The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system

Chapter 334: Not a war criminal, just a woman on a mission.

In the real world in the meantime, her phone was ringing non-stop but the calls went unanswered. The system would not allow her to be distracted.

The caller was Jing Hee whose message had been read but left unanswered.

Alix had done it deliberately, wanting the woman to be so desperate that when they did eventually meet, she would fall to her knees.

Jing Hee was at the hospital in Lin Billi's room where she often was, lately. A new expert that had been flown into the city from another Shanghai had just finished examining Billi. From the look on his face, both women had known that the result was negative even before the expert could talk.

It's why Jing Hee was calling Alix non-stop.

Over ten experts from the country had examined Billi and none had a good answer. Even the one abroad that they consulted with were just as confused.

To Jing Hee, they seemed to be more interested in studying the illness and documenting it rather than curing it.

The new doctor who was surrounded by a team of doctors from the hospital shook Billi's hands but he could barely get a grasp on them.

It was nothing but loose skin and meat, no ounce of hardness.

"What did you eat on that day?" he asked her.

"I don't know." Billi answered rudely and dismissively.

She already knew that he couldn't help so he was wasting her time. This was a question she had answered many times already. They knew what she had eaten, drunk, touched and all other little details of the day.

"Think about it young lady, maybe you forgot something. Even the smallest detail...."

"I told you that the cat and....." she swallowed and broke off before looking her mothers way. Jing Hee had forbidden her from talking about the cat and the snake, calling it a ridiculous story.

The hotel had threatened to sue them if they continued spreading false information in public. All of the footage they had lacked any sign of a cat and snake plus the other people who attended the party had recanted their statements.

"I want to sleep." Billi told them.

She closed her eyes and pretended that she was asleep as her arms were put back in casts and supportive devices reattached.

The doctor turned to a distracted Jing Hee and he shook his head as expected.

"Unfortunately, i do not know what to make of the situation right now because its not a condition i have encountered before. We will have to conduct further research and do more tests to see what we can do for the patient."

Jing He smiled dryly and nodded. In her mind, this doctor was now useless since he couldn't help.

The head doctor then said to Billi, "We will leave you to rest now. Please excuse us."

All the doctors left and mother and daughter were left alone in the room. Immediately, Billi looked at Jing Hee eagerly.

"When is she coming?"

"That little bitch is not even responding to my messages or answering my calls. It seems that she wants to see you in such a condition forever." Jing Hee replied through gritted teeth.

She had done her best to rein in her anger when the doctors were examining Billi but now that they were gone, she was expressing it openly. It was in her eyes, the tone of her voice, the flaring of her nostrils and clenching of her hands.

Jing Hee looked like a python that was all but ready to swallow someone.

"Mother, do anything to get her here. She has to reveal the doctor that healed her. I cannot be crippled like her for the rest of my life. If i have to live that way, i would rather kill her and then myself." Billi sounded and looked a bit unhinged as she said these words. "I will climb up to the rooftop of this hospital and throw myself off."

It was not the first time Billi was saying such outrageous things and every time she did, Jing Hee's heart raced in a panic. Billi was the only child she had, and the only thing which kept Lin Qianfan tied down to her.

If something happened to her, Lin Qianfan would surely divorce her and bring in another woman, one of his many mistresses for sure. Or maybe that Meifen woman that bore him a son.

This was not a random thought because she had heard her mother-in-law suggesting this to Qianfan a few days ago. She was of the opinion that the best way of getting her grandson into the family was by having those two marry.

Jing Hee would never allow that marriage to happen. She would rather take Lin Qianfan down and destroy Lin power holdings altogether than to let him live happily with his mistress and male heir.

Billi was her prize, the golden goose which laid golden eggs. She was Jing Hee's one tie to wealth and privilege in society since Lin Qianfan couldn't be counted on. Nothing could happen to her daughter.

In a stern voice, she said to her daughter, "I told you that i would fix this problem so stop talking nonsense and get your head on straight. You should be thinking of nothing but your wedding to CEO Ming Le Yang."

Lin Billi cackled dryly, mocking her mother and herself. What wedding would occur when she was in such a condition? They could keep fooling Ming Le Yang for now with her doctored pictures and claims that she was abroad for an event but sooner or later, he would find out she was hospitalized and suffering from an unknown illness. He had not even mentioned wanting to marry her and yet her mother talked about it as if it was an already done deal.

Billi had been around enough wealthy people to know that she would be rejected and isolated from their ranks if this condition persisted. Not even Ming Le Yang would accept her like this.

She would never be like that fool Alix and endure humiliation of being crippled for years.

"I will kill myself if i have to live like this mother." she said in a softer but more determined voice.

Jing Hee frowned and dialed Alix's number yet again. While waiting for the other to answer, she stepped out and asked a nurse to come over and sedate Billi once again.

Three hours later, Alix was still going strong. Her body count was as high as six thousand now and she was at the top of the rankings, sitting so steadily that no other gamer would get rid of her easily.

Seeing her kill count rise, other gamers rushed into the city, eager to increase their numbers as well.

Unbothered by all the damage she had caused, Alix was killing her way to the underground base, the place where the entire city was controlled from.

"You do realize that this qualifies you to be a war criminal on your earth, right?" The system which couldn't hold back finally told her.

"Nope, just a woman with a mission." she answered.

"You have destroyed a quarter of the city within a few hours You killed men, women, children, young and old." It reminded her.

"Fictional people blue elf, not real individuals. And i am going to continue destruction thanks to someone that gave me a mission." she answered.
