UNKNOWN COMING: I Have A Invincible Domain

Chapter 1 - Opening with an Invincible Domain

On a dimly lit street, a figure was sprinting forward, glancing back occasionally with a hint of solemn in his eyes.

As the figure passed a flickering yellow streetlamp, it was faintly discernible as a tall and stunning woman.

She was clad in a black trench coat, paired with knee-high stiletto boots, revealing a glimpse of her slender thighs between the coat and her short skirt.

Her slightly pale, exquisite face, complemented by a cascade of purple wavy hair, exuded an alluring charm in the dim surroundings.

“Damn it!” she cursed under her breath. “What’s the intelligence department good for? Weren’t we told there was only one Spirit Realm ”killer”? Why are there two now?”

The woman’s eyes were filled with anger as she spoke in a crisp, cold voice.

Shortly after, a crackling static sound came from the miniature walkie-talkie clipped to her collar.

“Chu Ran, we just found out that the ‘killer’ has planted a mole in the intelligence department. They were the ones who leaked the information this time!”

The voice was rushed and urgent. “You must hold on; I’ve already dispatched Mo Yun to pick you . He should be able to reach your indicated coordinates in half an hour!”

Upon hearing the message from the walkie-talkie, the woman’s delicate eyebrows furrowed even more tightly. “Half an hour? You’ll be collecting my corpse by then!”

She snapped before abruptly cutting off the communication.

Her pace quickened once again, but the intense hunger gnawing at her stomach caused a momentary dizziness.

She pulled out half a black block from her pocket, and after a moment of hesitation, she shoved it into her mouth. This was her last remaining food. If she couldn’t hold on until reinforcements arrived, she would starve to death on the streets, even without those two ‘killer’.

A short while later, the discomfort from hunger subsided slightly, and some strength returned to her body. She didn’t hesitate any further, her figure flitting about like a phantom, weaving through the streets and alleys.

A few streets away from the woman, a faint light emanated from a corner house, spilling onto the street through dust-covered windows. Though not bright, it was enough to dispel some of the surrounding darkness.

Above the small house hung a wooden plaque with a few crooked characters painted in red.

— [Cosmic Convenience Store] —

On the wall beside the convenience store, a wooden sign hung, bearing the words:

— Beware of Vicious Dogs Inside! —

The convenience store was about ten square meters in size. In the front was a wooden-framed glass counter with an abacus on top. The two sides were lined with floor-to-ceiling wooden shelves, filled with a dazzling array of food items.

In the center of the room, a round wooden dining table was set, from which the aroma of beef wafted.

An Alaskan Malamute sat at the dining table, making soft munching sounds.

It was hard to imagine a dog sitting at a dining table, thoroughly enjoying a meal like a human…

With skillful knife and fork movements, pieces of tender and juicy beef were sent into the dog’s mouth.

“Su Xiao, your cooking skills are truly… a disaster…” A human-like voice came from its mouth, and then it looked with a hint of dissatisfaction at a young man lying on a rocking chair behind the counter.

The young man was about twenty years old, wearing a white tank top that was almost worn to transparency, knee-length shorts, and a pair of pink slippers.

Su Xiao put down the newspaper in his hand, glanced at the dog who was acting like a human, and said indifferently: “Alright! What time is it now? Be grateful that you have something to eat!”

“That steak of yours, if it were outside, would be enough to buy my life!”

“Besides, why should I be responsible for your food, drink, and everything else?” Su Xiao sat up straight, as if thinking of something unfair, and the rocking chair under him creaked.

The Alaskan Malamute snapped the chopsticks in half, using the pointed end to pick at the leftover meat in its mouth, its eyes innocent.

“What can I do? I’m just a system incarnation!”

“You can’t possibly ask a dog to go out and earn money, can you?”

Su Xiao was taken aback and said, “If you can’t earn money, at least eat less, right?”

“I can eat and poop!” The Alaskan Malamute’s old face blushed, pretending not to hear.

“And, can’t you eat something cheaper?”

“Like instant noodles or spicy sticks!” Su Xiao tentatively asked.

