Unheard Wishes: A Tale of Desires

Chapter 321: Plans

"One doesn't have to be a hero to save others, huh? …If fate allows it, we'd meet again." With a smile Yuta vanished from the building, her next destination was City S.

A few city blocks away, Grayfia turned to look back. Her eyes were blocked by the buildings but she could still see Yuta's figure rushing away.

'I left her alone because she didn't have any bad intentions. But, to think she'd look at her favorably after that. I suppose that was expected.' She now focused on Adam who walked past the barricade without the police stopping him.

Without an issue they reached the crowd, most humans carried out their tasks as if what was happening a few blocks away didn't affect them, and it didn't. After all, that villain overpowered the heroes so fast that they couldn't even send someone to call for an evacuation of the nearby blocks.

Thankfully he was dealt with without a problem. But, another problem arrived now.

"Hey look at that"

"A maid? Is she cosplaying?"

"No idiot look at her manners. She is so refined. It has to be a real maid!"

"Woah, that guy sure is lucky isn't he?"

"What is he a child of some association higher up? I haven't seen him before."

"Who cares? He's good-looking!"

Gossip flew across the crowd upon spotting them. Yet, it affected neither of the two in the slightest. As for the reason Adam didn't hide his presence, it was to leave a trail behind them.

'A world where heroes and villains fight… in such situation the tallest trees catch the most wind. So, that's what I have to be if I want my plan to work.' Understanding the Hero and Villain system these people had going on. Adam understood that these heroes had become some sort of celebrities in this world.

The building on his right had a billboard, on it was an ad with a Hero.

Amai Mask invites you to be the next star of the Hero Association!

The handsome man looked more like a model than a hero with his looks, but a quick search on the net and his influence was clear. Class A Rank 1. The rank was just below the top dogs of Class S. The strongest of the Heroes.

His fans swarmed the building to swoon over the billboard without giving anyone else the time of their day. So, Adam planted his foot into the world by saving those heroes from the Villain. On top of that he showcased the ability of healing as well.

'Something like that would be highly coveted. Hopefully, that girl spreads it, she should be on the stronger side of this world.' That was what he planned on doing to further his influence. Having people spread the word wasn't bad at all, because his strength was limited in this world.

As for Grayfia, the only reason she let others see her was because Adam didn't hide himself. But, this wasn't the only thing she did.

"Master, I have acquired a fitting residence for you."

"Already? Where?" He had put that task for later, but she already did it? Though he needed to know the location. After all, he needed a place that fit within his plans.

"In every major city of the country." However, Grayfia took no time to understand that.

"For real?" She nodded at his question.

While they were walking she sent her familiars to handle one of the Hero associations higher up. Through interrogation, she found out about the Association's corruption and how they used the donations for luxuries more than actually using them for a good cause. But, that didn't matter to her. All she did was take the best mansion in every city and have the ownership transferred over to them.

With hypnosis and suggestion, it didn't take substantial effort to forge documents and complete the process while leaving no traces. Looking at the hard drive she brought back, Adam felt like he could trash the Hero Association with the information alone. However, that wasn't the plan. He decided to kick back in the mansion for a bit to think further.

"You even got us all the legal documents and IDs. You did a great job." Adam said taking a seat in the lavish living room of the mansion.

"It was nothing, Master." Grayfia handed him a cup of tea, this level of task didn't deserve his praise.

"Should I get us Class S licenses making it look like a secret force for more sway in the Association? If I put the other members of the board under hypnosis or make deals with them, it would allow Master to control the entire organization." She had a clear-cut plan, but instead of putting it into practice immediately Grayfia sought his opinion first.

"There isn't a need to do that. If it is just one member then it wouldn't raise suspicion, but if you try to control the entire board someone is bound to notice, not that we need to. As for hero licenses, we can get them the normal way and reach Class S in a breeze through ability. The groundwork is already there." Adam had other plans to deal with the situation.

"I understand, Master." Thinking back on the heroes they helped, Grayfia understood his plan. Soon the Hero Association would come to their doorsteps on their own.

'If we join through their agent, it would become a more consistent story.' Even if Grayfia could insert memories in a person, she didn't have a way to affect reality with that. So, no matter how much she tries the gaps would always show up.

'This place also has some powerful people too…' Grayfia thought looking at the blue sky.

Unlike a normal day where clouds would float about, today the sky was parted in twos. She saw the clouds part with her own eyes as Adam enjoyed his tea. She felt the person who did this. He was miles away and landed on the ground after falling from the sky.

"Grayfia…" His call made her turn around, standing there he showed her a smile while closing the laptop, "Let's go and make ourselves a bit more special for the Association."

"As you wish my Master." With that, the two left for the mansion in Y City in an instant.

5:00 P.M. Y City.

"If you sign these papers, the shop will be yours officially. Please be sure to read through the documents. Not that I would try something Adam-sama." A woman in her late thirties handed several papers to Adam. He gave them a quick scan before signing them.

"Thank you for your assistance." Adam offered a hand to the lady.

"You don't need to thank me, this is my job." She shook his hand with a smile.

'Then why are you swooning over there?' The one who cleaned the table could see the woman's nostrils flaring ogling the guy. Taking a look at the man she could understand the reaction, but doing it in front of the person would make them uncomfortable for sure. She even respected that guy's mental strength to not show his disgust.

"Then I'll take my leave. If I need something else I'll contact the number you have provided." Under her boss's passionate gaze, the man left with his maid.

He came in 10 minutes ago, asked to buy a shop, found one he liked, paid in full, signed the contract and left. That was the fastest deal she had witnessed during the time she worked here.

"Man, rich guys are so good. Can't believe that he bought the best mansion in the city because he planned to stay here for a few days to set up a shop. And guess what he bought the shop later, so funny." The woman sighed wondering where she went wrong to end up with her cheap-ass husband.

"Wait boss, you mean that mansion on the C block of residential area was sold?"
