Transmigrated as the Betrothed of the Yandere Villain

Ch. 63

Chapter 63

Fu Nanshuang stepped on the gas pedal, the car accelerated, overtook the little lamb, then with one long stride, she jumped down and caught the lamb in her arms.

Zhong Ning was dumbfounded.

She had only seen this kind of thing online before, like students from agricultural colleges chasing after their thesis subjects.

Now she had witnessed the real-life version.

A few students ran over, panting heavily. One of them held a rope and looped it a few times around the lamb's neck, finally managing to secure it. "Thank you, senior. I'm exhausted."

"Are you showing the freshman around?" another girl asked. "Then we won’t disturb you any longer. Our tomatoes are about to ripen. They’re an improved variety, should be very sweet. We’ll bring you some later!"

Fu Nanshuang smiled, waved her hand, patted her clothes lightly, said goodbye, and got back on the electric scooter.

"They all seem to know you." Zhong Ning asked.

"At least I'm part of the student council. I can't possibly be doing worse than Zhong Zinuan." Fu Nanshuang shrugged. "She's running for vice president, and lately I've been thinking about it too."

"Actually, I didn’t really want to be vice president. Third-year coursework isn’t that heavy, and I want to focus more on the company. But the thought of her stepping over me just makes me uncomfortable. You don’t know how pretentious she acts in the student council. If she becomes vice president, she’ll definitely target me."

"I can’t quit, can I? That would look like I’m afraid of her!"

Fu Nanshuang slapped the horn, which gave a loud beep. The two girls horsing around in front of them quickly stepped aside. "Come on, like I’d give way?"

"She’s already become a toothless campus belle. If I lose, where would I put my pride?"

Zhong Ning recalled how disheveled Zhong Zinuan looked when she ran off, and couldn’t hold back her laughter again.

Chipping her front teeth really was a bit tragic!

But when she thought of the things Zhong Zinuan had done, Zhong Ning no longer felt sorry for her. Although she was kind-hearted, she wasn’t so benevolent as to love the entire world.

When it came to the pitiful, the weak, and animals, she was kind and willing to help.

But villains like Zhong Zinuan clearly didn’t fall into that category. Her kindness was reserved for good people, not bad ones.

The memories she had acquired were brief and incomplete, just a short fragment. But even in that small piece, Zhong Zinuan had not played any benevolent role—outwardly friendly, inwardly malicious.

So many years had passed; what had transpired between them, Zhong Ning wasn’t sure, but it was definitely not harmonious.

Besides, at the engagement banquet, she had actually led Xie Shiqing to such a dangerous place by the stairwell, clearly on purpose, trying to force Xie Shiqing to agree to her.

Such a villain only losing her front teeth was really letting her off too easy.

However, she truly had never done anything like this before. Even just watching from the side gave her a bit of psychological pressure. Venting once was fine, but doing it again would start to feel like a brawl.

So when Fu Nanshuang brought it up again, she didn’t agree.

Zhong Zinuan really wanted the Zhong family. Getting the heir's position was the greatest revenge against Zhong Zinuan.

"Alright, let’s work hard together," she said. "Make sure she ends up with nothing."

Fu Nanshuang burst into laughter.

They arrived at the dormitory area, which was behind the teaching building, separated by a pond with a bridge leading to the dormitory building.

Fu Nanshuang checked her admission notice, then opened the group file to confirm. "Let me see. You're in Building Three, Class One, Room 321, four-person room."

"During military training, you must stay in the dorm. They take attendance every day. After it's over, you can apply to live off-campus. I’ll handle it for you then. Do you want to participate in military training?" She turned her head and asked, "If you don’t, just get a medical certificate. That’s easy."

"Although military training can be a bit sunburnt, it’s actually quite fun. You even get to play with guns."

Zhong Ning’s eyes lit up instantly, almost brighter than the sun, but after a moment, the light dimmed.

"But military training lasts a long time. I won’t be able to see Shiqing."

Fu Nanshuang: …

Fu Nanshuang said, "You lovebirds really can’t be stopped. Even if you get a certificate, you still have to live on campus. You just don’t need to train. While others train, you’ll sit there watching. What, did you think they’d give you a vacation?"

Zhong Ning rubbed her face awkwardly. "I was overthinking it."

Seeing how casually Fu Nanshuang mentioned the medical certificate, she thought it was some kind of rich family privilege.

The dormitory building had elevators. The environment was bright and clean, not like a student dormitory at all, more like an apartment complex. Two aunties at the gate, with neatly tied black hair and clean uniforms, checked their student IDs and admission notices before letting them through.

Taking the elevator up, Zhong Ning didn’t feel much at first. After all, the Xie family villa had an indoor elevator too. She had gotten used to the shock of wealth these days. But when she saw the dormitory, she was still momentarily stunned.

This was a dormitory?

She had never lived in such a nice student dorm before.

Air conditioning, a mini fridge, balcony, private bathroom, bunk beds with desks underneath, two large wardrobes, a square table with four chairs—not those four-legged rickety wooden ones, but beautiful square chairs with backrests.

The room was spacious enough to hold a dance party.

There was no need to scramble for bed spots at all.

The two of them left the room and went downstairs by elevator, but unexpectedly ran into someone familiar.

"Liu Rushi?" Zhong Ning said in surprise. "What are you doing here?"

"You’re repeating a year?"

Liu Rushi looked much better than before. The biggest change was in her energy—she seemed spirited, her eyes bright and full of hope.

Seeing Zhong Ning, she even smiled. Not a cold smile, but a very gentle one. "Zhong Ning, Fu Nanshuang."

"President Xie wrote a recommendation letter for me so I could enroll again, still starting from third year. She said there’s no rush to start work; I can join after I get my diploma."

Zhong Ning’s eyes welled up with emotion. She just knew that Shiqing was a loyal and kind person.

"That’s wonderful."

Liu Rushi spoke politely to both of them. "Are you free at noon? I’d like to treat you to lunch."
