Ultimate Choice System: I Became The Richest!

Chapter 231: Business Class Experience

As the Thompson family boarded the plane, they were guided to the business class section. Caroline's eyes widened as she took in the luxurious surroundings. Plush seats arranged in spacious pods, soft ambient lighting, and an unmistakable air of exclusivity surrounded them. Each seat had a large entertainment screen, an adjustable footrest, and a small privacy divider. It was a stark contrast to the cramped rows of economy they were used to.

Emily gasped audibly as she skipped ahead of her family. "Mom! Dad! Noah! Look at this!" she squealed, running her hands over the buttery leather of the nearest seat. "The seats have buttons! What do they do? Can I press them?"

"Emily," Caroline said in a mix of awe and maternal authority, "let's find our seats first, then you can press all the buttons you want."

Noah smirked at his little sister's excitement, trailing behind with his hands in his pockets. His demeanor was calm, but his sharp eyes swept over the space, cataloging the details. Not bad, he thought. This is worth it.

When they reached their assigned seats, Emily immediately clambered into hers and started exploring. "Oh my gosh, look! There's a TV! And a remote! And—wait, is this a table?!" She popped open the foldable tray, then retracted it with glee. "This is so cool!"

David chuckled as he settled into his seat and leaned back. He pushed one of the buttons, and his chair reclined almost flat. "Now this is what I call traveling in style," he said, his voice tinged with wonder. "I could get used to this."

Caroline sank into her own seat with a sigh of delight. "The seats are so comfortable… It's like sitting on a cloud." She ran her hands over the armrests and looked around, still in disbelief. "I can't believe we're actually here. This is so fancy."

Emily giggled as she fiddled with the control panel on her armrest. "Look, my seat is moving!" She reclined back, then brought herself upright, repeating the motion just to see it work. "It's like a transformer chair! Noah, look!"

Noah glanced over at her, his lips curling into a smile. "Don't break it, Em. The seat's not a toy."

"I'm not breaking it! I'm just testing it," Emily shot back with a mock pout. She pulled out the provided noise-canceling headphones and slipped them over her head. "These are so soft! I feel like a princess!"

A flight attendant approached with a welcoming smile. "Good evening, Mr. and Mrs. Thompson, and young miss," she said, turning to Emily, who beamed. "Welcome aboard. Would you like a welcome drink? We have champagne, orange juice, and sparkling water."

Caroline and David exchanged a look, a little taken aback by the choices. "Uh, orange juice for us, please," Caroline said, while David nodded.

The attendant turned to Emily, who sat up straighter in her seat. "What about you, little miss?"

Emily's eyes sparkled. "Do you have apple juice?"

"Of course," the attendant said with a warm smile.

Emily clapped her hands together. "Apple juice it is! In a fancy glass, please!"

Noah chuckled softly, watching the interaction. When the flight attendant turned to him, he shook his head. "Just water for now, thanks."

As the drinks arrived, Emily inspected her glass of apple juice as if it were a rare artifact. "Wow," she whispered. "This glass is so shiny. It's like… rich people shiny."

Caroline laughed. "Emily, it's just a glass."

"But it's not just a glass, Mom," Emily said, taking a delicate sip and holding her pinky finger out. "It's a fancy glass."

David leaned back, raising his orange juice. "Here's to our first family trip in luxury," he said, clinking his glass against Caroline's.

Emily quickly joined in. "Cheers to business class!" she said, giggling as her glass met theirs.

Noah, however, remained silent, simply raising his water glass with a subtle smile. His thoughts were elsewhere, analyzing the value of RayAir's service and making mental notes about potential improvements.

A short while later, the flight attendant returned with menus. "Here are the meal options," she said, handing them out.

Caroline's eyes widened as she flipped through the luxurious menu, her hands trembling slightly with surprise. "There's a whole selection of courses here—appetizers, mains, and even an array of desserts? And… is that caviar?"

David leaned over to glance at her menu, his eyebrows shooting up. "Caviar on a plane? We're not in Kansas anymore."

Emily, on the other hand, was practically bouncing in her seat. Her small hands clutched the menu tightly as her eyes darted over the options. "Mom! Look at this! There's steak, lobster, pasta, chicken, and—wait, is this real? Ice cream and cake for dessert?"

David chuckled at his daughter's enthusiasm. "Don't forget the caviar, kiddo. Fancy, huh?"

