Uprising: My Life in a Video Game

Chapter 18: Chapter 18: Stupid

"Ok, let's start roll call, if you hear your name say here, Jacob…" Vorden avoided eye contact with those two and continued with his business.

"Daniel."

"Here"

"Claire"

"H-here"

"Ok. My name is Vorden Tales and I am going to be your teacher from today onwards. I will be your class instructor, your Maths teacher, Sociology teacher and Battle Strategy Instructor. It seems like you are having math today so please, where did you stop in your last class." Vorden said in his teacher voice trying to sound very experienced.

"Mr Tales, we stopped in word problems involving addition." a random student replied.

"Oh! Which grade is this?" Vorden was surprised. The students here looked around the age of 12 to 15 and they are still learning word problem involving addition. 'Maybe its revision.' he thought.

"We are grade 11." another student replied. These students were normally trouble makers but with those two bouncers beside Vorden and with the rumors of him being from the influential and infamous Miss Layla, they didn't want to try their luck.

"Ok! I will give you some questions to see your current level, just take your time and solve them, then submit. It will be quite much, so when you are done, put it on my desk and use the remaining period to rest your mind." Vorden wrote simple questions on the board for them to solve. He put simple questions a grade 9 will be able to solve, and he kept a few grade 11 questions.

Questions like simple multiplication, division and basically BODMAS were also added. He put some tricky word problems that can be solve easily if one just think a little deeper.

After Vorden was down writing on the board, he looked at the faces of the students and frowned. They sweating bullets and barely wrote anything. Vorden raised an eyebrow. 'This questions aren't too difficult, are they? Grade 4 students may be able to solve this.'

Vorden tried to instruct the bodyguards to watch the students but they didn't listen. So he just went to his desk and put his head on his table trying to gather his thoughts.

After a while, the bell rang for the next period. Everyone had already submitted. Vorden was able to use that small period of rest to rearrange his priorities and was in better condition.

He picked a paper to grade. After looking at the paper for awhile, Vorden frowned. The particular paper he was gradingwas almost completely wrongly answered. The only questions that were gotten were the bonus ones on additions.

Looking at others it was the same. The answers were as wrong as they were stupid. A particular question said if I had 4 apples and I gave 2 to my teacher, how many will I have left. A student replied 'I can never give a teacher who dresses like Santa in spring my apples, so he can go and **** himself.' Wow! That's rich! So rich!

The only word Vorden could describe there work is…

Stupid.
