Chapter 84: The Mountain of Prejudice
Star Forger: "Hey, Star-Rail, is the Astral Express crew still at the Herta Space Station?"
[Galactic Baseballer]: "We're pioneering on a beautiful, frozen planet. Just ran into a blond native named Gepard."
Star Forger: "When you meet a silver-gray-haired girl with a triple-spiral hairstyle and the Supreme Guardian, take a picture and send it to old man Yang."
Even though I'm not in the Star Rail world right now, the trolling of Welt must not stop. My dear goddaughter, I'm leaving this mission to you.
[Galactic Baseballer]: "Understood. Mission accepted, Godfather."
Stelle watched Gepard's retreating back, a smirk playing on her lips. She had a feeling things were about to get interesting.
Hee hee hee ha ha ha...
An unheard laugh echoed in the void. A cluster of strange masks hovered in the air, watching their junior Nameless.
"Aha smells fun... The Nameless are always the most fun."
"Akivili, what kind of fun did you see back then? To think you wouldn't tell Aha... boo hoo hoo, Aha has lost so much face."
If one were to ask why an Aeon had so much free time, the truth was that Aha was just that idle, always looking for where the fun was. No one ever wanted to see Aha get truly busy. After all, when Aha got busy, it meant it had started to create its own fun, and no one could predict how big that fun would get.
A short time later.
In the Nameless group chat—Astral Express Family.
Stelle: "Uncle Yang, here are some dispatches from our pioneering mission. We met the planet's leader and her daughter. One is named Cocolia, the other is Bronya."
Stelle knew she had to phrase it delicately. Otherwise, she'd be greeted by a pseudo-black hole when she got back to the Express.
Onboard the Express, Welt looks at his phone.
Welt: "You all be careful. I'll head down to meet you later."
Welt stared at the two achingly familiar faces, his expression becoming a strange mix of serious and comical.
Hiss...
Cocolia as the leader, and Bronya as her daughter... why did this script feel so familiar? Was this really another world? Lately, it had felt more like he was returning home. If Bronya was here, did that mean Seele from their shared past was here too? At this point, he wouldn't even be surprised if an organization called "Anti-Entropy" popped up.
"What's wrong, Welt?" Himeko asked, looking at him with concern.
"The Supreme Guardian of this planet, Jarilo-VI, this Cocolia... she looks almost identical to a Cocolia I once knew. I have a feeling she's going to cause some kind of trouble," Welt said, forcing himself to remain calm.
"Welt, isn't that being a bit prejudiced based on her looks?" Himeko found his reasoning a little absurd.
"Himeko, I know it's not good to judge a book by its cover," Welt said, pushing up his glasses. "But with a face like that, it's very hard for me not to suspect she's up to no good."
He wasn't one to judge by appearances, but the appearance itself was attacking him.
The prejudice in a person's heart is a great mountain.
Even if this Cocolia wasn't the Cocolia from his world, just by having that face, she was already the problem. The Cocolia from his Earth had caused so much trouble. How could this one possibly be normal? If someone with Otto's face were to appear before him, he would be absolutely certain that person was trouble.
"Alright, then. Go on down and support them," Himeko said with a helpless sigh.
[Galactic Baseballer]: "Godfather Kenji, mission complete! I sent the photos to Uncle Yang. The second he saw them, he decided to come down from the Express."
[Miss Pink Elf♪]: "Pfft. Kenji, how many times are you going to troll Welt♪?"
It's either once or countless times.
Star Forger: "I didn't even do anything this time! I just wanted to give Welt that feeling of coming home."
The whole Caelus situation was definitely his fault for trolling Welt, but Cocolia and Bronya were locals.
Star Forger: "Madara, how are you feeling now?"
[Ghost of the Uchiha]: "Young. It feels very good. Thank you. Here are the points for the soup."
After eating the Cryophoenix Amber Soup, he no longer needed to be hooked up to tubes. Now, he could dance once more. Because he didn't have Gourmet Cells, his power hadn't increased much, but he looked younger and his chakra reserves had grown.
[Lady Justice]: "Mr. Madara, now that you're young again, what do you plan to do next?"
[Ghost of the Uchiha]: "First, I'll return to Konoha and see if there's anyone worth fighting."
Madara wanted to stretch his stiff limbs. The student of that inherently evil Tobirama Senju was still alive, so he'd use them as punching bags.
[Crash-Test Pilot]: "With Mr. Madara's power, there shouldn't be many opponents left for you in the ninja world, right?"
With a young body and the Rinnegan, Madara's strength should be just a step below the Sage of Six Paths.
Star Forger: "No, no, no. In this era, Might Dai should still be alive. He can also use the Eight Gates Formation and open the Gate of Death."
Although Kenji didn't know how big the gap was between "Emperor Dai" and "Emperor Guy," the current Madara wasn't the Six Paths Madara and lacked his powerful regenerative abilities.
[Ghost of the Uchiha]: "Hmph. The Eight Gates Released Formation. I'd like to experience it for myself."
[Galactic Baseballer]: "Will Madara get kicked in the groin this time?"
[Ghost of the Uchiha]: "Do you think I wouldn't use Limbo to dodge?"
The corner of Madara's mouth twitched. If he got kicked in the groin by the Gate of Death now, he wouldn't be able to regenerate his "second brother." Might Guy was still in school; there was no "Night Guy" yet. Would it be "Night Dai" this time?
[Miss Pink Elf♪]: "Kenji, I've eaten a little too much meat lately. Do you have any vegetable recommendations♪?"
Star Forger: "I certainly do. There are more than just nine kinds of delicious vegetables."
Kenji looked up at the sky.
The Sky Vegetable Garden. A vegetable field floating on clouds tens of thousands of meters above the ground. The journey was indeed perilous, with low temperatures, thin oxygen, and violent storms, but once you reached the garden, the photosynthesis from the plants provided ample oxygen and the air currents were stable, allowing even normal people to breathe and move freely.
Star Forger: "If any of you want to come eat some vegetables, you're welcome to."
[Stank]: "Family! I'm finally out! Kenji, thanks for the medicine. Yinsen would have died in there without it."
Star Forger: "Don't mention it, Tony. Did you finish building the Arc Reactor?"
[Stank]: "I built the reactor using materials from the terrorists' own missiles."
[God's Tongue]: "Mr. Stark, you built something like that in a crude cave?"
[Stank]: "Of course! How else was I supposed to get out of that godforsaken hole? I'm Tony Stark."
[Galactic Baseballer]: "Right you are, Mr. Tony Stank."
[Stank]: "Kenji, get a handle on your kid."
Star Forger: "She's adopted."
Star Forger: "Tony, you should probably deal with the mastermind of this whole incident. It's that guy you know, Stane."
[Stank]: "Fuck. How could it be him?"
Tony's face clouded over. Kenji had no reason to lie to him. Yinsen, standing beside him, looked at Tony, seeing this expression on his face for the very first time. Tony had considered others, but he never thought the person he trusted so much would be the one to betray him.
His brilliant mind began to churn. He quickly recalled details he had previously overlooked. The terrorists had been so precise in their attack—there must have been a leak from someone with a high-level position in his company.
