Chapter 209 Treating Chang Jing
Qin Hao glanced at Zhou Zhen, Song Cai, and the others, saying, "I need a quiet environment for the treatment. Ms. Zhou, could you wait outside for a while?"
"Sure, we will be right outside if you need us,"
Zhou Zhen and the others all exited and then closed the door behind them.
Qin Hao looked at Chang Jing on the bed and said, "Miss Chang, I'm going to start the treatment now."
"Um, Mr. Qin, please proceed," replied Chang Jing flatly.
Qin Hao kneeled on one knee beside her and took a deep breath, "Miss Chang, I need to spread out your hair. Is that okay?"
Chang Jing was very beautiful, and she also possessed a special temperament.
He was afraid his inadvertent movements might offend Chang Jing.
So he was very careful.
As if imagining his restrained expression, Chang Jing smiled and said, "Mr. Qin, don't be too formal. Treat me as you would normally."
Upon hearing her affirmative response, Qin Hao extended his hand to gently lift her head and then spread her hair out.
A faint scent wafted into Qin Hao's nostrils.
Chang Jing's fair neck could also feel the warmth from Qin Hao's arms.
But she remained calm, without any shy blush.
After spreading her hair, Qin Hao took out the Nine-Nine Silver Needles and started inserting them at the sides and on top of her head.
Outside, Chang Anding, Song Cai, and others waited anxiously.
They were unsure whether Qin Hao could cure her and were praying in their hearts.
Chen Shengjun wasn't very confident either and asked Xu Liangguo, "Xu, do you think Xiao Hao can do it?"
After thinking for a moment, Xu Liangguo nodded, "Since he dared to treat Xiao Jing, he must be quite confident. Don't worry, Mr. Chen."
Inside the room, after about half an hour, Chang Jing's temples and head were filled with silver needles.
This set of acupuncture was specifically designed to stimulate nerve growth and served as an auxiliary function.
The most crucial aspect was still the effect of the spirit medicinal solution.
This acupuncture technique became available only after Qin Hao's medical skills had upgraded.
Each silver needle was precisely inserted into the tiny nerve lines, a task as difficult as balancing a needle on a grain of wheat.
There could be no mistakes during acupuncture, or it could cause even more severe damage.
After finishing the acupuncture, Qin Hao was drenched in sweat.
Though it seemed effortless, the process was enormously draining.
"Drip"
A drop of Qin Hao's sweat fell, and unfortunately, it landed right on Chang Jing's rosy cherry lips.
In an instant, Qin Hao felt his cheeks burning hot, turning red, "I'm sorry. It wasn't on purpose."
"I know," Chang Jing said in her usual composed tone.
Qin Hao didn't know what else to say, the atmosphere grew awkward.
After a dozen seconds, Qin Hao said, "Miss Chang, try not to move. I'm going to wash my face first."
Chang Jing: "Um!"
...
Qin Hao opened the door and stepped out, whereupon Chang Anding and Song Cai, seeing him, quickly asked, "Mr. Qin, how is my daughter?"
Qin Hao: "The treatment isn't finished yet. Uncle Chang, Auntie, please don't worry. I'm going to wash my face."
Only then did everyone notice his condition—his whole head was sweaty, and his T-shirt was soaked through.
"Let Xiao Hao wash up first, no need to rush," Zhou Zhen interjected.
Qin Hao hurriedly walked into the restroom and thoroughly washed his face.
"How's Jing?"
As Qin Hao reached for a towel, Xu Siyao passed him a new one and asked.
Qin Hao replied softly, "It's going smoothly, there shouldn't be any major issues."
"You're amazing. Jing would be so happy if her eyes could see again," Xu Siyao said with a smile on her face, her eyes flashing with admiration.
Qin Hao smiled faintly.
He wasn't treating Chang Jing to incur the gratitude of the Chang Family or Chen Shengjun.
At first, he had thought that way, but after seeing Chang Jing's smile, he had changed his mind.
When dealing with his enemies and certain people who crossed his bottom line, he was indeed ruthless.
But in some ways, his heart was quite soft.
...
After drying his face, Qin Hao handed the towel back to Xu Siyao and walked back.
When he reached the door, he said to Song Cai and Chang Anding, "Prepare some bandages, they'll be needed shortly."
Song Cai nodded hurriedly, "Okay!"
After she finished speaking, she was ready to go look for them, but Chen Shengjun said, "I'll have the guards fetch them, there are bandages in the car."
Soon the bandages were brought, and Qin Hao took the bandages and entered the room again.
Chang Jing lay motionless on the bed, maintaining the same position as before.
Qin Hao asked, "Miss Chang, do you feel warmth around your eye sockets?"
Chang Jing: "A bit warm!"
The acupuncture was beginning to take effect; Qin Hao checked the time and ten minutes later, he removed the silver needles, one by one.
Seeing Chang Jing, he felt somewhat embarrassed, "Miss Chang, please don't close your eyes. I need to apply some medicine for you."
Chang Jing: "Um, okay."
Qin Hao took out half a bottle of tonic solution and then gently dropped it into Chang Jing's eyes.
The solution entered her eyes without spilling out, but instead, it miraculously soaked in.
Chang Jing's eyes were like parched land soaking up rainwater.
Chang Jing also felt a change; after the solution dropped in, there was a refreshing feeling that was very comforting.
Qin Hao dropped more than a dozen drops into both her eyes, and the half bottle of tonic solution was completely used up.
"Miss Chang, you can close your eyes now, but don't squeeze them too tight."
Upon hearing this, Chang Jing closed her eyes gently, and Qin Hao took the bandages in one hand while gently lifting her head with his other hand under her neck.
Then he wrapped her eyes with the bandages several times.
After he was done, Qin Hao put her down and heaved a sigh of relief, "There you go, Miss Chang. I'll come back tomorrow to remove them for you."
"Thank you, Mr. Qin. You sound pretty young, don't you?" Chang Jing asked.
Qin Hao chuckled, "I'm nineteen this year."
"You're so young. Can you tell me what the world outside looks like? Is the sky blue? Are the flowers colorful? My mom often reads me articles that say so," Chang Jing asked with a smile on her face.
Seeing her smile, Qin Hao said, "Miss Chang, you can see for yourself tomorrow."
When Chang Jing heard this, her expression froze for a second, "Do you mean I'll be able to see the outside world tomorrow, Mr. Qin?"
Qin Hao nodded, "If nothing unexpected happens, you should be able to."
The tonic solution was very potent and could develop her optic nerves to a normal condition overnight.
"Thank you." Chang Jing's smile became even brighter.
Seeing her smile, Qin Hao felt a sense of accomplishment.
This sort of fulfillment wasn't something that could be exchanged with money or favors.
He sought no reward but only wished that there would be fewer people in the world like Chang Jing, who suffered from innate ailments.
"I'll leave now, Miss Chang. You can rest," Qin Hao said as he exited the room.
The people outside watched him leave, but no one spoke.
Qin Hao then said, "I'll come over tomorrow to remove Miss Chang's bandages. If there are no unexpected issues, her eyes should recover."
"Really?" Song Cai and Chang Anding were somewhat excited.
Over the years, they were acutely aware of the pain their daughter had endured. Even though she often wore a smile, they knew it was her way of comforting them.