Emily gasped dramatically, clutching her heart. "I can eat fish eggs if I want? This is officially the fanciest meal of my life."

Noah smirked, scanning his menu with a calm demeanor. "You should try it, Em. Expand your palate."

Emily squinted suspiciously at him. "Is that one of those tricks where you tell me to eat something weird and then laugh when I don't like it?"

"No tricks," Noah said, his smirk widening.

When the flight attendants came by to take their orders, each course was carefully plated and delivered like a work of art. The appetizers arrived first—a delicate combination of smoked salmon, cheese platters, and a warm bread basket. Emily nibbled on a piece of bread before gasping at the tiny dish of caviar beside it.

"This is it!" she whispered loudly, scooping a small portion onto a cracker and popping it into her mouth. Her face froze for a second before she nodded thoughtfully. "Not bad… but I think I'll stick to the bread."

Caroline laughed softly. "At least you gave it a try, sweetheart." Find exclusive stories on empire

Noah's choice of seared scallops had him nodding in quiet approval. "This is good."

When the main courses arrived, Emily's steak—juicy and perfectly cooked—stole the show. She sliced into it with a grin. "This is steak, on a plane. I've peaked in life."

David, who opted for the lobster tail, chuckled. "Enjoy it while you can, Em. Meals like this don't come around often."

When dessert was served—everything from decadent chocolate mousse to creamy tiramisu and fruit tarts—Emily looked as though she might faint from excitement. "It's too pretty to eat," she said dramatically, snapping pictures with her phone before diving in.

Her spoon clinked against the mousse as she took her first bite. Her eyes widened as she froze mid-chew. "Oh my gosh. This is what happiness tastes like."

Caroline giggled while Noah leaned back, sipping his espresso. "Don't eat too much, Em. You'll regret it."

"Never!" Emily declared, grabbing another spoonful. "I'm living my best life."

After the meal, the family explored the plane's entertainment options. Emily's seat transformed into a mini theater as she scrolled through the wide array of movies, games, and shows. "Noah! They have everything! What do I watch first? There's cartoons, action movies, and… wait, they have that new superhero movie I missed!"

"Start with the superhero one," Noah advised, adjusting his seat to recline. "You'll love it."

Emily settled in with a fluffy blanket, her small figure almost disappearing in the oversized seat. "This is officially the best day of my life," she said, muffled by the blanket.

Caroline and David shared a soft laugh, their hands clasped together as they reclined in their seats. Caroline sighed contentedly. "This is exactly what we needed."

David nodded, his voice low. "It's been a long time since we had something like this. Seeing the kids so happy makes it all worth it."

Noah glanced at his family out of the corner of his eye, a faint smile playing on his lips. He leaned back into his seat, closing his eyes briefly.

As the cabin lights dimmed and the hum of the engines became a soothing backdrop, Emily's soft snores filled the air. Caroline glanced over, watching her youngest curled up in peaceful slumber. David reached over to tuck the blanket around her, his expression tender.

Noah opened one eye, taking in the sight, before he closed them again.

...

Noah kept his eyes closed, but his rest was interrupted as his heightened senses sharpened as a muffled conversation grew clearer. The voices were coming from a few rows behind him, a man and a flight attendant engaged in a tense exchange.

"Excuse me, sir," the flight attendant's voice was low, yet firm. "I've already told you—I don't engage in such activities. Please respect my position."

The man, clearly undeterred, leaned closer, his tone sly and dripping with entitlement. "Come on, don't be so uptight. It's not like anyone's going to find out. Just a quick... arrangement. I'll make it worth your while."

There was a pause before he added, almost smugly, "$1,000. That's, what, half of your monthly income? You'd be foolish not to take it."

The flight attendant took a step back, her voice rising just slightly. "I don't think you understand, sir. I am not for sale. This conversation is over."

The man chuckled darkly. "Oh, come on, sweetheart. We could head to the toilets right now. They're spacious enough, and no one will notice. It's a win-win."

Noah's frown deepened, his patience thinning with every vile word that escaped the man's mouth.

He turned his head slightly, catching a glimpse of the interaction. The man, dressed in an expensive-looking suit, leaned casually in his seat, his body language reeking of arrogance. The flight attendant, though maintaining her professionalism, looked visibly uncomfortable as she held the tray in her hands tightly.
