Chapter 3: 003. Sengoku Is a Little Bit Broken
Sengoku Is a Little Bit Broken
The contrast between the two worlds was simply too absurd.
If it weren't for the familiar faces and locations, people in both worlds would have thought they were looking at completely different realities.
The original One Piece world was the first to react.
"What the hell is this?! A banquet? Barbecue? Singing and dancing?! Don't tell me this is your version of the Summit War!"
"If this is a war, please let me die there instead!"
"They seriously called all the Marines over for a party? Aren't they afraid the Pirates will attack?!"
"I'm so jealous! We're both at the peak, but why is ours a bloody war while theirs is a top-tier party?!"
The Marines in the original world stared at their bloodied uniforms and wounded bodies. Then they looked at the other world—where their counterparts were holding beers in one hand and barbecue skewers in the other.
Their morale shattered completely.
"This fight… I can't do it anymore."
There was no pain without comparison. And right now, they were feeling every bit of it.
Meanwhile, Luffy was completely dumbfounded.
In this world, he had become a Marine Admiral?
"That's impossible! I promised Shanks I would find a crew as great as his, become the Pirate King, and return the straw hat to him!"
Wait.
"Where's my straw hat?"
Only now did Luffy notice—his alternate self was wearing a Marine cap instead of his iconic straw hat.
And something else was missing.
"Where's my crew?!"
His friends were nowhere to be seen. And more importantly—why did his other self have white hair?!
"No way. Absolutely not."
Luffy refused to believe it.
His dream was freedom. He wanted to be the freest man on the seas.
Becoming a Marine? That was impossible.
Even his grandfather's Iron Fist of Love couldn't shake his resolve, so there was no way he was brainwashed.
Then how did I end up walking the Marine path in that world?!
Sengoku was equally confused.
He turned to Garp, his face darkened.
"What's going on with your family?!"
"You refused the Admiral position because you didn't want the responsibility, yet in that world, you took it?"
"And what's with your son?! When did Dragon become a Marine?"
"And Luffy?! How did you raise your grandson?! You were supposed to produce two Admiral-level talents, yet you gave us a Pirate Captain and a Revolutionary Leader?!"
Garp's eyes widened.
He knew his son and grandson too well.
They were simply not the kind of people who could be forced into Marine ranks.
Who had the ability to completely change their fates?
Before he could answer, Garp suddenly noticed something else and gasped.
"Sengoku! Look at Kizaru!"
Sengoku turned his gaze and nearly fell off the execution platform.
"Marine Model Worker?"
"And… Re-elected for 10 years?!"
He turned to the Kizaru of his world—who was currently slacking off at the battlefield's edge, pretending to be engaged in the fight.
Sengoku almost coughed up blood.
This was not the kind of person who could ever be a "model worker"!
Meanwhile, Kizaru himself stared blankly at the screen.
"In that world… I'm a model worker?"
A rare serious expression crossed his face.
"I'll kill you."
There was no way he would ever work that hard. Even if someone pointed a gun at his head, he wouldn't lift a finger beyond the bare minimum.
His alternate self must have severe brain damage.
On the other side of the world, Kaido's expression twisted as he saw his name appear in a certain ranking.
"Top 10 Most Inspirational Figures?"
"I RAISE THIS DAMN CHILD?!"
He immediately spat out a mouthful of blood.
Meanwhile, his subordinate Jack, ever the fool, stared at the screen in amazement.
"Boss Kaido! I never expected we and the Big Mom Pirates to be family in that world!"
"No wonder Katakuri looks so much like you!"
A long silence followed.
Then—
BANG!
Kaido's mace slammed into Jack's head, knocking out one of his tusks.
His bounty immediately plummeted by 50%.
Shanks, watching from afar, burst into laughter.
Kaido turned red with rage.
Without another word, the two immediately resumed their fight.
Meanwhile, Whitebeard—the supposed star of the original Summit War—stood there, frowning.
"Where am I in that world?"
Marco, ever the strategist, quickly analyzed the situation.
"Dad! This is a golden opportunity to attack Marine Headquarters! Why aren't the big-name pirates in that world making their move?"
Whitebeard narrowed his eyes.
"That means there's something in that world that makes even pirates afraid."
Marco gasped.
"Dad… you mean the reason why that world turned out so different?"
Whitebeard nodded.
A single variable must have completely altered the fate of their world.
And they needed to find out what it was.
In the "party world," the Marines couldn't understand why the other world was still fighting.
"What's so serious about fighting Whitebeard? The Marines over there are way too weak."
Sengoku snorted.
Garp, however, was furious.
"Where's that bastard Dragon?! Didn't he become a Marine in this world?!"
His voice grew louder.
"And Luffy! Why the hell did you become a pirate in that world?!"
Garp clenched his fists.
"My family should be full of great Marines! But instead… "
His face turned red with rage.
"How did you educate them?! Where's their family discipline?! Where's their ideological awareness?! Where are those two bastards?! I'll break their legs!"
Meanwhile, Kizaru leaned back, uninterested.
"I don't even want to watch my alternate self anymore. Judging by his performance, I wouldn't be surprised if he was an undercover agent. I say we arrest him immediately and conduct a full investigation."
Luffy, now an Admiral in the party world, frowned.
"I never thought I could fall so low in another world."
He shook his head, his face full of disappointment.
"Someone must have led me astray."
Then, with full confidence, he added:
"If I had met Commissar Ron from the start, I never would have taken such a detour. I wouldn't have been so weak."
At this moment—both worlds were locked in deep thought.
Through the massive screen, they could observe each other.
And now—
they had too many questions.
"Why is their world like this?!"
"Why is ours so different?!"
The desire to understand burned in everyone's hearts.
Then, someone suddenly remembered—
"That's right! We can send barrage comments!"
Both Sengokus, in both worlds, snapped their fingers at the exact same time.
And just like that—
the battle of opinions between two realities began.
