Transmigrated as Sukuna, but the Host is Yukinoshita?

Chapter 37

Chapter 34: Collapse

A figure kept leaping across the rooftop of a high-rise building, moving too fast for most people to see with the naked eye.

“Got it.” After wandering through the school’s surrounding areas, Lin Qi finally picked up a weak curse reaction within his curse energy perception range.

He landed on the rooftop of an apartment building: “It’s in this building. Judging by the curse energy reaction, it should be at most Grade 4, but probably Grade 3, quite weak.”

“Can I win?” Yukinoshita Yukino asked anxiously.

The last time Lin Qi mentioned that a Grade 3 cursed spirit was very weak, nearly tearing down an entire building—it was hard for her to believe his assessment.

Perhaps he’d say anything was weak.

“Keep going, don’t be afraid,” Lin Qi didn’t discourage her this time. “If we can’t manage, I’ll be here.”

He made a hand seal: “Born from darkness, darker than night; defilement and sin, all removed.”

As soon as he spoke, shadows appeared in mid-air above the building, forming a barrier that enveloped it, dimming the light.

After lowering the curtain of shadows, Lin Qi transferred control back to Yukinoshita Yukino: “No forgetting this time. We won’t attract any attention, let’s go.”

The girl steadied herself, opened the rooftop door.

Cursed spirits seemed to always lurk in old, dilapidated places, but this newly-built apartment building didn’t look like one. It barely had any inhabitants. The sound-activated lights were advanced, the cleanliness immaculate—the white tiles reflected the bright hallway lights, and Yukinoshita Yukino began to doubt if there were even any cursed spirits here.

“Could a cursed spirit be hiding in one of these apartments?” she whispered.

“Dolt, use your mind, not just your eyes. Learn to sense curse energy,” Lin Qi didn’t keep silent this time, intending to teach her.

“Ah…” Yukinoshita Yukino meekly responded, accepting even being called a fool.

Being the second daughter of the Yukinoshita household, she had received excellent education and idolized her perfect sister. With her natural wisdom and efforts, her knowledge was near flawless.

Yet, in the realm of jujutsu that she’d only recently begun exploring, she was akin to an infant—vulnerable to scrutiny by others.

Though somewhat displeased by Lin Qi’s critiques, she felt secure knowing his guidance. His strength was undeniable—he was an absolute powerhouse.

Seeing as he’d already demonstrated how to sense curse energy, she knew she could do it too.

Yukinoshita Yukino stopped, closed her eyes slowly, recalling the sensation of Lin Qi controlling her body, calming her mind to seek out that feeling again.

Before long, she sensed a faint curse energy reaction—her eyes closed but her awareness “saw” the location of the curse energy.

“I found it!” With a delighted expression, she opened her eyes.

Mastering new knowledge or abilities brought her immense satisfaction.

Her steps moved again, decisively now. She walked briskly, jogged faster, then started sprinting down the stairs, almost diving over the handrail, each move more daring and quicker.

She ran to the fourth floor and halted before Apartment 406.

“It’s right here,” she said confidently.

She took a deep breath, stepped back, then unleashed a clean, powerful roundhouse kick that sent the apartment door flying off its hinges.

The flying door collided with the TV cabinet in the living room, knocking furniture and the TV off balance, leaving a chaotic clatter. Then silence prevailed.

Yukinoshita Yukino cautiously stepped past the entrance and entered the living room. The sight left her paralyzed instantly.

Her pupils contracted sharply, her heart raced, even her curse energy wavered due to shock.

In the living room, the most startling sight was splattered bloodstains resembling crimson wings.

Blood trickled down the walls onto the brown sofa against them, while the coffee table in front was missing, replaced by a headless corpse.

A lean, green figure crouched in front of it, seemingly feeding, like a mosquito drilling its slender mouthpiece into the wound.

The cursed energy detection came from this cursed spirit.

“L-Lin Qi…”

Yukinoshita Yukino backed up, instinctively calling for support.

Nearby, a basketball-sized head with spiral烂肉 lay beside the neck, dripping blood; the face was grimacing in horror, eyes wide open, teetering on explosions from their sockets.

A strong stench of blood permeated the air, rising into her nostrils and throat, tangling in her stomach.

“Guh…”

Instinctively, Yukinoshita Yukino covered her mouth.

Meanwhile, the cursed spirit feasting suddenly lifted its head and glanced toward her.
