Uchiha Gate: From Konoha to One Piece

Chapter 163: Mount Myoboku Offers

— — — — — —

It didn't take long for Jiraiya to arrive at the Hokage's office. He pushed the door open and walked in.

Inside, the room was bustling. Not only was Kaito present, but Uzumaki Mito, Uchiha Naori, the First and Second Hokage, Uchiha Madara, Tsunade, Orochimaru, Nara clan, and Hyuga clan representatives were all gathered.

"You're back! Got summoned to Mount Myoboku earlier, right?"

"Did they say anything interesting? Or maybe the Great Toad Sage has another one of his famous prophecies?"

Kaito was the first to speak, glancing at Jiraiya with a faint smirk. He was curious to see if the Great Toad Sage was stirring up trouble again.

At the same time, Kaito was also keeping an eye out for any potential interference from the Sage of Six Paths. He had a hunch that the Great Toad Sage might still have some kind of connection to the Sage.

After all, the Great Toad Sage could very well be one of the Sage of Six Paths' tools for monitoring the ninja world.

Then again, it didn't matter much even if that wasn't the case.

"Huh? How did you know?"

Jiraiya blinked in surprise, the words tumbling out of his mouth before he could think.

"So, there really is a new prophecy, huh?"

Everyone in the room exchanged curious glances at this revelation.

The First Hokage leaned forward with interest. "What's the new prophecy? Let's hear it!"

"Yeah, I'm curious about the Great Toad's ability to make predictions. I had no idea something like that existed," the Second Hokage added.

Uchiha Madara scoffed, crossing his arms with a smirk. "Back when we were alive, none of us ever heard about such a thing. If we had, I'd have gone straight to him for answers. Could've avoided some mistakes back then."

"Still!" Madara laughed disdainfully. "It's probably just some parlor trick to make himself seem important. The future is always unpredictable. If someone could truly foresee it, wouldn't they be invincible? And yet, I don't see this so-called Great Toad Sage ruling the world."

Hearing this, Mito and the others instinctively glanced at Kaito.

Well… they couldn't exactly deny it. Kaito himself seemed to know a suspicious amount about both the past and the future.

"Uh… The Great Toad Sage's prophecies are decent, I guess," Jiraiya said, trying to defend his mentor. Then he got down to business and started recounting his visit to Mount Myoboku, summarizing the key points for Kaito and the others.

"Oh?" Kaito raised an eyebrow in mild surprise. "A vision of Konoha uniting the ninja world in the future? Looks like the Great Toad Sage does have some insight after all."

As far as Kaito was concerned, Konoha's dominance was inevitable.

Even if other villages learned of this goal and tried to form alliances to attack Konoha, it wouldn't make a difference.

With the current strength of Konoha—especially with Kaito, Uchiha Naori, Uzumaki Mito, Madara, and the First Hokage on their side—no coalition could stop them. At most, it would cause some temporary setbacks, but the endgame was already set in stone.

"By the way…"

Kaito recalled another detail Jiraiya mentioned earlier. Apparently, Fukasaku and Shima, the two elder toads, were planning to visit Konoha in person to apologize. They also intended to present the summoning contract and sage training techniques as compensation.

With an amused smile, Kaito turned to Jiraiya. "Seems like the Great Toad Sage foresaw something pretty bad for Mount Myoboku's future, huh? Did they not tell you everything? Or are you holding back?"

Jiraiya froze, his expression shifting awkwardly. He stammered, unsure how to respond.

"Let me guess," Kaito continued, his tone almost playful. "The vision showed that if they didn't apologize and compensate us, or if they kept trying to manipulate you, things would go south between us.

"Maybe they saw a future where Konoha's foreign policies and actions put you and Mount Myoboku at odds with us. And if that happened, well, knowing my temperament, I'd probably erase you and Mount Myoboku completely."

He smirked. "That's what the Great Toad Sage saw, right? That's why they're scrambling to make peace now?"

Kaito's deductions were spot on, and Jiraiya couldn't hide his astonishment.

Swallowing hard, Jiraiya nodded. "Y-Yeah… That's more or less what happened."

"As expected of you, Hokage-sama. You figured it all out so easily," he added nervously. "It seems you're the 'variable' the Great Toad Sage warned about. No wonder they're afraid of you. So, uh… will you meet them? Accept their apology?"

Jiraiya's tone was cautious, almost pleading. Deep down, he hoped Kaito would agree. A reconciliation between Mount Myoboku and Konoha would spare him a lot of stress.

Sure, the Great Toad Sage had misled him for years, but Jiraiya had also gained immense benefits from them—sage training, for one. He wasn't too bitter… yet.

"Thoughts, everyone?" Kaito glanced around the room instead of giving an immediate answer.

"This is your call," Mito said first.

