Chapter 24 You All Deserve to Die!

Ye Qing found an alley to hide in and mainly observed the beggars on the square, as well as the people who were watching them.

It was obvious that these beggars were being controlled by these people. Ye Qing even suspected that his own brother might be under their control. And his limbs, they must have been broken by these people, forcing him to beg as a disabled person.

Ye Qing now faintly understood what the boss had said. Why were all these beggars disabled?

Clearly, these disabilities were man-made!

Ye Qing imagined the pain his brother must have endured, and his heart twisted in agony.

In his life, he didn't have many relatives. The only direct blood relatives he had left were his father Ye Changwen and his brother Ye Jun. If anyone dared to harm Ye Jun in the slightest, he would not let that person off. What's more, Ye Jun might have had his legs broken deliberately. How could Ye Qing just let it go!

Ye Qing had been standing there until the evening, for an entire day, the beggars had been exposed to the scorching sun. They hadn't eaten a bite of food or drunk a drop of water, most of them looked like they were on their last breath. Those who were secretly watching them, however, were sitting in air-conditioned rooms, enjoying the cool breeze and cold drinks, in extreme comfort.

Around six o'clock, several vans suddenly arrived at the square. A few people got off the vehicles and threw the disabled people into the vans, one by one.

Ye Qing's heart stirred, he had been waiting for these people.

He was about to go out and follow the vans when suddenly, hurried footsteps came from behind. Ye Qing turned around and saw the little girl who had been begging at noon, running in with a panicked expression.

The little girl was holding a half-eaten cake in her hands, with dirt still on it, probably discarded by someone. She frantically swallowed the cake, but because she ate too hastily, she choked on it and began to turn blue due to suffocation.

Still, the little girl didn't stop moving, as if she was running from something. And at this moment, a young man came running from behind.

Seeing the young man, the little girl's face immediately filled with terror. She hurriedly threw the cake aside, kneeled on the ground, and said with a trembling voice, "Uncle, I won't dare... I won't ever dare again…"

Without saying another word, the young man kicked the little girl in the chest. She flew back more than two meters, and when she sat up again, she was spitting blood continuously.

"You motherfucker..." The young man swore, but suddenly saw Ye Qing in front of him, and he swallowed the rest of his words. Angrily, he said, "You and your mother are the same, always eating, eating, eating; you'll eat me out of house and home!"

As he spoke, the young man grabbed the little girl by her hair and dragged her out. His tone sounded like he might be the girl's father, but his actions were brutally violent.

Ye Qing's face turned ice-cold, but as he prepared to chase after the young man, he suddenly remembered the vans from earlier. He hurriedly turned to look, but the vans had already driven off far away, and it was too late to follow them now.

Ye Qing furrowed his eyebrows, fell silent for a moment, then suddenly turned and followed the young man.

The young man was dragging her by the hair, almost pulling her along on the ground. The little girl's mouth was still bleeding, leaving a trail of blood drops on the ground behind her.

Ye Qing followed from a distance, his hands clenching tighter and tighter.

The youth dragged the little girl into an alley where a van was parked, with several other kids inside who looked about the same age. The youth kicked the little girl and threw her onto the van.

"Damn it, this little bastard, always the biggest pain every time!" spat the youth. He asked, "How did we do today?"

The driver in front responded, "Not good. People are becoming less and less compassionate!"

"Looks like we need to up the stakes," the youth eyed the children inside the van and said, "We gotta talk to Brother Lin, change our policies. Break these kids' arms or legs or something, otherwise, why would people pity them?"

Muttering to each other, they drove off, and Ye Qing followed at a distance. Fortunately, in the busy city area, the van couldn't go very fast, and Ye Qing had no trouble keeping up.

Leaving the plaza, the vehicle headed to the back of the vegetable wholesale market in the western part of Shenchuan City. It was one of the shabbier areas of the city, chaotic and disheveled.

The van turned into an alley behind the wholesale market—a dark, uneven, and rarely trodden path.

Ye Qing followed from a distance until the van finally pulled into a large, high-walled courtyard at the end of the alley. The intermittent barking of dogs could be heard from within, but it was unclear what the situation was inside.

Ye Qing pressed against the wall outside the courtyard and listened. Beyond the barking, he could faintly hear the cries and wails of children.

Ye Qing furrowed his brows, almost certain that these were people making money off small children.

After surveying the terrain surrounding the courtyard, he had a decent understanding of the layout. Using the cover of the dark night, Ye Qing climbed the wall and lay flat on top, quietly observing the situation inside.

The courtyard was large, with three big cages. Each cage contained a ferocious-looking wolfhound, and shockingly, one of the cages even held a child about five or six years old.

The wolfhound, maybe out of hunger or some other reason, was snarling and pawing fiercely at the child. The child, terrified and trembling, curled up in a corner of the cage crying non-stop. Thankfully, the wolfhound was chained up, but the scene was still quite alarming!

Upon witnessing this, Ye Qing felt a surge of murderous intent.

He'd always believed there were limits to how unscrupulous a person could be. But today, he discovered he'd been wrong. The deeds of these people were hardly inferior in brutality to the notorious bandits along the border. In fact, they were even more cruel than those who killed without compunction. At least those outlaws targeted adults, but these people tormented innocent children!

Clenching his fists, Ye Qing was ready to jump into the courtyard. Just then, the door of the main house opened, and a man dragging a child stepped out.

