Transmigrated to Help the Killer [BL]

Chapter 16: Unexpected attack

The bus conductor hummed along to the radio song. Through the window, the ocean was vast. The water clashed against the tall island. After driving the students back to school, he could finally have a week of rest.

Suddenly, stingers appeared in the driver's field of view. It was those metal spikes that could deflate tires. The conductor instinctively pressed on the brakes. The tires screeched on the road, and the bus landed safely in front of the obstacle.

"What happened?" the students asked worriedly.

"Everybody, please stay on your seats," the teacher said. Why were there road spikes in the middle of the road?

A group of people wearing black outfits that covered them from head to toe flashed before them. One of them carried an axe, and that person swung his weapon at the bus's door. With a loud bang, the door shattered into pieces. Seeing the suspicious people entering the bus, the students cowered back into their seats, hoping the intruders didn't see them.

"Everyone get out of the bus if you don't want to get hurt!" the one with the axe yelled.

The students and teachers quietly get off the bus. The robbers told them to organize themselves into rows so that it would be easier for them to collect their expensive items. Watches, jewelry, money and anything valuable were all gathered in a black plastic bag.

One of the robbers walked by Seojin and noticed that he was hiding his wrist with his long sleeve.

"Roll up your sleeve," the robber commanded.

Seeing that it was an old watch, the robber mocked Seojin for having such a cheap item. He didn't even want to make the effort to steal his watch. Valentin sighed in relief as the robber walked away from Seojin. It wasn't an ordinary watch; it had a protective barrier that could protect the kid one time.

After collecting all the goods, the robbers snickered at their achievements. It was worth it to rob rich kids.

"Boss, what shall we do now?" one of them asked.

"We could take some of the good-looking girls with us. It's been a long time since we've had any activity," the leader snickered maniacally.

Their faces were hidden, but Valentin could tell that they had a perverse look on their face. After hearing their conversation, the female students retreated backward, hiding behind the male students. Some of them even started crying, knowing that no one would be able to help them. There were five robbers in total, and each of them was carrying dangerous weapons. There was no way they could make it out of this hellish place safely.

Seojin and Yongjae stood in front of Ji-a, hoping to hide her away from the robbers' eyes. The robbers quickly began to gather the good-looking girls. As they walked towards Seojin, the two boys stood closer to Ji-a.

One of the robbers held Seojin's chin up and examined his face. For a boy, the kid was pretty.

"Hey, boss, what do we do with this kid?" the robber asked.

"He might be pretty, but we don't do boys," the leader replied, a bit disgusted.

Annoyed, the robber pushed Seojin away. He was sick of always listening to the leader. If it were him, he would've taken the boy with him. It was rare to come across such a pretty boy. Seeing the girl hiding behind, the robber's mood got better. He dragged Ji-a to the group of good-looking girls under Seojin's angry gaze.

Why did the bad guys always have to hurt the people who were close to him? Seojin has had enough. From his pants, he took out a Swiss knife. He took it with him in case something bad happened. He didn't know that he would be able to use it that quickly. He was certain that he could take out one of the robbers if he aimed for the neck. But what will happen after? Will the robbers let the other students off alive?

Seeing the kid's desperation, Valentin slipped behind Seojin and held his hand with the knife. He didn't want such a young kid to do something dangerous like that.

"Don't worry, I'll take care of it," Valentin reassured him.

"Hyung …" Seojin looked at the judge worriedly. He knew the judge was strong, but it was hard to believe that he could fight against the robbers and ensure that the other students remained safe. Even if Seojin knew that he believed that Valentin would save them.

'System, I need your help.'

[At your service!]

The system strengthened Valentin's speed, strength and agility. It was going to be a challenge since the robbers were spread out. Since the robbers were almost done with their job, they were further away from the main group of students.

With a syringe in his hands, Valentin rushed towards the leader and plunged the needle into his neck. It was a drug that would put the robbers to sleep. It was faster and safer that way. The leader didn't even have time to react. With the leader gone, the other robbers would be easier to defeat.

Realizing what had happened, the robber with the axe ran towards Valentin. The axe knocked loudly on the ground as Valentin slipped past the robber's attack. The judge extended his arm and plunged the syringe into his neck, too. With a thud, the heavy man fell to the ground, unconscious.

Seeing Valentin's fast movements, the robbers retreated backwards. Looking at each other, they decided to attack at the same time. After a few minutes, four out of the five robbers were unconscious on the ground.

Knowing that he couldn't win the fight, the robber grabbed the closest student and held a knife to his neck.

"If you come any closer, this kid is dead," the robber threatened.

Seeing that the robber had taken Seojin as a hostage, Valentin felt relieved. If it were any other student, they might have been in danger.

Seojin struggled, trying to get out of the robber's grasp. The robber held the knife closer, slitting a wound on his white neck. Seeing a droplet of blood falling down Seojin's neck, Valentin lunged towards the last robber and violently inserted the needle into his neck.

The robber yelled in pain. The sudden pressure felt like his neck was about to snap. With all the robbers down, they were finally safe. The group of girl students rushed back to the main group, relieved that they didn't meet an awful fate.

Valentin took out a handkerchief and pressed on Seojin's wound. Seojin smiled happily and took the handkerchief. He knew that Valentin would be able to save them.

Valentin's dark eyebrows frowned. It was weird that the matter was resolved so easily. Wasn't it supposed to be a near-death experience?

He raised his head and gazed towards the sky. Suddenly, his red eyes caught a dark figure up in the mountains. It was a higher point than where they were, just above their heads. If he didn't look up, he wouldn't have noticed.

A metallic weapon came out of the green bushes, pointing towards Valentin.

'Shit, so that's why the system asked me to come,' Valentin thought.

Without giving him any time to escape, the sniper hiding in the mountains shot a few bullets. The loud gun bangs scared the students. As they searched for the source of the sound, the bullets had already traversed Valentin's body.

Blood splattered on the ground as Valentin gasped in pain. Due to the shock of the bullets, he was already on the edge of the cliff. He stared down at his injuries and frowned. There were so many holes in his body. At least, the sniper didn't aim at any of the students. Seeing that Valentin was still standing, the sniper shot a few more bullets.

"Hyung!" Seojin yelled and ran towards him. What was happening? Why was the judge bleeding so much?

Valentin smiled towards the kid and ordered him to stay back. With the other bullets penetrating his body, he couldn't withstand the shock and tripped over the fence that guarded the cliff.

Valentin laughed at the situation. Who knew that mere robbers would have a sniper in their team? It was ironic. As he fell off the cliff, he told the system that he would use his 'death escape' reward.

'Please take care of the students and ensure they are returned safely to school. Also, have the police take care of the robbers and the sniper. You can take as much money as you want,' Valentin told the system.

[Don't worry, the system will take care of everything!

You will be rewarded after you gain back consciousness.]

Tired and possibly due to the excessive blood loss, Valentin closed his eyes, and his consciousness drifted away. He hoped that his absence wouldn't affect Seojin because he had a feeling that he would be away for a long time.
