Chapter 227: A Shaman {227}
With a sigh of relief, Keitaro turned around and stretched his body just a bit, he felt slightly sore, probably because he sat around for a bit too much, he really needed to work on easing up his posture.
He wondered if curses like the ones he had met were all around the world, so many souls trapped by the curse energy.
He wondered how much suffering they had to go through just because of curse energy.
Keitaro was not really that hopeful, curse energy was truly a curse, a very bad curse, it may be useful but it brought so much harm, he wanted to optimize it.
Try to make it better by infusing natural energy into it to make it better, he was the first successful test with making curse energy and natural energy once, he could somewhat mix the energy but it was quite difficult.
However, the energy created from the mix was as potent as natural energy and as efficient and had about as much use as curse energy.
So it was a potent energy that was as versatile as curse energy, long story short, he could buff himself up while also buffing up his technique to a new level, truly a wonderful thing.
Granted he had access to that mode for only 5 minutes give or take, still was busted.
As he was walking back to his little house for the time he was here, Akane suddenly let out an eager bark, her nose was twitching as if she had caught an intriguing scent.
Before he could do anything to calm her down, she jumped off his shoulder and dashed away with surprised speed, by surprising speed he meant she was quite literally a blur.
He sighed as she had given him no choice but to follow after her.
Trailing behind his companion, he had to navigate through overgrown grass and winding paths, Eventually after 20 or so minutes, he eventually reached a secluded clearing.
There in the middle of it all, he could see a small yet traditional Native American hur.
Its frame was weathered but sturdy, adorned with talismans and feathers hanging from the entrance. The scene had an air of mystery to it.
Something else that quickly caught his attention was the fact that natural energy was abundant here....like very abundant, not as much as the lake in Nepal but still quite abundant....he wondered why.
His gaze eventually landed on the old man that was standing infront of the hut.
The man was lined up with age and wisdom, his clothes bore intricate patterns, and Keitaro was able to decide he was probably a shaman.
And the old man's eyes seemed to hold a depth that seemed to see beyond what was normally visible to the average person.
The man probably could see curses, that was always good info.
The Shaman's eyes eventually landed on Keitaro, then the man gazed toward Akane who was looking at him funny.
He then nodded his head as if he had been expecting them.
"So, you're the one who stilled the restless spirits," the old man spoke, his voice a low rumble, filled with both gravity and welcome. "It has been a long time since someone had the courage to intervene with such a curse. But there are echoes, lingering pains still tethered to this land."
Well yeah, the earlier Europeans were not known for their kindness, the souls of thousands of native people were slaughtered, truly the work of people who said they worked for God.
He calls bullshit. How could people saying they work for God act like such dick, so twisted....
Hold up...
The painting that he saw from the cave in England played in his mind at this moment, the story of the fallen celestial being.....
Let's say that story was correct, if that celestial spirit was banned from heaven per se, what would it do?
It would probably try and make its creator's masterpiece into the worst version of itself possible.
Let's say Adam and Eve were the reason the curse came to be biting into the apple, that could explain some stuff.
But the man who explained curse energy to the world was a Buddhist, he felt like the Christian route although viable could not be the full truth, he needed to find a way to connect it to Buddhism.
"Have a seat" The man said to which Keitaro lifted and took a sit like the man had asked him to.
"Sir?"
"Spirit Weaver"
He could tell that this man's name, was probably his title, He knew he was stating the obvious, but oh well.
"You could tell the curse had been slain and their soul liberated, how?" Keitaro asked looking at the man.
"I could feel the curse holding onto those girls being destroyed, the birds flew more freely and the eeriness that plagued those lands was lifted," The man said in a voice full of wisdom.
The man did show him the fact that 19 buds were growing from the dirt.....well, he wasn't going to question the man.
