Chapter 440: The Exploding Screen_2
The rest area was left with only Chu Mo, while the entire shooting hall gathered at least nearly a hundred people. These people each had a clear division of labor and their own tasks to attend to. Chu Mo watched the bustling crowd and still felt a sense of envy.
Not long ago, he too was like them, opening his eyes each day to the hustle and bustle of life.
As time ticked by and soon reached the early hours of the morning, someone delivered supper. By then, Qin Zixuan had finished her work. She brought a cup of coffee to Chu Mo and then the two of them patiently waited.
Another two hours passed, and when the chief director Lin Hua loudly said, "That's a wrap!" the entire shooting scene immediately erupted with excited cheers, and everyone felt a long sigh of relief.
From three in the afternoon until two in the morning, the filming lasted for a total of eleven hours; using eleven hours to shoot a music video was also a tremendous challenge.
Chu Mo rose from the rest area. His eyelids were heavy with fatigue and without much small talk or formalities, after Qin Zixuan expressed their thanks to everyone, he left with a thoroughly exhausted Yu Junjun.
As it was late into the night, the starry sky gleamed above. When they stepped out of the Shi Yuan Building, a breeze swept away much of their tireness. Several dozen bodyguards were still diligently standing guard around them. Seeing the long-haired woman exhausted, Chu Mo didn't want to delay her rest, so he promptly arranged for someone to send her home.
After watching the BMW drive off, Chu Mo also got into the back seat of his Maybach. As the long convoy merged into the traffic, a day's busyness finally came to an end.
He returned to the villa at two forty in the morning, barely able to keep his eyes open. Chu Mo fell straight asleep; the next day, when he awoke, it was already one in the afternoon.
Even after sleeping for over ten hours, Chu Mo still felt utterly exhausted. Had it not been for his stomach rumbling, he might have slept straight through to the evening. After brushing his teeth and washing up, he skipped breakfast and ate lunch instead. Once his stomach felt warm, he finally felt a bit more spirited.
He went to the living room and picked up his notebook again because yesterday's shooting had given him a lot of inspiration. And now was the time when his inspiration was bursting. Once he became immersed in his writing, he even felt a sense of losing himself.
...
Days passed by, and in those few days, Chu Mo met up once with Yu Junjun. The two had a Western meal together, then watched a ballet performance at the grand theater. According to the long-haired girl, she had her fill of being a star all at once and would never dream of being one again.
On the fourth day, the post-production of the music video was finally completed under the supervision of Qin Zixuan.
Qin Zixuan brought the completed music video to Chu Mo right away and naturally, Chu Mo also invited the female protagonist Yu Junjun to watch it together.
The sun shone brightly that day. As the new year was approaching, Emperor's Mansion Villa Number One had been thoroughly cleaned. This was Yu Junjun's first visit here and similarly, she was the first girl Chu Mo had actively invited over. As a result of Chu Mo's formality, all the maids and servants were on their highest alert.
The twelve maids of Villa Number One followed Chu Mo, eagerly greeting the arrivals. Hearing that Yu Junjun liked fresh flowers, the butler Danny also prepared flowers and green plants in the living room, filling the entire ten-thousand square meter courtyard of Villa Number One with blossoms.
Chu Mo received the long-haired girl with the most solemn of protocols and even brought out the limited supply of Spirit Rhyme Tea from his home to entertain her.
"I wasn't sure what you liked, so I just had the chef whip up some desserts. Please make yourself at home and if there's anything you need, feel free to ask."
Host and guest settled down, the maids served fragrant tea, and the slightly flushed Yu Junjun said with some restraint:
"There's no need to be so formal, you're making me feel embarrassed!"
Seeing the shyness on the long-haired girl's face, which added to her alluring and appealing demeanor, Chu Mo liked her even more. He replied with a beaming smile:
"I've said it before, just feel at home...!"
Seeing the girl across him slightly purse her lips, Chu Mo immediately changed the subject:
"The final cut of the music video we shot a few days ago is ready, so I wanted to watch it with you first. According to Director Lin, the quality of this MV definitely matches up to those of top-tier superstars, and it would suffice as the main track for an album release.
Furthermore, Director Lin said you have a lot of potential, and if you're willing, he plans to offer you the role of the leading lady in his next film."
The Director Lin whom Chu Mo mentioned is Lin Hua, the top-notch director in Hua Country's entertainment industry, who even holds a place in Hollywood. For any newcomer, to land a lead role in his movie is undoubtedly a skyrocketing opportunity.
Such an opportunity, which countless people yearn for even to the point of desperation, seemed superfluous to the long-haired girl.
With a slight shake of her head, Yu Junjun spoke with a face full of emotion:
"Before, I just thought being a big star was glamorous, and I would be admired by many. But this time, just shooting a MV nearly cost me half my life. It's the first time I've truly realized how tough it is to be a star. Just getting recognition from Director Lin is satisfying enough for me; as for playing the leading lady, please spare me from that."
Chu Mo was just casually asking. Naturally, he didn't want the girl he fancied to become some big star, so he swiftly moved past the topic. With a gentle breath, Chu Mo smiled and said:
"Then let's fully appreciate Miss Yu's masterpiece right now!"
As his words fell, a staff member immediately adjusted the equipment. This time, they were not viewing the video on a laptop, but using far more advanced equipment. Once the staff had set up the device and Chu Mo nodded, the lights in the entire hall were turned off. The bodyguards also closed the doors to the hall, and in an instant, the room plunged into darkness.
Just then, the large background wall in front became bright.
The next moment, a boundless ocean appeared on the screen, and at the horizon, a golden sunrise was slowly ascending.
With the sound of the waves reaching their ears, Chu Mo, who was originally smiling, gently put down his teacup. As he quietly appreciated the majestic scene before him, he couldn't help but hold Shi Yuan Entertainment in even higher regard.
He had been on site for the entire MV shoot and knew that no one had actually gone to the sea. The scenery before them was all created by post-production special effects. As the camera panned, the golden sun had slowly risen halfway into the sky, when, abruptly, a dense cluster of black dots appeared at the far end of the view.
Chu Mo glanced out of the corner of his eye at Yu Junjun beside him. When he saw the girl completely immersed in the scene, not even blinking, a slight smile curled on his lips. And at that moment, Chu Mo's gaze returned to the screen, only to be surprised to see the camera zooming in. Amidst the billowing sea and drifting clouds, a multitude of colossal fish were slowly leaping into view.
Chu Mo's normally placid expression revealed a hint of seriousness for the first time. As his eyes slightly widened, the camera moved closer again, and at the moment when the sky-filling fish flew by, there was a stunning figure on the narrow coastline, gently lifting her face to greet the rising sun, with arms slowly spreading, accompanied by the fish leaping overhead.
His heart unconsciously began to beat more slowly, and amidst Chu Mo's solemn expression, the entire scene froze on the breathtaking beauty of the long-haired girl.
The rising golden sunrise,
The boundless ocean,
The fish soaring through the sky,
And that girl, whose presence was refreshing to the soul.
All these elements combined to form a picture that could ease anyone's spirit.
