The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system

Chapter 339: Nana's demand for alimony.

In the mansion of the Zhang family, Zhang Xian, Nana and the elders were sitting in the living room. Zhang Xian was responsible for gathering everyone together because he had something important to say.

Grandma Zhang had a feeling that she was not going to like what she was about to hear. Rather than listen to bad news after a somewhat good day, she preferred to tend to her in door garden or rest until dinner was ready.

She moved her body in the chair, feeling a lot uncomfortable.

"Can't this wait until tomorrow Xian?"

"No." Nana blurted out in place of Zhang Xian.

She noticed the disapproving looks of the elders for speaking out of turn so she quickly lowered her eyes and shut up.

Zhang Xian in a more polite voice then took over, delivering the same answer but in a better way.

"I am afraid that it cannot wait mother. I have some news to share with you both."

"Go on, son. What is it?" grandpa Zhang asked in a neutral voice.

Grandma Zhang clenched her fingers around the walking came in her hands. Every bit of her was screaming that it was bad news. If she could, she would have preferred to seal her ears and not hear a word of it.

Zhang Xian was filled with nervousness because he knew they would be angry. But still, he wanted the news to come from him and not online gossip.

He gulped and said, "Yura and I signed the divorce papers today."

Immediately after sharing this, he fell to his knees in front of his parents and looked at them with apologetic eyes.

"I am sorry, mother, father. I have not been very helpful since i returned and i have failed at this as well. I apologize if the news of my divorce will affect the company in some way. The lawyers...."

"Get up." Nana screamed suddenly, cutting him off.

It was as if she didn't have an inside voice because half the time when she opened her mouth, she sounded like a honing penguin, or maybe a duck.

"Why do you keep degrading yourself like this?" she asked. She looked at the elders and said to them, "Parents-in-law, is this what you want to see? So what if he divorced that woman? He has me now, i am his only wife as it should be. Things like company stocks, they can recover easily. The bigger problem right now is that that woman is going to take two hundred fifty million of our family money."

"Our..." Grandma Zhang said softly.

She was wondering when they became an 'our' with Nana. What had she contributed to the family coffers to the making such a claim?

"How can we allow this to happen? It's quarter of a billion, do you know how much that is?" Nana asked them.

Grandma Zhang looked at her husband. On her face was a sneer as she listened to Nana's rant. How could she ask them if they knew what quarter a billion was. Had she forgotten who grandpa Zhang was?

He had signed deals worth billions and made the Zhang group bigger that his own father had done. Of course, he knew what quarter a billion was.

"What has that woman done to deserve such a large sum of money? Her sons are already sitting at the top of the pyramid in the family company. What about my son and I? What have we received so far? If anybody deserves that money, it should be me because i have been caring for Zhang Xian all these years. Parents, i am of the suggestion that the alimony be given to me."

"What insolence!!" Grandpa Zhang barked.

Nana sealed her lips immediately. She could tell that she had successfully managed to anger the elders.

"Did you expect a financial reward for taking care of him before you knew that he came from a wealthy family?" grandma Zhang asked her.

"That was different..." Nana croaked out.

She was scared but she had no plans to back down. That quarter of a billion had to be hers. She would not sleep easy knowing that her love rival had received what was rightfully hers. She was Zhang Xian's wife, the money was hers too, not just his.

"Your greed knows no bounds." Grandma Zhang told her. "Your son, our grandson is in a top university, one of the best in the world. He was recommended by his brothers and we paid a lot of money to get him in because he is not qualified to be there. We bought him a house, servants, cars and he is learning about business under the best managers. When he returns after three or four years, he will join his brothers in the Zhang group as long as he proves himself capable. Does it sound like we have not done anything for him?"

"You receive five million as a monthly allowance just for being our sons mistress." grandpa Zhang told her.

Nana winced at the use of the word mistress. She abhorred the way it was used in reference to her. How was she a mistress? She was a wife, clearly.

Grandpa Zhang got to his feet and he said, "Xian, starting tomorrow, report to Zhang material manufacturers. You will be under executive manager Zhang Hang. Everything has been arranged for you so all you have to do is learn and get used to the business. As for Yura's alimony, i don't want to hear another word."

"Father-in-law...." Nana cried out.

There was disappointment all over her face.

In a soft but deadly voice, grandpa Zhang told Nana. "One more word and i will throw you out of this house without a care to what we owe you. I believe that my wife and I have been tolerant enough."

"Father..." Nana croaked out.

"Enough." Zhang Xian shouted at her.

He got up and bowed before his parents, looking very embarrassed and ashamed by what had just happened. He had asked Nana to drop the issue and she promised to. She broke her promise however, proving that he couldn't trust her words anymore.

Zhang Xian regretted coming with her to reveal the truth to his parents.

"Xian, follow me." Grandpa Zhang said in a stern voice.

Zhang Xian, with his head lowered slowly dragged his feet and followed his father out of the house. They walked slowly all the way to the side of the mansion, to a part of the house Zhang Xian had never been to.

It was a mini mansion, guarded heavily outside by bodyguards that gave off a scary aura. As they approached the door leading inside, the bodyguards bowed respectfully and gave them way.

Grandpa Zhang stopped so Zhang Xian halted his steps as well. Then grandpa Zhang turned around and looked at his forlorn looking son.

"Xian," he called softly.

"Yes father." Zhang Xian answered softly. He couldn't even raise his head to meet his father's eyes.

He figured that he had already embarrassed himself and disappointed him enough for one day.

"You keep disappointing me more and more." Grandpa Zhang said honestly.

Zhang Xian's shoulders fell.

"I have been handling you softly because we have just got you back. I didn't want to push you because i am afraid to break you. Your mother told me that some of your memories have returned and yet even with all the knowledge of the past you still opted to divorce your worthy wife and keep that thing." Grandpa Zhang's face expressed disgust ad he talked.
