Chapter 847: Unexpected
"Shadow, congratulations, your chances of becoming an SSS-level superpower user in the future have increased significantly." Dan Dun patted Shadow's shoulder with a smile.
"Thank you, chief." Shadow clenched his fist excitedly. "Alright, I need to see the Vice President, and you three will come with me." Dan Dun said.
Vice President? A legendary figure in the Superpower Alliance, an SSS-level superpower strongman, and a terrifying existence ranked in the top five of the strongmen's list. Even though Shadow had been a member of the Superpower Alliance for five years, his encounters with the Vice President could be counted on one hand, and he had only met him once during his induction when the Vice President had given a speech.
As for Ivan and Edward, they didn't even have the qualification to meet the Vice President. Now, the chief was going to take the three of them to see the Vice President, and all three of them were so nervous that every muscle in their bodies was tense.
"Shadow, after you see the Vice President, tell him everything you know." Dan Dun instructed.
"Understood, chief." Shadow nodded respectfully.
The three of them walked toward a standalone villa in the middle of the estate. The area around this villa was surrounded by lawns and flowers for hundreds of meters, and there were no other buildings around. Normally, no one was allowed to enter this villa.
"Is the Vice President in?"
Dan Dun walked up to the entrance, where two guards were standing.
"The Vice President has notified us that as soon as you arrive, you can go to the training room to see him." One of the guards said.
In the basement of the villa, there was a huge space. The walls were constructed of a special silvery metal that gleamed like flowing light and could withstand a nuclear attack. The floor was also made of silvery metal, exuding a futuristic, dreamlike vibe.
A man in a white martial arts uniform was standing in the center, continuously swinging his fists. Each punch he threw created a sharp whistling sound as it broke through the air, leaving behind afterimages, with speed as fast as lightning.
"Ha!"
"Ding!"
An electronic synthesis sound came from outside the training room.
"Come in."
The man practicing halted his movements. He appeared to be in his early forties, with black and brown hair, and eyes that were as sharp as a hawk's, making it impossible for anyone to directly look into his eyes.
Shadow followed Dan Dun to the basement, and suddenly all the muscles in his body shivered. The three of them fell to their knees with a thud, as if their muscles and cells were attracted to the floor, blood gurgled, and their hearts began to race.
"So uncomfortable."
Shadow, Ivan, and Edward's faces turned red.
Although Dan Dun was standing, his waist and back were slightly bent, and his complexion was also somewhat unsightly.
"Oh, I'm terribly sorry, I forgot to turn off the gravity training." The man in the white martial arts uniform said, pressing a button on his watch.
Suddenly, Shadow, Ivan, Edward, and others felt their whole bodies relax, letting out a heavy sigh of relief.
"Greetings, Vice President."
"Greetings, Vice President."
"Greetings, Vice President."
The three paid their respects respectfully.
"Hmm, what is the matter you need to inform me about?" The Vice President took a towel to wipe off the sweat.
Shadow, Ivan, and Edward were all shocked by the training room; it seemed that the Vice President had increased the gravity by several times. Once they relaxed their bodies upon entering, they were immediately pressed to the ground by the pressure.
Dan Dun must have been prepared for this, so he didn't end up in such an embarrassing posture.
"For someone like the Vice President to train so diligently every day, it's no wonder he consistently holds one of the top five positions on the strongmen's list," Shadow thought with admiration.
The Vice President's name was Adolf. He was an orphan since childhood, had once been part of the Seal Assault Team, and continued to train diligently even after retiring. He awakened his superpower and grew into a super strong man, forming the Superpower Alliance.
As for the rumored President, it's just a legend. No one has ever seen his appearance, not even a sliver of information, and all anyone knows is the existence of the Vice President.
In the villa living room.
"Would you like a drink?" Adolf was dressed in a casual suit, exuding the elegance of a noble, with a resolute face and a gentle smile, looking nothing like a super strongman from the Dark World.
"Thank you, Vice President, but I have something important to tell you." Chief Dan Dun said.
"Oh? What is it?"
Adolf asked curiously.
Shadow slowly recounted the events leading up to it.
Adolf's previously calm demeanor finally showed a slight change. "Are you saying that an Eastern Martial Artist defeated you, gave you an elixir to restore your strength, and increased your potential?"
"Yes, this is the report from the testing I conducted with Shadow just now." Dan Dun handed over a report.
"Oh?"
A glint flashed in Adolf's eyes. "It seems our Superpower Alliance will have another super strongman. Shadow, you can focus on cultivation. I will provide you with better resources."
"Thank you, Vice President." Shadow immediately stood up and bowed.
"What is the name of that Eastern Martial Artist?" Adolf asked.
"It seems to be Lin Mo, a Huaxia person," Shadow replied.
Adolf slightly frowned, "You said he had a conflict with Mr. Paul?"
"Yes, Mr. Paul was slapped by that guy, which is why I stepped in to help." Shadow nodded.
The Superpower Alliance has good relationships with several prominent families. Occasionally, they would lend a hand with minor issues for families they were friendly with, which does not violate the Superpower Alliance's rules.
"How could a strongman have a conflict with an ordinary person?" Adolf's brows furrowed even more.
Even a powerful conglomerate like the Paul Family is considered merely mortal in the eyes of superpower users.
Suddenly, Adolf seemed to realize something, "Based on your description, the opponent should be a strongman not inferior to an SSS-level power, how could he trouble Mr. Paul? Even if Mr. Paul offended him, with the mentality of a strongman, he would squash him like an ant. This is not good; I have to see the Paul Family's Clan Leader."
With that, Adolf transformed into an afterimage and disappeared from the living room, his rear unfurling a pair of dazzling thunder wings, vanishing into the dark sky like lightning.
"Why is the Vice President so anxious?" Shadow frowned.
Dan Dun lightly coughed, "It's best we don't speculate on the Vice President's thoughts. However, Shadow, congratulations. The Vice President will provide you many resources for your cultivation in the future, and I believe you will soon become an SSS-level strongman."
"It's all thanks to your help, Chief. I'll never forget your kindness." Shadow said with a smile.
"Hmm." The chief nodded.
Paul Family Manor.
A flash of thunder light pierced the sky, accompanied by a loud booming sound.
"Bang!"
The speed was so fast that it broke the sound barrier, and suddenly a figure landed at the entrance of the Paul Family's villa.
The loud sound startled the bodyguards and family members throughout the entire villa estate.