The Alaskan Malamute quickly shook its head. “I’m a carnivore; these things are not conducive to my growth and development! And…”

“Dogs shouldn’t eat too salty…”

Su Xiao looked at the dog, which weighed over 130 pounds and was much taller than him when standing, and the corners of his mouth couldn’t help but twitch.

He had discussed similar issues with the dog system countless times, but every time, it could find the most appropriate reason!

Since he couldn’t reduce expenditure, he could only find ways to increase income!

Then, his mind moved, and a void starry sky appeared in his mind, with countless stars twinkling with different intensities of light, interweaving and shining.

If you looked closely, you would find that the twinkling bright stars were faintly connected, forming four big characters.

— Cosmic Supermarket —

Standing under the starry sky, Su Xiao looked up at the sky full of stars and whispered.

— Check Balance! —

“Your current balance is -4384 yuan!”

“Warning! Warning!”

“Debts exceeding 5000 yuan will put the supermarket at risk of closing down!”

“Please make money as soon as possible!”

— Why are you in debt? Don’t you have any idea…? —

Su Xiao muttered in annoyance, but after waiting for a long time, he didn’t receive a response from the system…

Exiting the system, Su Xiao lay back on the rocking chair, thinking about ways to make money.

Just then, the bell at the door suddenly rang crisply.

“A customer is here?” Su Xiao’s eyes lit up, and he quickly stood up from the rocking chair, putting on a smiling face.

The Alaskan Malamute also jumped down from the dining table, tilting its head and looking at the door with a cute expression.

With a creak, the old and dilapidated wooden door made a harsh sound, and a tall woman in a black trench coat pushed the door and entered.

However, as soon as she entered the door, she was stunned by the scene in front of her!

What did she see?

Food!

So much food!

The thing on the table… is that steak?

Chu Ran shook her heavy head, feeling dizzy. Was she hallucinating from hunger? Did the doomsday that happened a hundred years ago not come? Was everything that happened before just a dream?

“Welcome!” Su Xiao looked at the woman in front of him with a smile, a very amiable smile!

Having a customer meant having money to earn, and having money meant being able to pay off his debts…

This was his first customer, and he couldn’t let her get away no matter what!

Chu Ran stared blankly at the dazzling array of food on the shelves, her throat constantly moving.

Then she moved her steps to the front of the shelf, reaching out her hand to slowly touch a bucket of instant noodles.

The sensation from her fingertips told her that this was not an illusion but a real existence.

“Boss, how much is this?” Su Xiao’s smile was even brighter, stretching out a hand and opening his palm, “50 yuan!”

Chu Ran’s brows furrowed slightly. Her bounty for hunting a Spirit Realm ‘killer’ was only 100 yuan…

A meal, 50 yuan!

It was a bit extravagant…

If it were normal times, she would definitely carefully consider and repeatedly weigh the pros and cons, but now, with powerful enemies behind her, what was the use of money if she lost her life?

Moreover, she was really too hungry!

“Give me a bucket! Add a sausage! How much is it in total?”

“70 yuan!”

Chu Ran no longer hesitated, took out seven special coins from her pocket, and handed them to Su Xiao.

Su Xiao happily accepted them and started boiling water!

Although 70 yuan was far from enough to alleviate the pressure of his debts, it was at least a start!

Even if the mosquito’s legs were small, they were still meat!

A moment later, a bowl of fragrant instant noodles was placed in front of Chu Ran.

Looking at the steaming instant noodles in front of her, Chu Ran swallowed hard, then she tremblingly picked up her chopsticks, picked up a noodle, and sent it into her mouth.

Instantly, a sense of satisfaction that could not be described in words filled her heart!

This was the most delicious food she had ever eaten in the past twenty years!

The upheaval a hundred years ago plunged the entire Earth into a huge crisis. The sudden darkness enveloped humanity, and although it only lasted for three short days, it became an indelible scar in everyone’s hearts.

After the darkness passed, a thick gray fog appeared in the sky. Due to the fog’s obstruction, sunlight could not shine on the earth. All crops withered and turned yellow overnight. From then on, food became humanity’s most precious resource.

After more than a decade of the starving era, researchers finally developed a synthetic energy bar containing trace elements needed by the human body. Although the taste was terrible, it at least gave humans hope to survive.

