they had strength. He coldly retorted, "Who's got a death wish isn't so clear yet."

"Ye Fei, what's going on?" Just as tensions were reaching a boiling point, a melodious voice came from the nearby tent. Bai Yingshi slowly emerged.

"The Guardian of Tianshan?!" The giant man exclaimed in surprise. He was somewhat wary of this guardian, whose strength surpassed his own.

"Ah, the Guardian of the Plateau," Bai Yingshi said with a faint smile. "What has my husband done to offend you so?"

"Husband?" The giant man was shocked. He hadn't expected Bai Yingshi, who had always been single, to have a husband—and such a young one at that. He felt a mix of envy, jealousy, and resentment, so he snorted, "This kid has been disrespectful. I'm going to teach him a lesson!"

Bai Yingshi sighed inwardly. She had heard of this man's temperament—brutal and domineering.

Though Ye Fei's strength was no match for him, she didn't want her beloved man to make too many enemies. Holding onto a sliver of hope, she said, "Could you let it go for my sake?"

"Let it go?" The giant man laughed. "Sure, as long as the kid kneels and apologizes, I'll let it slide."

Bai Yingshi's expression darkened.

"Guardian of the Plateau, are you trying to provoke a conflict?"

Asking Ye Fei to kneel and apologize was out of the question—not just for Ye Fei, but for her as well.

"What if I am? I'm not giving you face today!" the giant man sneered.

Though he was somewhat wary of Bai Yingshi, this was the plateau.

Within this area, he was invincible, and he could do as he pleased.

Ye Fei had remained silent out of respect for Bai Yingshi, but seeing that the situation was beyond reconciliation, he stepped forward, shielding Bai Yingshi, and said, "Ying Shi, step back. Let me deal with this arrogant fool."

"Arrogant fool?" The giant man suddenly burst into laughter, shouting, "Little ones, tell him who rules the sky here!"

At his command, a large group of people gathered from all directions, chanting in unison, "On this plateau, the Guardian is the sky!"

"Quite the entourage, but unfortunately, they're all bootlickers," Ye Fei sneered. Suddenly, two large swords appeared in his hands, and he unleashed his domain, enveloping the giant man.

"Ready to die?"

"A domain?!" The giant man's face finally changed.

Domain power was superior to guardian power.

Within Ye Fei's domain, he couldn't draw on the plateau's energy.

How could he possibly be a match?

Without hesitation, he used a rather humiliating move—shrinking his body and burrowing into the sandy ground, reappearing outside Ye Fei's domain.

Ye Fei sighed inwardly. He had been too careless. He had only thought to trap the man in his domain, forgetting that as the plateau's guardian, earth manipulation was his specialty. What he thought would be an easy fight was now going to be a hard-fought battle.

However, Ye Fei didn't let his frustration show. Looking at the livid giant man, he smiled faintly. "I didn't expect the Guardian of the Plateau to know Sun Wukong's tricks. Too bad you're too tall to look like your ancestor."

Forced to burrow into the ground, the giant man was already humiliated and furious. Ye Fei's mockery only enraged him further.

"Kid, you're dead!" he roared, gathering the entire plateau's energy and charging at Ye Fei.

Feeling the overwhelming power of the man's attack, Ye Fei didn't dare to be careless. He retracted his domain to a radius of about ten feet, forming a protective barrier.

Then, he merged the two large swords into one massive blade and stood his ground, ready to meet the giant man head-on.

Ye Fei was filled with excitement. This man was undoubtedly the strongest opponent he had faced since gaining his powers.

Though Bai Yingshi's strength was on par with the giant man, their previous encounter had been a mere sparring match. This was the real deal.

The giant man, channeling the plateau's energy, was formidable.

With a single punch, he shattered Ye Fei's domain barrier, temporarily preventing Ye Fei from using it again.

The two then engaged in close combat.

Their battle was a clash of brute force, the deafening explosions shaking the ground and making the onlookers' ears ring.

After nearly ten minutes of intense fighting, a deafening explosion, louder than any before, erupted from the dust cloud.

Then, silence fell.
