Chapter 2
Chapter 2 002. Advising the Harem Male Lead to Be Loyal and Responsible
Ning Chu was startled awake by the noise in the dormitory.
He opened his sleepy eyes, gazing at the mottled ceiling of the dorm, with the sound of Zhang Shaoqing cursing fiercely in his ear and Wang Jie furiously clicking away at his game.
He had a rather strange dream.
His mood wasn’t ruined by the noise; instead, the images from his dream flashed through his mind rapidly, leaving him even more troubled.
In his dream, he really turned into a woman, just like in the novels, shamelessly with Wen Yang…
Fortunately, he had been a little virgin in both his past life and this one, and just as he was about to have some close contact, he suddenly woke up.
“Could it really be me?”
Ning Chu sat up anxiously, looking at his delicate and fair hands, feeling his heartbeat quicken in his chest, talking to himself: “Although I do look a bit feminine now, at the end of the day, I do have what a man should have.”
But his height was only 1.6 meters, and his figure was petite.
His voice was that of a tender young boy, sounding ambiguous in terms of gender.
He also had a charming and cute appearance; he probably wouldn’t need any makeup, just leaving his long hair would make him look like a girl.
Ning Chu’s gaze dropped to his chest, which was as flat as an airport runway, with two little bumps poking through his thin pajamas.
This had been the case for a few days, but he thought the air conditioning in the dorm was too cold and that made him feel chilly, but now…
He cautiously covered it with his hands and pressed lightly.
There was a slight pain.
Anxious, Ning Chu quickly jumped out of bed, took two steps down the ladder, and rushed into the bathroom on the balcony.
After checking again, his heart settled a bit.
Not bad; even though he felt a bit lethargic, it was definitely there.
“Making such a fuss just after getting up.” Zhang Shaoqing sauntered over to the balcony, leaning against the railing, puffing out clouds of smoke while glancing at Ning Chu who had just exited the bathroom, “Want to order some takeout together at noon? Let’s get a discount.”
His carefree demeanor was like a typical middle school delinquent, obviously a rich second-generation, yet always penny-pinching over small discounts.
Ning Chu knew that in the novel’s plot, he was a villain, and the things he did in the storyline were so atrocious that even dogs would cover their eyes, so he had never had a good impression of him.
“No thanks, I’m on a diet.”
Besides, Ning Chu wasn’t in the mood to eat.
It had been a week since his transmigration, and he was still dazed every day, not yet figuring out what role he played in the plot.
He couldn’t really be that girl, could he?
“Short and skinny, yet on a diet; how can you grow if you don’t eat more?” Zhang Shaoqing scanned Ning Chu up and down, chuckling, “Why not go to Thailand and get surgery? Just become a woman.”
His words pierced Ning Chu’s heart.
If it weren’t for Zhang Shaoqing being a head taller than him, Ning Chu would have verbally lashed back.
When he first transmigrated, he lamented that his life was about to take off, but now he had completely given up; as long as he wouldn’t be dragged into the chaotic events of the plot, he was already grateful.
Which protagonist in a transmigration novel doesn’t have a golden finger or a system?!
After brushing his teeth and washing his face at the laundry sink on the balcony, Ning Chu returned to his dorm as usual, silent and withdrawn.
Now it was the second week of freshman year, and the few people in the dorm had not yet adjusted to one another; they weren’t familiar with each other, often bickering loudly.
Currently, Wang Jie had clashed with Wen Yang again over laundry issues, resulting in a friendly yet heated exchange.
Ning Chu usually ignored these trivial matters and remained at his computer, yawning while searching for interesting takeout.
“Hey, Ning Chu, tell us! Who washes clothes once a week? Last weekend, Wang Jie’s clothes were left sitting in the bucket and got stinky!”
“Is it wrong that I’m too lazy to wash? I dealt with it right away when it started to stink?”
The bickering even spread to Ning Chu, who turned to look at Wen Yang and Wang Jie in despair, silently rolling his eyes.
The noise didn’t last long; Wen Yang couldn’t out-shout Wang Jie and mumbled something before dragging a chair to sit next to Ning Chu, nonstop complaining about Wang Jie’s bad habits.
“Not washing clothes is one thing, but this guy kicks the door open every night when he comes back, waking me up several times. I told him, but he won’t change.”
“The keyboard noise is unbearable too, and he snores! Two weeks, and I haven’t had a good night’s sleep.”
Ning Chu responded perfunctorily: “Mmm, mmm.”
“My girlfriend wants to hang out this afternoon and told me not to come back tonight. What do you think…”
“Oh… hey!”
Suddenly, he reacted, his eyes widening: “When did you get a girlfriend?”
Seeing the typically withdrawn Ning Chu suddenly look alarmed, Wen Yang became interested and continued, “Just a couple of days ago; I thought that girl looked really nice, and her personality seems great.”
“But just two days in, she wants to go out with me and told me not to come back to the dorm tonight.”
Wen Yang had an excited expression: “Is she implying something to me?”
Ning Chu paused, asking, “What’s her name?”
“Ling Ling.”
“Of course, it’s her…”
Is the plot starting now?!
The first short story in the novel is about the girl Ling Ling pushing Wen Yang.
But in reality, Ling Ling is Zhang Shaoqing’s childhood sweetheart, whom he has secretly loved for a long time. This first chapter might also be the beginning of his darkening, becoming the villain.
Ning Chu turned to look at Zhang Shaoqing, who was still smoking on the balcony. That rich second-generation noticed his gaze and loudly questioned through the balcony door, “What are you eating? Spend thirty and get five off! Let’s go for a discount!”
That idiot…
If he could stop Wen Yang, could he keep Zhang Shaoqing as that foolish character instead of being the heartless villain who jumps around the legal edge in the book?
If the woman living in the dorm in the book really was him, then if he stopped the plot’s development, could he escape the fate of being overwhelmed by men?
“What do you think? Should I go? It’s only been two or three days, and although Ling Ling is the one being proactive…” Wen Yang lightly nudged his shoulder, seeking his opinion, “Even if she is proactive, might it not be a bit inappropriate?”
Wen Yang was, after all, the male lead, tall and strong, with a sunny and handsome face, resembling Wu Yanzu, especially popular with the girls.
It had only been two weeks since school started, and Wen Yang was already being chased after by girls and found himself a girlfriend.
After a moment’s consideration, Ning Chu advised, “You’d better not go. If you can’t resist, you’ll have to take responsibility.”
“True…”
Seeing Wen Yang nod in agreement, Ning Chu inexplicably felt a sense of strange achievement.
Others advise girls to improve; he advises the harem male lead to be responsible for girls~
“But she’s the one giving me hints; she doesn’t even mind…” Wen Yang still seemed hesitant, not wanting to give up on the opportunity, “I wasn’t allowed to date in high school; I haven’t even touched a woman’s hand at eighteen.”
Ning Chu hesitated, asking, “How about we go out drinking tonight in our dorm?”
“Drinking? When we had a gathering at the beginning of the school year, we invited you, and you wouldn’t go,” Wen Yang frowned in dissatisfaction, “Besides, I can’t come back tonight because of my date.”
“I already said not to go… we could just enjoy drinks and chat instead, which is more fun than going on a date with girls, right?”
Wang Jie chimed in, having overheard, his eyes lighting up at the mention of a gathering: “A date? Brother gatherings are definitely more important! Last time, Ning Chu didn’t go; we can’t have fewer people this time!”
Wen Yang looked troubled: “But I’m running low on living expenses.”
“I’ll cover it!”
Zhang Shaoqing also joined the fray, sporting a horrid face of a spoiled rich kid: “Tonight, I’ll pay for everything!”