— Slurp!–

A large mouthful of noodles was sucked into her mouth, and Chu Ran repeatedly savored the deliciousness that made her a little intoxicated.

She didn’t understand why this corner of a soon-to-be-abandoned city would still have such a magical shop!

The reason she came here was entirely attracted by the light. She originally planned to see if she could borrow some food to get through the immediate difficulties. But unexpectedly, this was a paradise!

“Why don’t I remember there being a convenience store on this street?” Chu Ran wondered.

A dog’s head suddenly stretched towards the gap between her arm and thigh, and then kept rubbing back and forth on her slender thigh, making soft whimpering sounds.

No woman can refuse a fluffy toy with bright fur and a cute expression.

Chu Ran was no exception. She was so attracted by the food just now that she actually forgot that there was such a cute thing beside her!

In the end times, people are barely able to feed themselves, and this boss still has the leisure to keep pets?

A meal, from start to finish, took about a few minutes. Chu Ran contentedly put down the bowl in her hand, which was empty, not even a drop of soup was left!

“Boss, can I ask where you got this food from?”

Su Xiao revealed his signature smile, “I can’t tell you.”

Chu Ran was speechless for a moment, not expecting the other party to be so direct.

But thinking about it, it made sense. In the end times, who would tell others their survival methods?

She looked at the watch on her wrist, and it was almost five minutes since she came to the convenience store. The effect of the breath-holding pellet was also only five minutes.

When the five minutes were up, the two ‘killer’ would follow the scent and track her here. Although her condition had recovered a lot, and she was more than capable of protecting herself, she didn’t want to implicate the owner of this shop.

“Boss, any of these foods, if placed outside, would cause a frenzy of killing. It’s better to be careful!”

Chu Ran nodded to Su Xiao, then pushed the door open and disappeared into the night.

“Lord-Dog! I think we’ve got our direction wrong!”

The Alaskan Malamute’s expression froze, and then it asked suspiciously, “What’s wrong?”

Su Xiao frowned. “We haven’t grasped the right customer base!”

“What do you mean?” The Alaskan Malamute was confused.

“Who are the richest people in this world?” Su Xiao asked rhetorically.

“Of course, it’s those awakened ones!” Dog-master replied without hesitation.

Su Xiao nodded. “That’s right! Ordinary people in these end times, just surviving has become a luxury!”

“But those awakened ones are different. They get bounties for killing enemies!”

“Especially those high-level awakened ones, they must have accumulated a lot of money!”

Dog-master gradually understood, “So you want to sell these things to the awakened ones?”

“Not just these foods, as long as it’s useful to them, we can turn it into money!”

Dog-master shook its dog head, domineeringly saying: “If you ask me, there’s no need to be so troublesome, just rob one when they come!”

“Anyway, within this ten-square-meter range, even gods have to kneel down and call me daddy!”

Su Xiao was speechless, “Businessmen, naturally, must have a long-term plan!”

“If you rob a few times, you’ll scare everyone away!”

“Who would dare to come?”

“Unless…”

“Others come to rob us!” Lord-Dog’s ears immediately drooped down, obviously also agreeing with Su Xiao’s words.

“Why wasn’t that Slater tempted just now? If she had tried to snatch it away, we could have legitimately stripped her naked…cough..cough .. I mean, we would have robbed her naked and then thrown her into the supermarket system to be a waitress!” There was a hint of regret in Lord-Dog’s tone.

Su Xiao glanced at Lord-Dog, “Slayer are generally awakened ones who protect this world, and they rarely do such despicable things, but…”

“That may not be the case with the two Killer chasing her!”

In this world, there are two camps of awakened people, one is [Killers], and the other is [Slayers]!

[Killers] kill for greed, [Slayer] kill to protect.

A difference of one word can make a world of difference.

From the moment the woman entered the door, he had already known all the information about her. Just like what Lord-Dog said, as long as he was within this ten-square-meter area, he was omniscient and omnipotent!

The dog’s eyes lit up and his face was filled with excitement.

Ding-ling!

There was a crisp bell ringing at the door, and then two people in black armor walked in.
