Turn Off the Aim Hack!

Chapter 2

Four hours later.

Inaring’s total record: 10 matches, 3 wins, 7 losses.

Naturally, her tier dropped.

From Master 4 to Master 5.

“Haaah…”

– Let’s all press X to pay respects.

– Paying respects.

– Paying respects.

– Paying respects.

– It’s warm in here. She was just crushed.

– Inaring, good job?

– Are you insane?

“Ugh… No, seriously! Does this even make sense?”

Is it really normal to face Charge Knights in all 10 rounds? However, since she played during a weekday, at a time when not many people were online, it wasn’t entirely unreasonable. But still, didn’t I team up with her in about 3 matches?

Let’s have a drink~

“Ah, seriously. Haaaaa… Ah!”

That was when it happened.

Inaring suddenly seemed to have a brilliant idea and started speaking.

Click! Click! Click! Click! Click! Click!

And then came the rapid clicking of the mouse.

The reason was simple—she was repeatedly clicking my username in the chat window to send friend requests.

“Friend request?”

This was far too predictable. I could already guess what Inaring was thinking. It had happened before.

I immediately accepted the friend request.

“Done!”

The moment she finished, Inaring invited me to a group chat, and I accepted it.

[Charge Knight] : ?

“Let’s go!”

Ding!

Then Inaring naturally started a match.

Needless to say, chaos erupted in the chat window.

-hahahahahahaha

-hahahahahaha

-hahahahahaha

-This girl has submitted! Hahahahahaha

-Inaring… how… how disgraceful…

“It’s wise! The weak submitting to the strong is a natural progression! I just want to be carried too!”

-This girl, you’ve abandoned human dignity!

-Inaring… following base instincts… you’ve become an animal!

“Go! If you have something to say, win against Mr. Charge Knight first!”

Inaring… After losing 7 matches in 4 hours… you’ve become quite disgraceful… I can understand her feelings, but this seems a bit problematic…

[Charge Knight] : Hey, girl.

“Heheh. Yes, Master~”

[Charge Knight] : It’s good that you’re teaming up, but it looks like we can only play one round.

“What?! Why?”

[Charge Knight] : Look at your score.

Currently, Inaring’s tier is Master 5.

And my current tier is Master 1.

[Charge Knight] : If I win one match, I’ll be Grandmaster 5.

“…”

Inaring’s face suddenly went blank, and her inner thoughts spilled out from that vacant expression.

“Should I forfeit?”

-hahahahahaha

-This girl’s inner thoughts are so transparent! Hahahahahaha

hahahahahahahaha

hahahahahaha

“No, look how your score has been climbing up and up until we hit the rank-up match!”

-Inaring’s laughable situation, epic!

-Epic

-Epic!

-Epic!

[Charge Knight] : Epic (Note: Meaning ‘extremely disgraceful’)

“S—n of a B—h!!”

-hahahahahahaha

-hahahahahaha

-hahahahahahaha

-hahahahahaha

Ah, indeed, Inaring is the most fun when teased.

There are a few streamers out there with this kind of talent.

The skill to curse without actually being scary.

I think people like them simply enjoy the way they broadcast.

I chuckled and typed into the chat.

[Charge Knight] : Even if you can’t tank, you’re still at level 3 as a dealer, so we might be able to work it out.

“What, do you know how to deal damage?”

[Charge Knight] : Yeah.

“What can you do?”

[Charge Knight] : Webber.

“So, instead of being a sniper, you’re going to replicate what White Spam does?”

Oh… yeah… because I am the White Spam.

Ding-

“Alright, let’s see how you do after this match.”

We were chatting idly when the match started.

Alright, I’ve had enough fun today. Let’s focus on boosting Inaring’s score now.

It was time to go all out.

* * *

The match went smoothly, and we emerged victorious.

Actually, while a Time Sorcerer is a counter for Paladins when they’re on the opposing team, they make for a great combination when on the same one.

We immediately moved on to the next match, and this time I decided to play as a dealer.

“Whoosh—Are you really that good?”

[Charge Knight] : Let me try being like White Spam.

“No, you need to be better than him. That guy specializes only in sniping.”

Ugh… Hmm…

Though I wanted to refute that, it’s true, so I had nothing to say.

Indeed, my Webber’s skills are specialized only in sniping.