Lying flat on the ground, the child was unwilling to come out, crying and shouting, "Uncle, uncle, I'll definitely make a lot of money tomorrow, a lot of money. Please don't lock me up with the dog, please no…"

The child's cries were deafening, but the man ignored him entirely, dragged him to the edge of the cage, and threw him inside.

The child grasped the cage door, refusing to go in. The wolfhound's roaring was thunderous, threatening to charge, which caused the child to tremble all over.

With force, the man closed the cage door, catching the child's hand in it. The child let out a pitiful scream of pain and could not help but let go. Taking advantage of this, the man quickly locked the cage, trapping the child in with the savage wolfhound.

Ye Qing was nearly grinding his teeth to bits, preparing to leap down, when another person came out of the house. It was the youth from the plaza, dragging the little girl who had asked Ye Qing for money at noon.

"Throw her in as well!" the young man ordered.

"Didn't she get enough money already?" the man asked, puzzled.

"This little bastard dares to eat what others give her and even spoke a few words to that person. If we don't teach her a lesson, where will it end?" the young man declared.

"Uncle, I know I was wrong, please spare me, I... I was just so hungry that I ate a little bit, I won't dare do it again..." the little girl begged tearfully.

The young man slapped the girl across the face with the back of his hand and cursed, "Spare your mother, I went to find you, and you dared to run away, are you asking for death!"

The little girl was sent flying by the young man's slap, her head hitting the courtyard wall, blood pouring out as she immediately passed out.

Ye Qing had just jumped into the courtyard, but was too late to stop the young man. Seeing the little girl like this, Ye Qing couldn't help shouting in anger, "Damn it!"

The young man and his companion were startled, and as they turned to see Ye Qing, they were initially taken aback before their expressions drastically changed.

"Who are you?" the man demanded angrily. "How did you get in here?" Brоught tо yоu by МV6LЕМРY6R.

Instead of answering, the young man ran towards the main house, yelling, "Third Brother, Tiger, come out quick, there's trouble!"

Three men ran out of the main house, all with vicious looks on their faces. One of them was even holding a machete with bloodstains on it.

Seeing Ye Qing, they were all somewhat surprised. One of them stepped forward slowly and said in a deep voice, "Which road are you from, friend? I'm Zhou Wu, this is Brother Lin's place. You should know Brother Lin, right?"

"I don't!" Ye Qing replied with a cold voice.

The five men's expressions changed once more, and the young man glared at Ye Qing, angrily saying, "By saying that, are you telling me you're not going to give Brother Lin face either?"

"I wasn't planning on giving face to anyone," said Ye Qing coldly.

Their expressions changed again, and Zhou Wu said gravely, "Friend, if you're in the underworld, you should know what happens when you offend Brother Lin. If you're not, hmph, I'd advise you not to meddle in affairs that don't concern you."

"What do you think?" Ye Qing said, taking steps forward, his gaze sharp as a knife, fixated on the five men before him.

"Motherfucker, you're here looking for trouble!" the young man roared, glancing at Zhou Wu.

Zhou Wu slowly nodded. Understanding the signal, the young man walked up to Ye Qing and threw a kick at him.

Ye Qing didn't even attempt to dodge. He grabbed the young man's foot and slammed his elbow into the young man's knee. The young man's leg twisted grotesquely as Ye Qing shattered his knee with a single blow!

Zhou Wu and the others immediately erupted into chaos, four men coming at Ye Qing to encircle him.

"Kill him!" Zhou Wu commanded furiously.

The man wielding the machete charged at Ye Qing, raising the blade towards his head.

Without hesitation, Ye Qing countered with a punch to the man's face.

Just one punch, and the man's nose caved in, blood pouring from his nose and mouth, as he rolled on the ground screaming in agony.

Zhou Wu was taken aback. He looked at Ye Qing and demanded with a grave voice, "Brother, what... what exactly do you do?"

"I kill," Ye Qing said as he approached the young man with the broken leg and suddenly stomped on his chest.

A sound of bones crushing, the young man's ribs were shattered by Ye Qing's stomp, making it difficult for him to even breathe.

Zhou Wu and the others looked on in fear. They were known to be ruthless, but Ye Qing was far more brutal than they were!

However, seeing Ye Qing step by step approaching them, they knew they had no way out.

"Attack, all of you, together!" Zhou Wu yelled as he rushed towards Ye Qing.

The remaining two men also drew their weapons and charged, hoping to overcome Ye Qing with their numbers.

Ye Qing, as unmoved as Mount Tai, waited until the three men were almost upon him before kicking Zhou Wu in the chest. Zhou Wu ended up just like the young man before him, with his ribs half broken, lying on the ground struggling to breathe.

The other two, one punch each from Ye Qing, ended up on the ground as well. However, Ye Qing showed no sign of letting them go.

Ye Qing walked over to the man who had locked the children in the cage earlier. The man looked up at Ye Qing with a panic-stricken face and took a step back, covering his face as he trembled, "Big Brother, Big Brother, where... where did I offend you, please tell me..."

"You still don't know why at this point?" Ye Qing shook his head slowly, looking at the children in the cage.

The two children watched intently from within, their faces devoid of fear and terror; instead, they seemed to experience a kind of vindictive satisfaction.

Ye Qing felt a chill in his heart. They were just children. What kind of life had they lived to have lost their innocence, to be thinking about revenge already?

Ye Qing sighed and said softly to the two children, "Close your eyes."

The children obediently closed their eyes, and then Ye Qing bent down to face the man and said with deliberate emphasis, "Do you know? You all deserve to die!"
