Chapter 150: Deviation in the Plot
After the earlier events, even Nappa started to feel that these Earthlings' combat power seemed off, so he continuously monitored them with his scouter.
However, the scouter's readings were extremely unstable, sometimes showing only a few hundred, sometimes thousands, and other times tens of thousands of combat points.
"Tch, is the machine broken? And at a time like this!"
Nappa muttered in irritation, clearly not believing that two Earth women could have tens of thousands of combat points.
"Interesting."
"The scouter isn't broken. It seems these Earthlings have a method for suppressing their energy and only unleash it when needed in battle."
With a slight smirk, Vegeta commented, showing a hint of interest.
"No way! Does that mean they actually have that kind of combat power?!"
Nappa exclaimed in disbelief.
Just then, several explosions resounded as three more Saibamen were obliterated by Red Sash No. 1 and Red Sash No. 2. The last remaining Saibaman fell to the ground, backing away in terror as the two women approached.
"Aaaaah!!!"
Knowing there was no escape, the Saibaman went berserk and, with a crack in its head, sprayed its dissolving fluid at the two women.
Already warned by their master, Red Sash No. 1 and Red Sash No. 2 easily dodged the spray, then appeared right before the Saibaman with a flash—
"Die!!!"
With icy gazes, each raised a hand, aiming at the Saibaman's head, and fired a ki blast.
With a bang, the headless Saibaman corpse collapsed, completely wiped out!
"Nappa, now do you believe it?"
"Ah... ah... ah..."
Vegeta watched with a playful expression, while Nappa was left gaping in shock.
If the first two Saibamen's defeat could be considered a fluke, the fact that all of them had now been effortlessly annihilated certainly could not.
No, this couldn't be mere chance—it was absolute strength!
"Master, the enemies have been eliminated."
Returning, Red Sash No. 1 and Red Sash No. 2 saluted Yuujin.
"Well done. I'll reward you both when we return."
Yuujin's smile surfaced as he gently stroked the cheeks of his two battle maidens.
With flushed cheeks, the two made no further comment, stepping back to Yuujin's side under their sisters' envious gazes.
"Damn Sirus, damn Earthlings, I admit I underestimated you."
"But your luck ends here. From now on, I'm handling this personally, and I'll slaughter every last one of you!"
Nappa's furious voice echoed as he stepped forward, emitting a menacing aura.
He felt humiliated for having underestimated their strength, watching as his Saibamen were effortlessly crushed like fools. Now, he only wanted to kill, to obliterate these eyesores!
Frowning, Yuujin realized that although Nappa was stronger than Raditz, he shouldn't be more than a few thousand combat points based on the original Dragon Ball. But the aura he was emitting now definitely didn't seem like just a few thousand.
"Give me the scouter."
Yuujin ordered, and a Red Sash warrior quickly handed hers to him.
If one doesn't suppress their aura, disregards techniques for enhancing power, and takes combat experience into account, the scouter should yield an accurate reading of combat strength. It detects not only the energy within a living being but also includes weaponry and equipment in its assessment.
For example, a regular Earthling with no training might not even register one point, but if they're armed with firearms, the scouter might show four or five points. Similarly, martial artists who shed their weights will show higher numbers. It's a highly scientific device, widespread across the universe and Earth alike.
Yuujin put on the scouter and locked onto Nappa. The numbers on the device fluctuated before settling at 32,000.
While this level of power was trivial for Yuujin, he was still quite surprised—
"How do you have such high combat strength?"
"Hehehe... Surprised?"
"We're not like Raditz, that cowardly waste who avoids training. After Planet Vegeta's destruction, the princess and I continued the Saiyan mission, battling powerful foes, and our strength has long since surpassed Saiyan limits."
"But do you think this is my true strength?"
"No, my true strength is far beyond this!"
With a cold expression, Nappa clenched his fists, took a stance, and roared—
"Ahhhhhhh!!!"
The shockwave radiated outward as Nappa's energy skyrocketed, small stones levitating, and the very ground trembling...
In the end, Nappa's combat strength soared from 32,000 to 47,000!
"Hahahahaha!!!"
"See, Sirus, this is the power of a true Saiyan warrior!"
"Through countless battles, we've broken through the Saiyan limit to become the legendary Super Saiyan!"
Feeling his near-boundless strength, Nappa laughed loudly, feeling an unprecedented thrill.
Weakling Sirus, a pathetic Saiyan like you could never reach this level!
Yuujin fell silent, not out of fear of Nappa's combat strength, but because he realized he might have been too fixated on the original plot.
This was a real-world; even Goku had become Goku-chan, and Vegeta had become Vegeta-chan. It clearly wasn't the Dragon Ball world from the original story, so there was no reason Nappa couldn't surpass his original strength.
Yuujin had always viewed his knowledge of the original Dragon Ball as his greatest advantage, using it to plan things in his favor. This event, however, served as a wake-up call—this wasn't a comic or a movie, and if he thought everything would align with the original story, he might someday suffer for it.
A chill ran down his spine as Yuujin reminded himself: Dragon Ball's plot was a guide, but he couldn't rely on it blindly.
With mixed feelings, he felt a slight gratitude to Nappa for this reminder.
But did they seriously think they'd become Super Saiyans? That's some wild bragging!
To Be Continued...
Author Notes: After some thought, I decided to raise Nappa's combat strength. In the original story, even lower-class warriors like Bardock reached over 10,000 power level, and Nappa, an elite from Planet Vegeta, has much greater battle talent. It doesn't make sense for him to appear with only a few thousand combat points. As for Vegeta's 18,000, frankly, that doesn't match her genius status—at five years old, he was nearly on par with King Vegeta, so having such a low combat power at debut seems absurd.