The Webber’s skill involves firing sticky threads, like spider webs, which immobilize opponents for 1.5 seconds. After immobilizing them with a left-click thread, a lethal headshot follows with a projectile from a right-click.

As you can tell from this explanation, Webber is not exactly a hero that requires precise aim.

But, thinking about it,

Hit-scan vs projectiles –

There are two types of attack methods in time clicking: hit-scan and projectiles. Hit-scan weapons deal damage immediately upon contact, while projectiles take time to travel. Webber’s attack method is projectiles, which require hitting the target after a delay.

So following the orthodox method—immobilizing the enemy with left-click threads at close range, then landing a headshot with a projectile—it’s unlikely to work flawlessly.

When others use hit-scan weapons to shoot, you approach them at close range—

It’s practically suicidal behavior.

That’s also why this character is non-mainstream.

Thus, most people using Webbers rely more on the projectile-based right-click instead of the left-click threads, finding it advantageous when enemies come close. Though left-click threads can be useful if enemies do get close, that’s rare in higher tiers.

Would any enemy approach if there’s a Webber around?

It’s better to snipe from afar with hit-scan weapons.

Hmm…

Still, let me give it a try since Inaring trusts me.

It’s not like there’s no way; I moved toward the enemy base.

“Hey!”

[Charge Knight] : Can you trust me for once?

“Seriously, you’ll die if you go there.”

[Charge Knight] : I’ll take one with me before dying.

Alright, let’s give it a shot.

Our target is the healer.

Lurk near enemy-held rooms and aim for the healer in their base.

Fortunately, it’s a base control map, and we’re on defense.

Though it feels slightly overambitious, considering my aim, this strategy seems reasonable.

A player with subpar aim firing projectiles from our base would be less effective, so brainstorming strategies might be better.

This is my approach to playing time clicks—strategy and judgment.

I’ve reached Master level thanks solely to these qualities.

“At least I shouldn’t harm my teammates.”

Let’s swap strategies—take one enemy with me if I die.

Will this method help our team enough?

The countdown began:

3

2

1

[The game has started.]

The game began as soon as the countdown ended, and I waited in hiding.

“Not yet.”

When both teams faced each other, the opponents’ focus shifted entirely toward our team, creating opening moments to target their backline healer.

“Right now…”

I took the opportunity when the opposing healer, the Time Sorcerer, began to reload.

Shaaaak!

I sprayed the webbing from behind, aiming at the time sorcerer.

Of course, the Time Sorcerer tried to react, self-healing and shooting at me, but my immobilization was faster.

GAACK!

Immediately after, I fired a headshot with a right-click.

Ding!

A clear headshot sound.

The floating kill notification:

[Charge Knight] > [lllllllllll]

One eliminated!

Even if I die, it’s fine since I’ve already taken one out. But I’ll try to make as much trouble as possible.

Naturally, in enemy territory, returning alive is unlikely.

As expected, 5 enemies were charging toward me.

There’s no chance to survive a swarm attack.

But…

“Uh?”

Something’s strange…

What’s going on?

I felt an unusual sensation; my head cleared, my vision expanded, and my senses seemed heightened.

Then it happened.

A moment that should have been brief felt as though time had slowed.

It wasn’t just a sensation—time had genuinely slowed down.

The enemies charging toward me seemed to move in slow motion.

My body also felt sluggish.

‘This is…’

However, there was only one part of me that moved freely.

My right arm and hand gripping the mouse.

Only this part of my body moved quickly in this slowed-down world of time.

And my reaction was instinctive.

Gripping the mouse, I moved it.

In this slowed-down world,

My aim was precise on the closest enemy—the dealer Rogue in front.

I immediately directed my projectile toward the rogue’s head.

Bang! Ding!

One shot.

From such close range, the projectile’s effect was akin to a hit-scan.

The Rogue’s health, a solid 120, instantly disappeared.

I fired again, another shot.

Bang! Ding!

[Charge Knight] > [SuperSneaky]

[GalaxySlicer999] > [Charge Knight]

As I died, during that brief moment, I managed to take out one more enemy.

My team’s reaction was understandably dramatic.

[DrinkWater] : Oh, what is this Webber?

[DDustpowder] : Nice Webber

“Nice! Charge Knight!”

Our team loved it, and even Inaring was jumping with excitement.

But for me, the one who caused all the commotion, I couldn’t help but be bewildered.

“What is this…?”

Why did time feel like it slowed down?
