Chapter 39: The Policewoman, Scared the Baby
Bald Scar knelt on the ground, his calves trembling uncontrollably. He had seen tough guys before, but never anyone this tough.
In just about a minute, more than twenty of his men were down, and he hadn't even reacted before getting punched and losing his fighting ability.
Bald Scar forcefully swallowed his saliva, looking at Lin Hai in horror and said, "Brother, can we just forget about this, okay?"
"Forget it? You think it's up to you to say forget it?" Lin Hai laughed.
People who bully the weak and fear the strong need to be taught a lesson; otherwise, they will only behave arrogantly. But after a lesson, they become even more obedient than a grandson.
"I belong to Young Master Xiao," Bald Scar knew he had to show his backing, and after saying that, he seemed somewhat proud.
"Young Master Xiao? Don't know him." Lin Hai curled his lip. He was new to Huadu, and knew very few people.
"Xiao Jiba, Young Master Xiao, the son of the police chief," Bald Scar said, seeming to feel much more confident after speaking.
After all, ordinary people shudder merely upon hearing the words 'police chief.'
Lin Hai was stunned for a moment, then burst into a big laugh.
So this Bald Scar turned out to be Xiao Jiba's lackey.
"Brother, I can handle things on this street too. How about we become friends and let today's matter slide?" Initially, Bald Scar thought that terrifying Lin Hai and bringing up Xiao Jiba's name would make him back down.
But Lin Hai's unrestrained laughter made him uncertain.
Bald Scar saw Lin Hai's fist suddenly coming down toward him, his pupils dilated, and then everything went dark as he fell to the ground, knowing nothing.
...
On the other side, in a private room of a bar, an extravagantly dressed, heavily made-up woman with a voluptuous figure was slightly furrowing her brows.
Standing in front of her was a young man dressed as a waiter, sweating profusely and looking very cautious, not daring to make a sound.
"Liu, what's going on? The intel said that the drug dealer would definitely come here tonight to make a deal. Explain this to me!" The glamorous woman was not seductive at the moment; instead, she sternly rebuked the young man dressed as a waiter.
"Captain Qi, there was a sudden street fight outside, and the drug dealer might have noticed something and escaped by blending into the crowd," the young man named Liu wiped his forehead continuously.
"Dammit, I dressed up as a hostess tonight specifically to catch this big fish. Which bastard started the fight outside?" Qi Weiwei's face was cold as ice, her cute little nose wrinkled as she snorted.
"I'm not sure, it seems it was Bald Scar's gang. You know, that guy has the backing of Xiao..."
Liu kept wiping his sweat. Queen Qi was known in the police force for her fiery temper and strong martial arts skills; she could single-handedly take on over a dozen men in the force. Angering her could be deadly without knowing how one might die.
"Call the guys, bring all those involved in the fight outside back, not a single one should be left!" Qi Weiwei, trembling with anger, her chest heaving under the lights, made Liu swallow hard.
"What are you looking at? Dare to stare at my chest? Believe it or not, I will gouge out your eyeballs!"
Qi Weiwei snorted coldly, scaring Liu who was sweating profusely and he frantically shouted into the walkie-talkie, "Target disappeared, target disappeared, Sister 7 orders, bring all those who were fighting outside back, do a urine test first, then check their criminal records…"
At this moment, Su Wanjing's eyes flickered continuously, deeply shocked by Lin Hai's performance just now.
Although Lin Hai's movements were utterly chaotic and seemed to lack any martial arts skills, his incredibly fierce momentum was not something ordinary people could imitate.
Comparing him to the elite special forces bodyguards her family employed, Su Wanjing was shocked to realize that Lin Hai was much stronger than those guys.
Recalling the first time she met Lin Hai, his extraordinary arm strength stood out. Although he seemed decadent, lazy, and even somewhat slick-talking, occasionally hitting on her, he had just displayed a deeply unsettling aura.
Su Wanjing believed that this was not the kind of momentum a mere logistics soldier could possess.
Momentum isn't something you can mimic accurately just by trying.
The aura Lin Hai had just demonstrated wasn't simple mimicry; it seemed to be an effortless emanation from him.
Several plainclothes police officers suddenly appeared, taken aback by the aftermath they witnessed.
Despite standing far from them, Lin Hai's aura was so strong it was suffocating.
Qi Weiwei was dressed provocatively, with skirts short and necklines low, her busty chest and round backside mesmerizing under the flashing bar lights. Her queenly demeanor was enough to make many a man with weak willpower nearly kneel in awe.
"Freeze! Hands up! Squat down!" Upon seeing Lin Hai, Qi Weiwei's pupils shrank like pinpoints, mistaking him for a fearsomely dangerous thug, and instinctively drew her weapon, aiming it at Lin Hai and shouting the commands.
The plainclothes officers, initially shocked by Lin Hai's imposing presence, snapped back to reality with blushing cheeks, swarming around Lin Hai in agitation.
"Police! Don't move, or we'll shoot!" Qi Weiwei's icy voice echoed through the entire bar.
"What the heck?" Lin Hai's eyes widened as he looked at the group suddenly surrounding him, recognizing from their badges that these must be the legendary plainclothes officers mentioned in rumors.
Initially planning to show off a bit more after dealing with Bald Scar to impress the beautiful Su Wanjing, Lin Hai hadn't expected to end up in this situation.
A dozen plainclothes officers nervously pulled out their weapons, casting vigilant glares at Lin Hai as if facing a formidable enemy.

Seeing several guns pointed at him, Lin Hai instantly felt miserable.
"Big brothers, what's going on? I'm a good guy, a law-abiding citizen, a big-time law-abiding citizen. You've got it wrong! I'm the victim here."
Lin Hai squeezed out a servile smile, but as soon as he spoke, the intimidating aura he exuded earlier vanished without a trace, reverting to his sloppy, lazy, and sleazy security guard demeanor.
The officers surrounding Lin Hai paused, feeling humiliated and furious – they'd been intimidated by this slovenly punk?
Standing next to Qi Weiwei, Liu also widened his eyes, in disbelief that the intimidating presence he just felt turned out to be all bluff – could he have been mistaken?
Qi Weiwei glared at Lin Hai thinking, "How embarrassing! So, it was this weirdo who gave me a scare? I thought he was a terrorist, but he's just a security guard. His expression couldn't be more decadent and sleazy – I hate these wimpy men the most."
"You, squat down! You guys, take off his belt," Qi Weiwei ordered furiously.
The plainclothes officers immediately reached for Lin Hai's waist.
"Hey, hey! Officers, stop messing around, I'm not gay!" Lin Hai yelled, covering his groin.
The officers' foreheads lined with black veins, and with stern faces, they barked, "Resisting? Shoot him immediately."
"Holy crap, that's harsh!" Lin Hai hastily raised his hands high, saying, "Officers, I am a law-abiding citizen, a big-time law-abiding citizen. Go ahead, I absolutely won't resist. Forget about the belt, Officer Lady, even my underwear?"
