Chapter 4:
Chapter 4: Instantly Slaying the Sect’s Experts! Why Are You Crying If I Don’t Guard the Demon Cave?
“Treasure-grade artifact?” Chu Junge’s tone was cold. “You talk too much!”
Suppress the Demon Cave? Then I just won’t suppress it. Who said I had to?
BOOM!
Chu Junge’s body trembled as an overwhelming pressure erupted from him. Countless strands of qi surged as a divine phantom appeared behind him—bathed in thunder, the image of a god-king emerged.
This was the phenomenon of the Divine Body: [God-King Bathed in Thunder].
As Chu Junge raised a finger, the god-king shadow mirrored his movement. Thunder crackled, divine might gathered, and in an instant, a pale violet divine lightning shot toward Liu Haitian and the others like the wrath of the heavens.
“Fist of Heaven’s Dominion!”
With a low shout, Chu Junge didn’t stop there. His figure flashed and appeared before Liu Haitian and the other Elders, slamming his fist forward.
With one strike, the heavens were suppressed!
“How dare you!” Liu Haitian roared, his eyes ferocious. “Elders, attack with me! Suppress this treasonous disciple!”
He instantly summoned the Star River Disc.
The other Elders also erupted with power and charged toward Chu Junge with sinister smiles.
So what if he refused peace? Then they would teach him a harsh lesson!
“Chu Junge, so what if you have a Demon Body? With half your cultivation bound suppressing the Demon Cave, how much strength can you possibly exert? You dare act so arrogant?”
“Let’s see how long you can keep up this arrogance…”
Li Fan sneered in the dark, envious of Chu Junge’s Demon Body. Though not a Human Divine Body, it was no weaker. Meanwhile, he was just an ordinary human. He eagerly watched, already imagining how Chu Junge would be beaten down.
But before his thought could finish, what he saw froze his expression.
The Star River Disc?
A single strike of divine thunder blasted it away. Not only that, its once-brilliant luster dulled instantly. A sorrowful hum echoed from the weapon—it had been heavily damaged.
Just the manifestation of the Divine Body had crushed a treasure!
And Chu Junge was surrounded by a mist of blood energy, as if divine light was about to be born. His life force turned into blood dragons that roared fiercely.
Each punch contained apocalyptic power. The entire Demon Cave trembled beneath his blows, rumbling violently.
One punch for each old bastard. One punch for every filthy dog.
Instant kill!
Every one of them—instantly crushed!
Powerful and unstoppable!
Like dead leaves in a storm, none of the Star River Sect’s high-ranking members could withstand Chu Junge’s fists.
In a flash, Liu Haitian and the others coughed up blood and were sent flying, slamming into the ground and cracking it open. The entire palace trembled, as if it might collapse at any moment.
“PUH!!!”
“Your cultivation… how is this possible! How can you unleash this much strength?!” Liu Haitian coughed blood again, his face filled with disbelief.
Then, his expression changed drastically as he looked behind Chu Junge—and saw the rune chains shattering one after another.
“Beast! You dare undo the seals and reclaim your cultivation? You’ve given up suppressing the Demon Cave?! Are you trying to doom the Star River Sect?!”
“Father!” Liu Yan’er rushed forward to support Liu Haitian, glaring at Chu Junge. “You’ve gone mad! He’s your Master! How could you attack him?!”
“And you even unsealed your cultivation? Do you realize the entire sect will face a monster tide if you do this? You’ve changed, Chu Junge, you’ve really changed.”
“We just wanted a little essence blood from your Demon Body. At most, you’d suffer some damage to your vitality—it would heal with time.”
“The monster tide hasn’t even started yet. Even if you’re injured, it won’t affect anything. But you attacked your Master and the Elders over something so trivial? And now you want to betray the sect too?”
Liu Yan’er burned with anger and grief. Her voice choked with sorrow. “You’re not the Senior Brother I once knew. You’ve become a complete stranger!”
“Senior Brother Chu, hurry and reseal the Demon Cave. You can’t let personal grudges endanger the whole sect. Think of the bigger picture!”
Unlike Liu Yan’er, who was still in her delusions, Li Fan anxiously tried to stop Chu Junge. Especially now that he could feel the deep tremors from within the Demon Cave, his fear only grew.
“Beast! Stop this madness!” one Elder shouted.
“Junge, let it go,” another Elder begged.
“Suppress the Demon Cave—do it now!”
“What are you waiting for?!”
“We’re all injured already. You’ve had your fun—just reseal the cave!” the Elders and Liu Haitian cried out one after another.
“Suppress the Demon Cave? You all wanted demon blood to cultivate. You even built the sect beside the Demon Cave. And now you expect me to clean up your mess? The monster tide? Heh. Let it come.”
Chu Junge chuckled lightly.
Suppress the Demon Cave?
Why should I?
A bunch of idiots. You really thought I was weaker just because my cultivation was bound?
You attacked me, and now you want me to protect the Demon Cave? Are you dumb, or do you think I’m the dumb one?
“You want the Star River Sect to be destroyed? You want the common people nearby to be slaughtered? The demon race has already sensed the disruption—if you don’t reseal it now, everything will be lost!” Liu Haitian cried out in panic, his injuries worsening as he coughed.
“You all can die. What does it have to do with me?” Chu Junge said with a smirk.
His former self was stupid enough to guard this place out of blind loyalty. Yet no one in the sect or among the people showed the slightest gratitude. If they were all ungrateful wolves—why should he help?
Moral blackmail?
What a joke.
If he had no morals, no one could blackmail him.
“Let’s talk this out, Junge. Please, let’s talk!” an Elder cried.
“We were wrong—we admit it!”
“Junge, we were wrong!”
“Please reseal the Demon Cave! This isn’t a joke!”
“Do you really want to see innocent people die?” one Elder after another pleaded, completely forgetting how coldly they had treated him earlier or how they’d just tried to suppress him.
“Beast will always be a beast. As long as you carry demon blood, you’ll never be human again!” Liu Yan’er screamed hatefully. “You still dream of being part of the Human Race? Ridiculous!”
“You don’t care about the sect. You don’t care about humanity. You’ve let me down. Was everything you showed before all fake? Thankfully, I didn’t choose to be with you. Otherwise, I’d be a sinner to the Human Race!”
“Pfft.” Chu Junge laughed aloud. That was hilarious.
Be with him?
Where did she get such confidence?
She was dreaming.
Even if he were truly a demon, so what? What could she do—bite him?
“Senior Brother Chu, please, reseal the Demon Cave! The demons are really about to erupt!” Li Fan was desperate now.
“I’m begging you! I was wrong, everything is my fault! Please don’t take it out on everyone else!” Li Fan’s voice cracked.
“Senior Brother Chu, I believe you still have a conscience! You must!” Li Fan shouted, nearly hysterical.
This love-crazed fool Liu Yan’er was still saying dumb things, even when everything was about to collapse. They were all about to die!
Face pale, Li Fan begged with all his strength.
But Chu Junge simply ignored them. He stood there watching the surging demon energy from the distance, his gaze filled with amusement. His lips curved into a playful smirk as he glanced at Liu Haitian.
“Damn it! Damn it!” Li Fan cursed inwardly as Chu Junge remained silent. But he’d learned his lesson—he didn’t dare say another word.
“I can’t die with the sect. I still have a bright future. A great life ahead. If they won’t leave, I’ll go first!”
Gritting his teeth, Li Fan made up his mind. Just as he prepared to slip away—
Liu Haitian stood up.
