Try to save the world, Transmigrator!

Chapter 116 - Are You Leaving?

"We believe that when others receive salvation and joy through our help, the smiles they reveal are surely those of happiness, surely our greatest reward."

"Remember, helping others does not mean sacrificing everything of your own. We should save others within limits. This is being responsible for ourselves, and also responsible for those we love."

"We ourselves are but a single candle in this universe. The light we emit may be faint, perhaps only capable of illuminating a small area. But with this light, we can give people the motivation and hope to live on."

"Pray to God, the God who symbolizes new life and miracles, who will save all beings trapped in suffering."

"Achoo!"

Xin Yu sneezed. Rubbing his nose, he found it somewhat strange. Logically speaking, given his current physical condition, he shouldn't be having physiological reactions like sneezing.

Xin Yu thought for a moment, then closed his eyes, his consciousness sinking into his body. Subsequently, the Nascent Soul residing in his dantian opened its eyes.

Xin Yu's Nascent Soul, compared to those described in cultivation novels as resembling a childhood version of oneself, was rather more peculiar.

Although Nascent Soul Xin Yu did indeed resemble Xin Yu from his childhood in appearance, in other aspects, there were some... slight differences.

It possessed two pairs of arms. One pair resembled those of a human infant, white as jade and tender pink, as if newly born. The other pair was withered and shrunken, like those of a desiccated corpse, formed after being air-dried for many days.

Three prismatic wings also sprouted from its back. These wings varied in length, thickness, and fineness, rotating much like the hour, minute, and second hands of a clock face.

Atop its head was a halo, the color of which was a dull gray. And within the halo, where it should have been a hollow structure, now coiled an extremely tiny, black hole-like purple sphere. Within that purple sphere, a cold and unfeeling eye seemed to be observing everything around it.

Nascent Soul Xin Yu opened its eyes, gazing at its internal space with a pair of eyes that had white sclera and red pupils.

Amidst this chaos, a mirror suddenly materialized before the little Nascent Soul figure. Xin Yu looked at his Nascent Soul's appearance. Though it wasn't the first time he had seen it, no matter how he looked, this Nascent Soul's form was highly abnormal!

He truly was a strange talent. First, he had transformed a perfectly good cultivation method into a bizarre technique for cultivating Honkai energy.

Subsequently, he was infected by Void Power, and during his Foundation Establishment, he constructed a strange cultivation power from the forces of Void and Honkai.

And thereafter, through the accumulation of long ages, over 200 years, Xin Yu had allowed the powers of Void and Honkai to completely merge and undergo a qualitative change, simultaneously incorporating the power of spacetime, enabling him to condense his Golden Core.

This Nascent Soul was even stranger, having metamorphosed from a combination of multiple Path energies, spacetime power, and many more indescribable things after he achieved enlightenment of his true self and battled and fused within the consciousness space.

Although this Nascent Soul appeared strange, its combat strength was quite formidable. As long as one ignored this somewhat evil god-like demeanor, there was no problem.

After Xin Yu silently perceived for a while using the power of time, he finally understood why he had sneezed just now.

It turned out that among the twenty-four people he had healed, one had developed an extremely strong faith in him and, somehow, through a prayer, had established a connection with him.

Even though he and the other person were not currently in the same universe, he had once existed in the universe where the other person resided. Therefore, when that person prayed and believed, his past self would act as a relay station, connecting to his present self.

Simply put, the other's prayers and faith would traverse the power of spacetime to reach his past self. And since his past self had already received the prayers and faith, it meant his present self would inevitably become aware of these prayers and faith.

Using the power of time, Xin Yu saw that person in the past who was praying. He had initially just intended to look, without any plans to act. However, he suddenly noticed a grand gaze, looking back at him through the praying person, through the power of time.

And once he noticed that gaze, he naturally saw the owner of that gaze. The instant he saw the other party, inexplicable knowledge flooded Xin Yu's mind, and that knowledge was precisely the record of the other's identity.

"HooH, the Aeon of Equilibrium."

Xin Yu met this Aeon's gaze. If his past self lacked the qualification to directly face an Aeon, then his present self, having condensed a Nascent Soul... although the essence of this Nascent Soul was bizarre beyond measure, his life level had definitely undergone a massive advancement, granting him the qualification to face an Aeon directly.

The two merely looked at each other for a brief moment before the Aeon inexplicably faded away. Xin Yu didn't understand what the other party intended to express, but that person (Jinyu) had now been noticed. If he didn't offer some help, his future life would probably be very difficult.

Using the other's faith as a coordinate, Xin Yu sent a blessing to him along the veins of time.

That blessing was more like a form of permission, an authority allowing the other to use the Imaginary Energy of the Path to interfere with time.

"Use this power, within your means, to help those you can help."

"Remember, only what is within your means. Sacrificing without limits will only hurt those who have always loved you."

"Even if you don't help others, living a peaceful day, happily and without doing bad deeds, is also a reward for me."

Jinyu opened his eyes. He slowly stood up. As he did so, his figure fluctuated—sometimes withered and shrunken, like an old man on the verge of death; sometimes tall and straight, a youth in his prime; sometimes tender and small, like a newborn just learning to walk.

Finally, he returned to the present time, to his current state.

He once again bowed his head reverently towards the front and then recited.

"Jinyu will definitely not fail your trust."

...

Xin Yu lay on a recliner, flipping through a book in his hands. He was reading a famous work, telling the story of a mentally ill person who, appearing utterly foolish to others, imitated a knight and charged at windmills.

The door was pushed open, and a beautiful young matron with long white hair walked in. She looked at Xin Yu, who was reading on the recliner, and then at Kiana, who was also engrossed in a book nearby.

For some reason, she felt that her daughter seemed to have undergone a tremendous change. Though she didn't know if this change was for the better or worse, the current scene looked very reassuring.

It evoked a sense of comfort and tranquility, the kind one feels after returning home from a long period of being busy.

"Mommy!"

Little Kiana noticed Cecilia entering. Putting her book aside, she ran over happily and hugged her mother.

Cecilia smiled and picked up her daughter, then looked at Xin Yu, who had put down his book and stood up. She said, "Thank you."

"You're welcome. I, too, have gained much from this companionship."

"Are you... leaving?"

"Mhm."

"...Can you not go?"
