Chapter 412: The Divine Game: Kart Racing 16
Rita's decisiveness and strength had indeed temporarily intimidated the remaining 19 players.
Time was running out, and there was no need to engage with a troublesome opponent like Rita. After all, there were plenty of players between levels 2-6. But this didn't mean that Rita was safe; even though BS Rita had managed to kill Ridge Tea Wildfire, a player at level 10, using all her powerful skills, every player had their own trump card. To some players, BS Rita was now a spent force, having used up all her strong abilities to achieve such dominance.
Nivalis parked in a remote colored parking spot, but she and Rita didn't rush to get out. They stayed vigilant, observing their surroundings.
There had already been numerous skirmishes in the parking lot: some players were fighting over parking spaces, others were stealing go-karts, and some were seizing the opportunity to ambush other players in the chaos.
Rita tilted her head and dodged, spinning around to fire a shot. The player attempting to ambush her immediately retreated, but Rita didn't pursue. Nivalis was still not at her peak strength, so Rita had to stay near her and protect both the go-kart and Nivalis.
The rule read: Only players driving go-karts can enter parking spaces.
At first glance, this rule seemed to protect parked players, but in reality, it encouraged players to eliminate each other.
What if someone couldn't enter a parking space? Simple: kill the driver, and the go-kart would automatically drive out!
After one and a half minutes, the parking lights blinked on.
Nivalis sobbed, holding onto the steering wheel. Every single part of this go-kart had been carefully chosen by her, given the limited kart coins she had. She really couldn't care less about the other players' karts.
Rita chuckled, "Once we're back, I'll have one custom-built for you. We'll buy a mansion and make a kart racing track."
Nivalis paused her sobbing, asking, "Is this what you guys call a pipe dream?"
Rita: "…."
For someone like her, buying a mansion and building a kart racing track wasn't even a challenge. Even if she brought the people from Eclipse Vanguard along to fight a gladiatorial battle and snag a treasure chest, they'd be happy to give her a mansion. Or, she could go for a deep-sea adventure, collect a few dungeon projection screens, and auction them off. With that, she could trade for a thousand unique go-karts for Nivalis.
But Rita wasn't thinking about such trivial matters right now.

Before she could ask Nivalis what kind of kart she wanted, the 10-second checkpoint time was up, and 20 explosions rang out.
With no explosions near them, their go-kart remained intact. Rita and Nivalis both exhaled in relief.
However, after the explosion, a new batch of players lost their karts. Rita noticed that two minefield parking spots were empty, but even with that, there were still 18 new players vying for go-karts.
In the last round, 7 players successfully killed others to steal their karts.
This meant that there were now 30 players without karts in total.
As Rita and Nivalis completed the checkpoint and added 3 kart coins to the steering wheel, Nivalis was already releasing the brake and moving the kart forward, while Rita aimed her sniper in preparation.
Both of them were more skilled at this type of combat where they could drive and fight simultaneously. Nivalis's driving skills allowed her to avoid at least half of the incoming attacks, while Rita's 3-second targeting passive ensured her shots always hit, no matter how contorted the path was.
If the enemy's attacks had auto-tracking, Rita would have to spend 3 points of essence to activate Bedtime Tale to block the incoming attacks.
The parking lot was chaotic, with go-karts everywhere, none of them following traffic rules. At times, two go-karts would pass by so close that the players on them would immediately take a swing at each other.
Rita had elbowed quite a few players herself.
Of course, she had also been hit numerous times—sometimes by various tails, other times by wings, and occasionally by pets thrown by other players.
In the end, Rita just unleashed 100,000 Volts!
Nivalis shouted, "Well done! Pikachu!"
Meanwhile, the third challenge was announced.
[Third challenge: Please pass through seven different colored parking spaces in 10 seconds and reverse into a spot of the same color.]
After dodging pursuit from other players, Nivalis and Rita made several more rounds, carefully planning the route.
For this challenge, it was critical to enter early. Once other players parked their karts, the parking spots could be blocked, making the task much harder.
Nivalis floored the accelerator, her hands gripping the steering wheel as her dragon claws spun it around. Despite the tension, she still remembered the rule to not press the gas for more than 10 seconds.
The white go-kart weaved through the various colored parking spaces, until it reached the edge of the parking lot. Nivalis slammed the brakes after just 4 seconds, and Rita had already leapt out of the kart to position herself in front.
With a deep breath, Rita pushed the go-kart into its parking space.
"What if the kart doesn't have a reverse function?" Rita grinned and pushed it backward with sheer strength.
Some players who had been following them to kill Rita suddenly realized: This is possible?!
It wasn't just Rita—many players who had been about to give up instantly refocused on the game.
Rita told Nivalis to guard the kart, while she stood on the kart, holding her sniper rifle without letting go. Anyone who got too close would get a bullet.
Their parking spot was on the very edge, a position carefully chosen by Nivalis so it wouldn't block other players' routes. Anyone approaching now definitely had impure motives.
Next, relying on Nivalis's driving skills, and with Rita using her essence freely—almost every round requiring her to activate Bedtime Tale—the pair completed checkpoint after checkpoint.
[Fourth challenge: Park the kart in a matching colored spot with no player in the kart.]
This one was easy. Rita took off, and Nivalis flew up, gripping the handlebars of the kart and steering it into the spot. After freezing it with an ice pillar, she hit the brakes.
[Fifth challenge: Park the kart in any spot without touching the parking line.]
Rita and Nivalis flew and lifted the kart into position, placing it in the spot carefully.
[Sixth challenge: Park your kart in a matching color parking space next to a different colored kart.]
This one was devious!
But Rita's quick thinking came through. She calmly watched the other players fighting, their brains nearly frying.
Then, when the clock started ticking, Rita used her shadow movement to appear next to the junkyard of go-karts. She picked out a damaged go-kart of a different color and placed it in their parking spot.
[Seventh challenge: You need to be bumped by another go-kart into a matching color parking space.]
Rita brought out the damaged go-kart again, and using a technique similar to billiards, she kicked the rear of the junked go-kart to have it crash into their kart, pushing it into the parking spot.
Players watching this were stunned.
[Eighth challenge: Enter a blue parking space while spinning your kart.]
This was the most dangerous challenge, as they not only had to face players attempting to steal their karts but also other go-karts fighting for the same spots.