"Agreed. Whether to accept or not is up to you," Uchiha Naori added.

"Same here. You're the Hokage; decide as you see fit," the others chimed in.

"Alright then," Kaito said with a nod. Turning back to Jiraiya, he added, "Bring them here. I'll meet them."

"Thank you, Hokage-sama!"

Jiraiya bowed deeply, grateful, but his manner was slightly awkward.

"The brat from back then is the Hokage now. How time flies," he thought.

Without hesitation, he bit his finger, then swiped the blood across the palm of his other hand. Pressing his hand to the ground, he activated the summoning jutsu.

"Boom!"

Two puffs of smoke appeared and quickly dissipated, revealing two small toads, Shima and Fukasaku, in the room.

Seeing the tiny toads, Uchiha Madara and the others couldn't hide their disappointment.

"HAHAHA"

"That's it? These are the so-called Great Toad Sages who can predict the future? Ridiculous!" Madara sneered.

Fukasaku: "..."

Shima: "..."

Hearing this, the two toads were instantly angered, ready to retort and defend Mount Myoboku's honor. But when they saw who spoke—Uchiha Madara—they quickly shut their mouths.

They weren't about to pick a fight with this guy.

Years ago, during one of their rare visits to the ninja world to buy supplies, they'd caught sight of Madara in action.

This guy was a walking disaster. If they dared to talk back, who knew if he'd summon Susanoo and flatten them into toad pancakes?

"Um, these two aren't the Great Toad Sage," Jiraiya hurriedly explained. "They're Fukasaku and Shima, two senior sages of Mount Myoboku."

"As for the Great Toad Sage, well, he's... too old. Nearly a thousand years! He doesn't move around much anymore."

"And his size? Way too big for this place!"

"Currently, all matters of Mount Myoboku are managed by these two sages, so they've been sent as representatives. It's definitely not a sign of disrespect!"

Shima and Fukasaku nodded in agreement, then bowed to Kaito.

"Shima and Fukasaku of Mount Myoboku greet Lord Hokage!"

"We're here on behalf of the Great Toad Sage to apologize for any past misunderstandings and offenses involving Jiraiya. We hope to strengthen the bond between Mount Myoboku and Konoha."

"To show our sincerity, we're willing to offer Konoha the summoning contract of Mount Myoboku, so your village can choose worthy candidates to sign the contract and receive our guidance."

"Additionally, we'd like to share the training method for Sage Mode."

"That said, we must clarify something beforehand."

"Sage Mode training is extremely dangerous. It's best conducted at Mount Myoboku with the aid of our special toad oil and under our guidance. That's the safest way."

"Moreover, not everyone is suited for Sage Mode. It requires a certain level of natural talent."

"We believe Lady Tsunade and Lord Orochimaru are already aware of this."

They glanced at Tsunade and Orochimaru, who were present as well.

Hearing this, Madara and the others exchanged glances, their reactions mixed.

Tsunade rolled her eyes at the two toads and said, "Yes, it does require talent."

"It's mainly about mindset. You need to completely calm your mind and blend into nature."

"As for chakra levels or control, those are secondary concerns."

"Orochimaru and I are too smart for our own good. Our thoughts are always racing, so we can't quiet our minds enough to sync with nature. That's why we couldn't learn it."

"But that was then!" she added smugly.

"Thanks to Kaito, this won't be a problem much longer!"

Tsunade grinned and shot a challenging look at Jiraiya.

"Jiraiya, I'll master Sage Mode within a year. Perfect Sage Mode, mind you! Let's see how cocky you'll be then!"

"And when I do, I'll use it to thrash you—no, ten times over!"

She clenched her fist, clearly holding a grudge.

She'd never forgotten how Jiraiya used his Sage Mode to tease and taunt her and Orochimaru over the years.

"Uh... Tsunade, can we not compare?" Jiraiya said with a bitter smile, trying to avoid the challenge.

At the same time, he glanced at Kaito, silently wondering if Tsunade was telling the truth. Could Kaito really help her and Orochimaru master Sage Mode?

If so, could he get Kaito's help to perfect his own Sage Mode?

His current version wasn't perfect, leaving him with obvious toad-like features whenever he entered Sage Mode. It hurt his image more than he cared to admit, which was why he avoided using it unless absolutely necessary.

If Kaito could help Tsunade, it wasn't impossible. After all, Kaito was a genius—a mysterious, almost otherworldly genius.

Even techniques like the Flying Thunder God, which Tsunade and others weren't suited for, had been mastered under Kaito's guidance.

"Not a chance, Jiraiya!" Tsunade said with a sly smile, cracking her knuckles.

"This time, I'm going to pay you back for all those years of teasing!"

"..."

"Tsunade's not the only one," Orochimaru chimed in, licking his lips and narrowing his eyes at Jiraiya with a mischievous grin.
