Lin Chen and the others had waited for about an hour when the guards came out to invite all the Quasi-Saints and Vice Corps Commander-level senior officers to enter the Main Hall for discussion.

As Lin Chen entered the grand discussion hall, he immediately saw the Immortal Emperor.

At the very front of the hall, the enormous Lotus Platform emanated rainbow shimmer, filled with misty Immortal Energy, with the Immortal Emperor seated cross-legged above it. By now, he had dispelled the Golden Light from his body, revealing his true appearance.

Speaking from the heart, the Immortal Emperor had a rather ordinary face; it was neither majestic and dominant, nor was it ruggedly handsome. He looked nearly like any of the myriad of ordinary people, but he possessed a unique temperament, especially his eyes. Deep as the starry sky, they bore a demonic allure, making one dare not meet his gaze for fear of falling into their depths and unable to extricate oneself.

The Seven-colored Immortal Monarch and two others were seated to his left, while Shepherd Heavenly Monarch was on the right. The rest of the Quasi-Saints and high-level military officers all sat below the platform.

A thought suddenly emerged in Lin Chen's mind as he scanned the room: if the Different Races were to suddenly launch an attack and besiege this place, wouldn't all the powerhouses of the Immortal Realm be wiped out in one fell swoop?

Jiang Yunfeng nodded: "They come from a place called the Abyss, naming themselves Abyss Demons. Their purpose of existence is destruction; they find planets with life forms, then consume and annihilate them, growing stronger in the process of devouring and destroying, before searching for their next target."

Abyss Demons?

Lin Chen blinked: "Grow stronger in the process of devouring and destroying?"

"Yes, according to them, all life, including animals and plants, represent life force, even the planets themselves possess strong life force. Abyss Demons use special methods to devour life force, strengthening themselves, not only cultivating stronger high-grade demons but also amassing a vast demon army."

"The Abyssal Demon race was not originally powerful, but through repeated devouring, they became increasingly strong, and the expanse of stars they could reach grew ever wider. Eventually, they discovered the Immortal and Demon Worlds."

"The Abyss Demons do not exist in the same plane as we do. Although they discovered us, they cannot invade wantonly because the stronger the high-grade demon, the more difficult it becomes to cross over, and the greater the planar resistance encountered."

"The Abyss Demons first discovered the Immortal Realm, whose vast and boundless expanses made them drool with envy. So, they tried everything to have the two eggs collide. When both eggs' shells cracked, they were then able to get in?"

Jiang Yunfeng praised, "Your analogy is very apt. That's exactly how it is. Although the Abyss Demons are powerful, they don't fully control planar forces. So at most, they can be considered to be borrowing one force to strike with another, causing the two planes to collide."

"In the beginning, their attempts to shake the planes were extremely difficult; they had to accumulate power over a long time to overlap the planes even once. As Jiang Yunfeng spoke, everyone had already arrived and taken their seats.

The Immortal Emperor began, "The secrets of the alien races have come to light; they are Abyss Demons from the depths of the cosmos, originating from a place known as the Abyss, with the sole purpose of devouring us, of annihilating us. What they want to destroy is not just the Cultivators, not just the Human Clan, but the entire world."

"Should their plan succeed, not a single life form will remain in the Immortal and Demon Worlds; all of the Immortal Domains will ultimately turn into lifeless Death Stars, becoming graveyards, breeding grounds for countless Abyss Demons to thrive and grow stronger."
