The Palace lord said solemnly, "I'll see you out!"

The Palace lord led Lin Chen to the teleportation gate and sent him through.

The Great Wilderness Saint chuckled again, "I know he knows. That's not important. When I asked the question, the answer was already clear. I didn't need to do anything to verify it."

The Palace lord did not doubt the Great Wilderness Saint's ability and curiously asked, "Was what he said true then?"

"It was true."

The Great Wilderness Saint looked at the sky-full of stars, his tone leisurely, "His heart did not waver at all; he holds no such thoughts about the lord of the Great Wilderness Palace, little more than a favorable impression towards you, but he would not disrupt his family because of you."

The Palace lord breathed a sigh of relief; she knew her master had the ability to peer into the human heart, so she worried about hearing an answer she didn't want to hear. Fortunately, that wasn't the case.

"Master, what is the variable you saw?"

The Great Wilderness Saint chuckled lightly, "It cannot be said, for fear that speaking of it might change it. Even what I said to him today might have altered the future. However, it's quite fun to give the Immortal Emperor a bit of trouble."

The Palace lord was full of curiosity but knew there was no point in pressing further after the master had spoken.

"I need to go over this time; is there something I should do?"

The Palace lord's eyes shifted, "Master, are you going to help the Immortal Emperor?"

The Great Wilderness Saint shook his head, "I'm not helping anyone; I'm just going out for a walk, to stretch my legs."

The Palace lord was relieved; the Great Wilderness Palace had only just managed to claim the Black Sky Domain amidst this delicate situation, finally having their own territory. If the Great Wilderness Saint stirred things up again, it might cause ripples.

The Great Wilderness Saint saw through the Palace lord's concerns and assured with a laugh, "Don't worry. Although the Demon Emperor would love for me to confront the Immortal Realm, they aren't foolish enough to force me towards him when they clearly can't match me. Perhaps there will be confrontations and probes but that's all. The Immortal Emperor might even invite me for a drink."

The Palace lord chuckled, "Then I wish you a smooth journey and a safe return."

The Great Wilderness Saint turned his head back and closed his eyes, "Go ahead; come by before you leave, and I'll refine a Magical Treasure for you to evade the Gray Mirror."

"Okay!"

The Palace lord bowed and took his leave.

Upon returning to the Great Wilderness Temple, the Palace lord met the waiting Lin Chen.

Back at the top of the Great Wilderness Divine Palace, sitting in the living room, the Palace lord inquired, "Now that you've decided to go, what's your plan?"

Lin Chen said with a laugh, "The plan is simple. Once Nalan Wushuang leaves the Secret Realm, we'll head to the Blood Wind Demon Domain, find the Vice Sect Leader of the Golden Sword Sect, Huang Tao, and have him take us to the Immortal Demon Channel. Once the elder settles the Gray Mirror, we'll cross the channel."

"Once we pass the channel and leave Cheng Tuo behind, all will be well. The sky is high for the birds to soar, and the sea is vast for the fish to leap; the world is vast, and we can go anywhere we like."

The Palace lord nodded, "Alright, let's do as you say."

Lin Chen asked, "I will bring all my people; how many will you bring, Palace lord?"

The Palace lord shook his head, "To avoid trouble, I'll just bring Bai Zhu; I won't bring anyone else."

Lin Chen paused, "You're not bringing anyone?"
