Chapter 4 Diagon Alley
Looking at the man in front of him who seemed to be able to chew him up in one bite, Lumi shivered unconsciously.
"You, you, who are you?"
Lumi kept retreating when he said this, and when he retreated to the sofa, he lay down because his legs were weak.
But even such a comfortable sofa did not make his fear dissipate.
"Rufu! Fool Rufu!! Your master is going to be eaten!"
Lumi shouted heartbreakingly.
"Oh, it looks like I scared you."
The giant flattened his mouth and looked a little aggrieved, "But I don't eat children."
He stepped back, as if to give the child in the room some space.
But this action obviously had the opposite effect.
Lumi, who was nestled on the sofa, had this scene in his mind: This giant was trying to run away, planning to smash his door frame and wall. He rushed over, stuffed himself into his mouth, chewed it, and then swallowed it in his stomach. I'm afraid there are many children in its belly.
"Ruff! You big idiot! Where have you been?!"
Lumi's fear of giants stems from stories he heard as a child.
In one sentence, it can be summarized as: if you don't sleep, you will be thrown into the street and let the giant stuff you into his mouth and eat you.
This successfully planted the seeds of fear of giants in little Lumi's heart.
Now, the sudden appearance of this tall giant succeeded in arousing his fears in the half-asleep Lumi.
The seeds planted back then have taken root and sprouted.
"Lumi?"
A voice that I seemed to have heard before came from the door.
A little boy wearing glasses walked out from the side and stood at the door.
As he blocked the giant behind the door, the fear in Lumi's heart gradually diminished. Seeing the familiar person in front of him, Lumi felt a little confused.
【Who is this person? 】
"Oh, you don't have to be afraid, Hagrid is not scary."
Seeing Lumi's fear, the boy walked up to Lumi and tried his best to comfort him.
"Who are you? Rufu! Did you get eaten, you idiot? Come and save me!"
As Harry got closer, Lumi's impression of him gradually deepened. Finally, at a critical point, the boy in front of him overlapped with a figure in his memory, and the vague memory gradually became clear because of his appearance.
Suddenly, Lumi remembered.
I think I've seen this child before. I saw him when I was walking with Rufu before, maybe at Privet Drive?
"I'm Harry Potter, you don't have to be afraid."
Harry was very happy to see Lumi gradually calming down.
"Okay kids, it's time for us to head to Diagon Alley."
Lumi's heart, which had just calmed down, started beating violently again because of Hagrid's loud voice.
Feeling Lumi on the sofa start to tremble again, Harry hurriedly explained: "Hagrid is a wizard like us, and he is also from Hogwarts."
When Lumi heard about Hogwarts, some of the fear in his heart dissipated.
[But what is idiot Ruf doing? 】
"You are from Hogwarts? What proof do you have?"
Lumi stood up from the sofa and looked at Hagrid outside the door warily.
Harry's words could only serve as evidence, but they did not make Lumi feel at ease to follow them.
"Oh, of course, it's good to be wary."
Hagrid tried to keep his voice as soft as possible, "Professor McGonagall asked me to pick you up to take you to Diagon Alley. I believe Professor McGonagall told you that someone will pick you up to take you to Diagon Alley."
After hearing the answer he didn't want to hear, Lumi had to admit that the other person was indeed from Hogwarts, even if he was repelled in his heart.
After all, he could name Professor McGonagall.
Although Lumi didn't know much about Professor McGonagall's status in the magical world, she could tell by letting herself call her professor that she probably liked this title.
It's not surprising that Lumi can call McGonagall's name, but being able to say the words "Professor McGonagall" makes Lumi believe it a little bit.
"Okay, I understand, Professor Hagrid, I'm sorry."
[Idiot Rufu, what have you been doing? 】
"No, no, I'm just the gamekeeper and keykeeper, I'm not a professor."
Hagrid waved his hands hurriedly, feeling a little surprised and disappointed at Lumi's address.
After finishing the conversation, Lumi took the luggage he had packed yesterday in his hands and followed Hagrid out of the noodle shop.
Before leaving, everyone in the store paid attention.
When he saw Rouf, Lumi kicked him mercilessly.
Rufu's eyes turned red and he apologized: "I'm sorry, master, I just wanted to stop him, but I couldn't resist his punch..."
As he spoke, Rouf also asked Lumi to look at his belly.
Lumi couldn't see anything. He was not a doctor. He turned his attention to Hagrid and saw Hagrid scratching his head apologetically.
"Hmph! Stupid... Rufu, he was knocked down with one punch, you still have to continue training!"
In front of the two Harrys, Lumi returned to the external mode again.
He expressed in very plain words that he was about to travel far away and that he would miss everyone.
However, no matter how reluctant he was to leave, Lumi would never change the path he should take. The moment he got on the subway, his life changed.
Following the tall Hagrid to the Leaky Cauldron, the two children became intensely curious and uneasy about what was about to come.
As he entered the bar, Harry Potter's name was sung by many drinkers. Almost everyone's eyes fell on Harry. Every time he took a step, the drinkers around him would reach out to shake Harry's hand.
"Ha Harry Potter."
A handsome man wearing a thick turban stood up. He was a little restrained, but he could still tell that he was happy.
"Professor Quirrell, I'm sorry I didn't see you just now."
Hagrid said hello and introduced the two of them: "This is Professor Quirrell, who teaches Defense Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts."
"Nice to meet you."
Harry held out his hand, but Quirrell raised it cautiously, his voice trembling: "Fascinating and dangerous subject, oh, but you won't have any use for it, will you, Beauport."
Hearing this, Harry thought he had been blessed and was very happy.
Lumi on the side glanced at Quirrell, said nothing, and tried to reduce his presence.
When you come to such a strange place, everyone around you looks different from those in your own store, and some even look dangerous.
If something unexpected happened, Lumi didn't believe that Hagrid could knock everyone down in the bar.
What's more, I don't have any strength now. Even if they are not wizards, a group of adults can kick me back and forth like a ball.
Too dangerous.
Alertness: 10%.
"Okay, there are still a lot of things to buy, let's go first."
As Hagrid finished speaking, he opened the way ahead, Harry was held in his arms, and Lumi hurriedly followed.
He didn't want to stay in such a dangerous place for even one second longer.
Arriving in the backyard, Lumi breathed a sigh of relief.
Although I know that there will be more things that will subvert my cognition next, but no one can relax a little now and prepare mentally for what I am about to face next.
Hagrid tapped the wall three times with his small umbrella, and the bricks began to rotate, layer by layer, like a picture scroll spread out in front of his eyes.
"Welcome to Diagon Alley."
Looking at the scene in front of him, Lumi couldn't help but feel disappointed.
Although he was mentally prepared, he thought that a huge fire dragon would rush out the moment he opened the door. He even planned where to run.
Unexpectedly, this is just a very old street.
This idea was forgotten once he entered Diagon Alley.
What an old street, this is called retro!
Lumi and Harry have been attracted by the magical scenes in the surrounding shops.
After all, whose sign can move on its own?
Come on, a moving scissors would be super cool.
Lumi has already thought of getting a similar model in his own store.
"Hagrid, how do we have the money to buy these?"
Harry asked a crucial question.
In response, Lumi patted his pocket and said with confidence: "Don't worry, I came out with one hundred thousand pounds. If I can't afford it, I can still write them a check."
"Sorry to disappoint you kid."
Hagrid turned around and patted Lumi on the shoulder. He didn't know how to comfort people and said directly: "Muggle money does not apply in the wizarding world."
"...what?"
