Urban Powerhouse: Chaos Supreme

Chapter 890: Killing You Like a Dog

The main palace is directly ahead, with almost a third buried under yellow sand, presenting a tilted state, and on either side are two small palace structures, dilapidated and ruined.

"Oh, there's actually a tree!"

Lin Mo widened his eyes, gazing inside the main hall where a lush tree surprisingly grew amidst the yellow sand, with verdant leaves bearing some green fruits.

In these Ancient Battlefield Ruins, Lin Mo lost his mana and naturally became quite ordinary, needing water and food to fill his stomach. After a series of battles, he felt somewhat thirsty.

However, Lin Mo did not rashly proceed forward, for who knows if there are other monsters in the palace. If he encounters a powerful monster, with his current methods, he's not sure he can kill it.

"Better find a place to hide and observe first."

Thinking this, Lin Mo headed toward the dilapidated palace on the left, hiding in a shadowy corner, where a few broken stone pillars could conceal his body. Through the gaps, he could see the tree bearing green fruits from afar.

Here, the scene differed from what Lin Mo saw in the Bloodstained Bible. In that holy book, countless armored humans on horseback fought fiercely, and angels with white and dark wings battled in the sky.

There were also chariots pulled by flaming three-headed hellhounds, charging and slaughtering in the sky, turning the world into a sea of bloodred.

"Could all those corpses be buried under the sand?" Lin Mo wondered.

"Those two rock serpents are really tricky. Even Tenans died at their hands." Suddenly, a curse erupted behind Lin Mo, but there was a wall at his back, so others couldn't see him.

Lin Mo frowned, unexpectedly finding out that besides him, Yuri, and the Hongmen Ancestor, others had also entered.

"Damn it, although Tenans is dead, we gained quite a bit, eight top-quality Energy Stones. There should be plenty of treasures here to search for, and maybe when we leave, we'll be stronger." Another rough voice sounded.

Judging by the footsteps, it seemed there were four people.

"I'm dying of thirst. There's a tree with fruits over there; I'm going to have one first."

With a voice of delight, Lin Mo saw through the gaps a brown-haired man striding toward the tree, quickly picking a fruit and devouring it ravenously.

"It tastes pretty good; come and try it, fellows."

The brown-haired man beckoned. "Oh? No problem." Seeing this scene, Lin Mo sighed in relief.

"Swoosh!"

A black shadow, fast as lightning, suddenly leaped up, forming a strange arc. It opened its mouth, baring two sharp fangs, aiming for Lin Mo's neck.

"Courting death."

Lin Mo's expression changed. With a slash from his dagger, he felt it hit something tough, but a golden light emitted from the dagger, instantly cutting the black shadow into two pieces, which fell to the ground with a thud.

It was a small black snake, its body covered in blue patterns, making it seem undoubtedly venomous.

"Who's there?" A loud shout erupted, and the four people standing under the tree immediately wore vigilant expressions, their eyes focusing on Lin Mo's direction.

Lin Mo knew he couldn't hide any longer, so he simply walked out.

The one who spoke was a rough-looking man with curly brown hair. Beside him were two tall men and a woman, likely strong figures from the Western Dark World.

The four were momentarily stunned upon seeing Lin Mo emerge.

"Mr. Lin?"

The four frowned slightly.

Who in the entire Western world didn't know the name of Lin Mo?

"Didn't expect to see you here too." Lin Mo said indifferently.

The four exchanged glances. The curly-haired rough man flashed a faint trace of ruthlessness in his eyes, then suddenly cupped his hands and said, "So it's Mr. Lin here. I'm Milo, an SSS-level Superpower User, and I deeply admire Mr. Lin."

"Is that so? Then why don't you quickly scram away after seeing me? I hate it when others compete with me for stuff."

Lin Mo sneered, speaking coldly.

Milo hesitated for a moment, then said, "Mr. Lin, we are merely curious about the Ancient Battlefield Ruins, which is why we followed in. How could we have the nerve to compete with you for things? But we can serve as your subordinates and assist you in obtaining things."

"No need."

Lin Mo said in a chilly tone.

Milo's gaze fell on the corner of Lin Mo's garment, where there was a patch of already dried brown blood. He suddenly laughed and said, "Mr. Lin, you seem to have gone through a brutal battle to get here?"

"Hmm?"

Lin Mo frowned, faintly sensing something bad.

After all, upon entering this mysterious ruin, his mana was suppressed, and he could barely use physical strength. The other four people were also superpowers; even though they couldn't use some special energy, their physical prowess was far above that of ordinary people.

Otherwise, it wouldn't be possible to survive the journey from the desert to here.

"Milo, perhaps we should leave?" A big bearded man whispered.

Lin Mo's reputation for kicking down SSS-level Superpower Users had left an indelible impression on these people, naturally instilling a soul-deep tremor in them upon seeing Lin Mo.

Milo suddenly snorted, saying, "Why leave? He's now the same as us."

Hearing Milo's words, the bearded man and the other two were momentarily stunned. What did he mean by that?

"You're saying he's also lost his powers?" The bearded man asked in astonishment.

Milo nodded, "If he hadn't lost his powers, why would he let the blood of a monster stain his body during a fight? Everyone can't use energy, only relying on ordinary physical strength and combat skills. Should our four fear him?"

Lin Mo's expression grew increasingly grim.

In these dilapidated palaces and mysterious Ancient Ruins, unforeseen dangers were abound, and he encountered four Dark World strongmen. Once a fight breaks out, it would inevitably exhaust his physical strength or talisman treasures.

After hearing Milo's words, the fear in the other three's eyes diminished significantly, instead revealing a trace of malicious intent.

"Surely Mr. Lin has many Energy Crystals on him. If you hand them over, we will leave immediately," Mike intently eyed Lin Mo.

Lin Mo scoffed coldly, "You think I will trust your words?"

These four, daring to confront Lin Mo in such a manner, were undoubtedly intent on killing him and wouldn't allow him to leave. For should Lin Mo leave, he would undoubtedly seek revenge once he exits the Ancient Battlefield Ruins.

Now there was only one way, which was to kill Lin Mo. Whether he handed over the Energy Crystals or not, Lin Mo would die!

Mike nodded to Big Beard, and the four began to move slowly, forming a siege to block all of Lin Mo's escape routes.

"Since you're seeking death, I won't hold back."

A murderous glint flashed through Lin Mo's eyes as he moved with his dagger, faster than lightning, almost instantaneously reaching the side of one white man who appeared the weakest.

In a flash of astonishment, the white man's wrist flicked two Triangular Piercings, drawing two chilly arcs in the air, crossing to guard above his head.

"Die."

Lin Mo's dagger, like a black bolt of lightning, ripped through the air with a shrill whistling sound, swiftly slashing down onto the Triangular Piercings. Upon contact, the piercings instantly shattered.

"No... no!"

The white man's pupils contracted.

"Swoosh!"

The head split from the middle, red and white fluids spilling everywhere, dying in the blink of an eye.

The remaining three stood stunned. In these Ancient Battlefield Ruins, they, like Lin Mo, the Hongmen Ancestor, and Yuri, should have all lost their powers.
