After driving for two more days, the weather became even hotter. At the beginning, Luciel could still stand the heat with ice cream and with the AC inside the RV.

However, the temperature kept rising, and after two days, the AC wasn't effective anymore. Even if the AC was turned on, Luciel could still feel the scorching temperature.

"Aah too hot. Zam, give us some more ice," Luciel said while fanning himself on the sofa.

After hearing what he said, Zam stood up and filled up another basin with ice.

Fortunately, they had Zam, who had ice powers. They let Zam put ice in a basin and then put it beside them. Once the ice melts, then Yang puts it in other containers so that they could use it for bathing.

Zam's ice power was really useful because it could last longer than normal ice from the fridge. It should last even longer after his powers become stronger.

With the ice beside them, at least the temperature became more bearable. But even though it became more bearable, they still had to stop in places with shades when it was near midday because the temperature rises even further.

Luciel really wanted to go to their space and stay in there if he could; unfortunately, he couldn't. He could only stay in their space for a short while at night when everybody was resting.

As it was already nearing midday, they stopped at a road shaded by trees.

Looking at the trees outside, Luciel decided to go out. He waited for the others to clean up the place and went down while holding a small basin with ice.

He walked directly to where the trees with a lot of vines were and started looking where the vines started growing.

When Luciel saw where the vines sprouted, he also saw some young vines growing, so he dug a few of them and put some in his space while holding the others.

"Theo, can you give me a flowerpot?" Luciel said as soon as he returned to where the RVs were.

After Theo heard what he said and after looking at the plants he was holding, Theo brought out a flowerpot and gave it to Wes, who was the nearest person with Earth ability.

Wes filled it up with soil before handing it to him.

"Why are you planting vines?" Nathan asked after seeing him planting the vines in the flowerpot.

"I'm going to use them later," Luciel said without explaining it any further.

He doesn't know the names of the vines he just got, but they were the sturdiest vine he had seen for the past few weeks. The vines were quite sturdy, so he could definitely use them in combat if he needed them.

After replying to Nathan, he went back to the RV.

"You picked up vines this time?" Treyton asked after seeing what he was holding.

"Yeah, it's a useful plant," Luciel answered.

"More useful than that cactus over there?" Treyton said while pointing at the cactus near their bed.

He had been getting plants in the places they had stopped by while wandering around and directly placing them in their space.

So, their space already had a lot of plants—trees, flowers, vegetables, and even fruits. The growth times of the plants were very short in their space, so they already had plenty of plants in their space.

Fortunately, they could control the things in their space so they don't need to manually plant or harvest the plants; if they had to, then the short growth time would certainly be wasted.

He doesn't have patience to plant such in such a large area in their space, and Treyton doesn't have time to plant if he wanted to train his abilities and be stronger.

They were just scattering seeds with their mental power, and Luciel would stimulate the plants to grow so they weren't exhausted or anything when planting.

Most of the time he was practicing his skills in their space with the plants they had and was only practicing out of their space a few times.

Except for the strawberries and other plants he was using to get something to eat, the only plant he had was the cactus.

The strawberries and the others also don't stay in his care, and most are put aside and cared for by others if he doesn't need them. The only plant that he was taking care of by himself is the cactus.

Because of his special care of the cactus, Treyton had asked about it before. Treyton asked why he was taking care of the catus personally. At that time, he answered that he was taking care of the catus because it would be useful in the future.

"I'm not yet sure how useful the cactus will be because I can't use it for now. As for these vines, they might not be as useful as the cactus in the future, but they would already be useful now," Luciel said.

The vines were just an ordinary plant, so of course they wouldn't be able to compare with the cactus that was still evolving.

However, even though the vines were just ordinary plants, they were already useful compared to the cactus that was still growing, and the vines also had a lot of uses, so it would still be pretty useful even later on.

"Are you sure that cactus would even be useful? It didn't even grow a bit since you got it. And aren't those just vines? How useful could they be?" Treyton said with a bit of dislike.

Luciel disregarded the dislike in Treyton's voice and just went to put the vines beside the cactus.

After putting down the vines, Luciel and Treyton went out of the RV to have more fresh air. Nina and the others already finished setting up a place for them, so they just went and sat down.

There were many basins filled with ice, which helped keep the temperature comfortable outside. The breeze was also cooler by the time it reached them, thanks to the shade from the trees and the ice nearby. As a result, they were still able to enjoy sitting outside for a while.

While they were resting, Ashlee and the others were reading storybooks with Calvin near them.

Treyton and the others found a lot of storybooks yesterday, so the kids had a lot of books to read.

And it seemed that what they just read was the story, Little Mermaid, because he heard the kids asking about it.

Originally, he wasn't paying attention to them because he was also reading comics, but then he heard them asking a lot of questions about it, and Calvin was having a bit of a hard time answering some of their questions.

"That's a bit wrong," Luciel said after he heard what they were talking about.

"Ashlee, that's not really because of love. That princess was just willful, so she didn't even care about her family and left.

You also can't define what she did because of love. That princess is just a bit of an idiot.

She doesn't even really know the prince, but she already sacrificed her voice and endured such pain just because she wanted to see the prince again, which is foolish.

It said that it was because of love, but it was just foolishness; don't even try to follow her concept of love.
