Chapter 350: The Crane School Girl (Part 2)
As the most prestigious event in the martial arts world, the approaching World Martial Arts Tournament brought liveliness to all of West City.
Martial artists from all over the world gathered, eagerly awaiting the opportunity to test their skills.
Anyone who performed well in the tournament would not only receive generous rewards but also gain immense fame. For any martial artist with ambition and dreams, this was an event that simply couldn't be missed.
However, as martial arts continued to flourish on Earth, the number of participants in the World Martial Arts Tournament increased with each passing edition. For instance, this year's tournament had over hundreds of thousands of applicants!
If every single participant were to compete in the tournament, the matches might not even conclude within a month. Thus, merely signing up was not enough—one had to meet certain basic requirements to qualify.
And what were these basic requirements? Strength, of course!
"Battle power: 99—Disqualified."
"Battle power: 138—Qualified."
"Battle power: 2258—Qualified."
"Battle power: 55—Disqualified."
"Battle power: 13,500—Q-Qualified!"
On the day of the tournament, martial artists underwent battle power testing in the central plaza.
Anyone with a battle power below 100 was immediately disqualified, while only those with 100 or higher were eligible to participate.
A few decades ago, such a requirement would have been unimaginable. Back then, a battle power of 100 was considered top-tier on Earth—such warriors would have had a high chance of winning the World Martial Arts Tournament. Yet now, 100 was merely the bare minimum to enter!
Although many were eliminated, a significant number still passed the preliminary round.
Most had battle powers in the hundreds, but occasionally, some individuals appeared with thousands or even tens of thousands of battle power.
These were undoubtedly renowned figures in the martial arts world. Every time one of them was revealed, the crowd gasped in awe and admiration.
Inside the VIP Viewing Room—
"Master Roshi, Senior Gohan, Senior Ox-King—it's been a while!"
"Oh, oh! Long time no see, Yuujin, Gokumi, and everyone else!"
"Grandpa Roshi, we missed you!"
"I missed you too, my little cuties!"
"Ahh! Don't pull my beard! That hurts—ouch, ouch, ouch!"
"Hahaha!"
Though they hadn't seen each other for some time, Master Roshi, Gohan, and the others remained as lively as ever, exchanging greetings and catching up.
"Lord Yuujin, is this the new Super Saiyan 3 form of yours?"
"Incredible! Absolutely incredible!"
As Roshi and the others chatted with Goteno and Trunksia, Krillin and Tien Shinhan examined Yuujin, Gokumi, and Vegea, their faces filled with astonishment.
As Earth's top martial artists, Krillin and Tien naturally sensed that Yuujin's transformation was not just about physical appearance—the power hidden within was simply terrifying.
"It's alright... Just a bit difficult to control."
"Yamcha, Krillin, Tien, Chiaotzu—aren't you guys joining this year's tournament?"
"Nah, we'll sit this one out. Better to let others have a chance, hahaha!"
Krillin rubbed his bald head and exchanged smiles with Yamcha and Tien Shinhan.
Yuujin nodded in understanding.
Although they were far behind him and the other Saiyans, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, and Chiaotzu were still the strongest martial artists on Earth. In previous tournaments, they were always the ones fighting in the finals for the championship.
Just as the average martial artists' battles felt like child's play to Yuujin and his group, Krillin and the others also lost interest in such competitions. Now, they mostly appeared as special guests, offering guidance to younger fighters.
"By the way, how's Piccolo doing? I haven't seen him in a long time."
A thought crossed Yuujin's mind, prompting him to ask.
"We haven't seen Piccolo in years either. He went into space for training a while back."
"He went into space? I see."
Krillin replied, while Yuujin chuckled. No wonder Piccolo hadn't come to challenge him in all these years.
"Piccolo is still a Namekian... I wonder if he'll ever return."
"He should. That guy has always wanted to fight Lord Yuujin."
"Yeah, he's incredibly stubborn when it comes to this. He always talks about making the world belong to his Demon Clan one day."
"Well, as long as Lord Yuujin and Lady Gokumi are around, his dream will never come true!"
"Hahaha!"
As everyone joked and laughed, the atmosphere remained lively.
Suddenly—
A commotion erupted outside.
"What's going on?"
"Yuujin, Yuujin! Come look—there's an incredible fighter!"
Hearing the excitement, Yuujin and his group walked to the window.
Down in the plaza, a young girl was undergoing battle power testing. The large display screen above her showed:
189,500
The girl was adorable, with two hair loops tied on top of her head. She wore the Crane School martial arts uniform, standing proudly with her arms crossed—like an arrogant little hen, basking in the admiration of the surrounding crowd.
"Lord Yuujin, this is my third disciple, Yulin! What do you think?"
Beside her, Master Shen (Crane Hermit) approached with a smug expression.
"Not bad."
Yuujin stroked his chin and gave an honest evaluation.
A mere 200,000 battle power was insignificant to him now. Even among his Red Silk Girls, Yulin would only be mid-tier at best.
However, considering she had achieved this level without the resources of the Temple, relying solely on Master Shen and Tao Pai Pai's training, it was indeed quite impressive.
"As long as you're satisfied, Lord Yuujin! Just wait and see—she won't disappoint you!"
Master Shen grinned, while Yuujin nodded slightly.
To present this gift, it seemed Shen had indeed put in great effort.
Perhaps this might be... worth a little anticipation.
