They Were Reborn And Said I Am The Savior

Chapter 4 - I, Son of the Dragon King

Lin Daotian’s face darkened. “What do you mean ‘pet’? You little thing, are you trying to turn the tables? Get it straight, I am your master. Got it?”

The panda looked at him with disdain, raising a small sign that read: The person qualified to be my master hasn’t even been born yet!

Then, it raised another sign: Do you even know who I am?

Lin Daotian looked at the little creature with amusement. “And who are you?”

The panda proudly lifted its big head and raised a third sign: I am a panda, do you understand? A PANDA.

“I have no idea, why don’t you tell me?”

Feeling smug, the panda raised a fourth sign: A panda, the divine beast of Earth! As one of the best pandas, all the people of Earthlings pamper and adore me! If you don’t serve me well, they’ll crush you to death!

“That amazing, huh?”

The panda raised a fifth sign with pride: Of course!

Then it raised a sixth sign: And I’m super fierce! My teeth can bite through steel! If you don’t behave, I’ll bite you to pieces!

“Really? Let’s see you act fierce.”

The panda’s expression grew serious as it lifted a seventh sign: Watch my Dragon Roar!

It then opened its short mouth and let out a soft “Ying Ying” sound, like a baby’s cry.

This adorable display made Lin Daotian laugh so hard he nearly fell. “A ‘Dragon Roar’? You’re gonna make me laugh to death!”

The panda, now dissatisfied, raised an eighth sign: Be serious! I mean it!

Lin Daotian quickly suppressed his laughter, though the muscles in his face were still twitching, struggling to hold back.

The panda, pleased with the impact it had, lifted a ninth sign: Now, do you see how awesome I am?

Lin Daotian nodded. “I see, you’re very powerful!”

Full of righteous indignation, the panda lifted a tenth sign: Then why aren’t you serving me properly? You’re so clueless for someone so big, how do you even survive?

“My dear Panda Lord, what kind of service do you want?”

The panda thought seriously for a moment, its eyes lighting up as it raised a sign: I’ve been sleeping too long and my whole body is sore. Give me a massage!

Lin Daotian smirked. “A massage? No problem!”

He immediately reached out and started rubbing the panda.

To be fair, this panda really lived up to its status as a beloved national pet. It was so soft and fluffy that the more he rubbed it, the more addictive it became. He couldn’t stop.

At first, the panda was quite comfortable and enjoying itself, but it soon realized something was wrong.

Lin Daotian was rubbing too hard—so much so that it felt like he might rub the fur right off! It quickly raised a sign: Pet, stop it!

“What did you just call me?”

The panda held up the sign: Pet!

“Say that again and see what happens?” Lin Daotian started rubbing even harder.

Moments later, the panda raised a sign in surrender: Master, I was wrong! Please spare me!

“Now that’s better!” Lin Daotian released his grip and threatened, “From now on, you are my cute pet. Wherever, whenever, you must call me ‘Master.’ Got it? Otherwise, I’ll rub you bald like before!”

The panda trembled, holding up a sign: I understand, Master!

And so, their relationship was firmly established.

Looking at the pile of signs at his feet, Lin Daotian couldn’t help but ask, “By the way, where do you keep all these wooden signs, and how do they always have writing on them? Where do you pull them from?”

The panda, still sulking, turned its head away but raised a sign: I’m not telling, not telling you! Nyah nyah nyah~

Lin Daotian chuckled to himself. This panda was really childish and cute!

He wasn’t in a rush to find out. After all, they had plenty of time together, and he could slowly extract its secrets.

For now, the most important thing was to test whether this panda truly possessed unbeatable luck.

If this was real, he was going to make it big!

With that thought, Lin Daotian carried the panda as he walked out of the school.

Parked beside the school gate was a row of shiny luxury cars, and inside them sat a group of burly men in suits.

As soon as they saw Lin Daotian come out, they all stepped out of their cars in unison, and just as quickly, they ran up to him, forming two neat rows. Bowing slightly, they shouted in unison, “Young master, please get in the car!”

Their voices were loud and imposing, their aura so overwhelming that everyone within 500 meters took notice.

Lin Daotian sighed helplessly. “I’ve told you guys so many times already, I’m still in school. Can’t you be a little more discreet? How am I supposed to keep a low profile like this?”

The leader of the group, a strong man named Wang Biao, was not only the head of the crew but also a powerful summoner. He had been by Lin Daotian’s side for many years and was highly trusted.

With a bitter expression, he responded, “Young master, we’re already being very low-key! Today, we only brought eight cars and sixteen brothers—less than a quarter of what we usually bring! If we reduce it any further, many of the brothers will lose their jobs! In this tough economy, it’s not easy for us to make a living, so we hope you understand!”

Lin Daotian sighed again, “Alright, I really can’t argue about this. But from now on, park farther away from the school, dress more casually, and when you see me, don’t make such a big scene. Just pull me into the car and go! You’re acting like I’m the Dragon King himself. You’re not embarrassed, but I’m embarrassed for you!”

Once again, the group responded in unison, “Yes, young master!”

“Wang Biao, you seem even more imposing than before. Have you gotten stronger?”

Wang Biao immediately reported, “Yes, young master. Recently, I made a small breakthrough and have reached Platinum rank, level 10! However, my summoned weapon, the Purple Gold Staff, has also reached its limit. I’m not sure what’s required for the next stage of evolution, so I’m still exploring.”

“That’s not a problem. When we get back, I’ll take a look for you and make sure you break through quickly!” Lin Daotian said with a smile.

Summoned entities require evolution, and their evolution drives the summoner’s growth.

However, how they evolve is something summoners have to explore and study themselves, a process that’s both time-consuming and labor-intensive. But Lin Daotian could see through it at a glance.

Because of this, he often used his abilities to guide others in their cultivation, helping them develop their summoned items.

Many people who received his help saw a significant boost in their strength.

Being close to Lin Daotian, Wang Biao was well aware of this, and said with a tear of gratitude, “Thank you, young master!”

“We’re like family, no need to be so formal.”

At this point, Wang Biao noticed the panda in Lin Daotian’s arms and asked curiously, “Young master, what kind of pet is that? It’s black and white, all furry. It looks so strange.”

Lin Daotian laughed and introduced, “This is my summoned beast, a panda. Isn’t it cute? From today on, it’ll be living with us!”

The panda raised a sign and waved it: Hi!

Wang Biao was dumbfounded. “Young master, what does this mean?”

Lin Daotian smiled. “It’s greeting you!”

Wang Biao was even more stunned. “A greeting like this? No way!”

This was the first time he’d seen a summoned beast greet someone with a sign—it was so bizarre!

“What do you mean ‘no way’? You’ve seen it today! This panda of mine is no ordinary creature. It might do many unexpected things in the future, so you better get used to it!” Lin Daotian laughed.

Wang Biao, still in a daze, nodded. “Understood, young master! Shall we head back now?”

“No rush. I need to buy some things first.”

Lin Daotian, still holding the panda, crossed the street and walked toward a store on the other side.
