Chapter 82: Chapter 82 Kaelion vs Rin 3
They clashed like natural disasters.
Kaelion's mouth opened first, breathing out a wide arc of dark blue flame, his body surging with power. Rin twisted aside, the fire licking past him, scorching the ground. Kaelion's body was enhanced, faster, harder, nearly impossible to push back, but still not as dense as Rin's monstrous physique. Still, Rin could feel something off.
Poison.
Every blow, every breath, Kaelion's power carried a venomous sting. It wasn't killing him, but it slowed him. Distracted him. And in a fight like this, that was dangerous.
Kaelion swung again, another blast of fire crashing forward.
But when the flames cleared..
Rin was gone.
Kaelion's eyes narrowed, scanning the room...where?
A snap echoed.
Smack.
A tail slammed across his face. He grabbed it on instinct, eyes burning. Rin.
Before Kaelion could throw him, Rin's body shifted, bones cracking, muscles expanding. His armor groaned but didn't break as he towered upward, his full dragon form exploding to life. Horns curled from his skull. White scales glistened like ivory steel. His mouth opened, and a jet of searing white fire punched Kaelion across the factory, sending him crashing through steel beams.
Kaelion roared and transformed in kind.
Now two giants stood, twisted, horned, scaled, monstrous. Their faces no longer human looking, their wings tearing through the air, tails whipping across the floor, voices guttural.
Rin was burning. Not with rage ,purpose.
He lunged, claws dragging through metal as he chased Kaelion across the chamber. Kaelion fired again. Rin answered with his own flame, and when the two blasts met, they tore the air apart. The walls around them evaporated, stone turning to vapor. Far off, a group of nobles who had dared watch from the cliffs vanished in the heat. Screams rang out. The rest fled in panic.
Outside, Kaelion tackled Rin through the wall. They crashed into the open air, spiraling. Rin hit the ground hard, slid back, then rose, angry. He activated the Dragon Seal and Tyrant Echo in rapid succession. It didn't bring Kaelion down… but Rin didn't need that.
Even tiny advantages mattered now.
Kaelion formed a circle of glowing energy swords, which floated like fangs above Rin before slicing downward in waves. Rin dodged, but three connected. They didn't pierce, but they hit the same spot, again and again.
The blows didn't break armor… but they shook everything beneath.
Rin's balance faltered.
Kaelion saw it.
He kicked Rin full-force, sending him flying across the mountainside, blood streaking the ground.
Both of them were bleeding, panting, slower now,but the fight wasn't over.
Kaelion advanced.
Rin barely had time to steady himself before another wave of energy swords rained down. He ducked low, slid across gravel, and deflected one with the edge of his wing. Another grazed his thigh, peeling armor but not puncturing.
Still, the repeated impacts were wearing on him. His joints throbbed. His vision flickered.
Kaelion appeared in front of him in a blink, swinging a heavy two-handed strike. Rin raised his arms, blocked it,but his legs buckled slightly under the weight.
Kaelion smirked.
"You're slowing."
Rin spat blood. "You're repeating yourself."
He shoved upward with all his strength, throwing Kaelion back.
Then Rin dashed forward, claws raking across Kaelion's torso. Sparks flew as scales met metal. Kaelion roared, slamming a fist into Rin's cheek. The blow twisted Rin's head, but he didn't fall.
He answered with a brutal uppercut, his knuckles cracking against Kaelion's jaw with enough force to shake the mountain beneath them. Kaelion staggered, one knee dipping.
Rin didn't let up.
He tackled his brother into the cliffside, punching again and again, flames leaking from the edges of his mouth as he struck. Kaelion growled and twisted them both, slamming Rin into the dirt with a shockwave of displaced air.
They rolled, wrestling like beasts, horns locked, claws slicing.
Blood hit the ground in thick splashes.
Neither spoke now. No room for insults. Only breath, and survival, and fire.
Kaelion finally managed to grip Rin's wing joint and twist. Rin hissed in pain, elbowed him in the gut, then surged up,spinning midair, his tail slamming Kaelion into a rock pillar with enough force to crack it in half.
Kaelion rose slowly, panting, flames leaking from his nose.
They locked eyes again.
And then..
The factory screamed.
